We have been visiting this nice karczma for several years now during our winter holidays. It has become our favorite place to dine in Bialka. It provided excellent food and atmospere of popular Polish karczma, let overcrowded at times. Hate to admit the overall quality of Litworowy Staw seems to decline though. The food is nice but the portions are getting smaller, the service is not so quick as before (we happened to be served by the same waiter twice this year to our regret), the total bill is higher than before. I noted that as soon as the popular food place starts to expand it looses control on the quality. I do hope that this place will stand its high standards. Can give only 4* for now, sorry.

Its not restaurant but simple, clean, nice eatery. Been few times. My partner and my meal not always were coming together. Soups are nice, every day different soup of day served in vase, portion enought for 3 people for 5PLN (1GBP). They have decent pierogi (dumplings), pancakes with gulash and roast pork is also ok. Prices are one of the cheapest in Szczawnica.
All in all not the best food of my life but a good, cheap find for Szczawnica.

Good food in very nice building right on the edge of Pieniny National Park. Were went in just for breakfast and we stayed till next morning as restaurant is part of complex including Gościeniec with accommodation. Quite busy in the evening. Own car park with plenty of spaces.

Being in the Mountains in Poland may turn out tricky when it comes to food. Most places look good from the outside, like wooden chalets or ancient inns. You go in and things change. This is not the case with U Walusia. Very friendly environment and great food, though mostly Polish classics. You may want to try the griddled trout or a variety of Polish soups. This place is made for both short lunch or a long-haul drunken visit with your friends. The crackling fireplace adds to atmosphere. Recommended!

I just visited Niedzica with friend with 4 kids and we stop for the late lunch in "Hajduczek" restaurant. Restaurant located very close to Niedzica castle, so the area is pretty busy during high season. But we were able to find the table on the patio without long wait. Service was great, food was delicious! Restaurant serves traditional polish food. Both vegetarian and non-vegeterian options are available. Great soups: we tried barszcz (borscht), żurek and tomato soup and all of them were great. Pierogi and naleśniki (pancakes) were great as well. Very reasonable pricing: we paid ~33 USD for 6 people.

This place gained it's fame after taking part in "Kuchenne Rewolucje", Polish version of "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" franchise. The interior design isn't very welcoming, and it's got to be said - we thought we were in a wrong place. Not so good for the first impression. But after that it was only better. Especially, when food arrived, and those portions were very large, we couldn't even finish them. And the food was really tasty with reasonable prices. Definitely a place to go to, even if it gets very busy in tourist season. Close to the final stop of Dunajec river rafting attraction. Restaurant without motorised access. Massively overpriced municipal car park nearby.

The diner/restaurant serves big portions of wonderful food, moderate prices and looks very traditional which makes it a nice atmosphere! Only one problem, the waiting for the food takes quite a while, so don't expect this to be a fast food diner.
