Welcome to Steffens Restaurant, where Southern hospitality and scratch-made meals meet! Family owned and operated since 1948, we're still Kingsland's favorite local family diner. At Steffens Restaurant, we believe fresh food tastes better! All of our food is made fresh daily and never, ever frozen. We use the fresh, high-quality ingredients in every meal, and we think you'll be able to taste the difference! Whenever possible, we use local meat, dairy, and produce to support our local farmers and merchants. We bring the best of the farm right to your table! We've been preparing our meals the old Southern way for over 67 years! Our award-winning burgers and buttery, scratch biscuits are sure fill your belly and make you feel right at home. We're also famous for our Southern Fried Chicken, seasoned and fried to perfection. And did we mention our Eggs Benedict won best in the State Award? We've got all your favorite comfort foods cooked just the way you like 'em. Now remember, patience is a virtue. Good food ain't rushed! So come on in, get cozy, and join us for some good, old-fashioned, Southern homecookin'.
Another TA big win! Only 5 minutes off I-95 exit 3, what a find! Today’s menu included butter peas that tasted like they were picked this morning, REAL Southern greens, okra and tomatoes, perfectly fried green tomatoes and catfish fillets - served HOT and not a bit greasy, not even a trace of oil to be seen on the plate. Two “well-seasoned” ladies in the kitchen, Miss Helen and Miss Carolyn, I believe they are in their 80s and they are indeed highly skilled Southern chefs. It’s nigh impossible to come close to my late mother-in-law’s standards, another fine cook raised on an Alabama Farm. Steffen’s made the grade. We will stop here every time we head down the highway to visit family, and will do our best to spread the word. Oh, and the service was friendly and efficient, prices super reasonable, portions ample. Now I want to turn around and go back . . . .

This place has excellent pizza! The salads were good also. Everyone in the place recommended everything. They said the pasta and sandwiches were awesome. The hostess Debbie was a nice and so friendly and checked back over and over. The server was also efficient and attentive but she was very busy. The whole place was solid full with customer and take out orders. Everyone raves about the dishes. Can’t wait to stop here on the next pass this way

Ship 2 Shore seafood restaurant was a great surprise. My wife and I shared a steamed platter with king crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. Everything was prepared and seasoned to perfection. We also had fried green tomatoes, deliciousness. My little girls shared a kids fried fish, the piece of fish was big enough for them to share and they loved it. I highly recommend this place.

We only prepare the finest custom-aged mid-western corn-fed beef available. Award-winning menu consists of 50 menu items under $15! $2.47 drafts, martinis, and margaritas all day, everyday! Live music Friday and Saturday nights. Come as you are... no required attire! We believe dining with us should be a point of conversation long after you have left our restaurant. Millhouse Steakhouse provides the right dining experience for any occasion!
We went with a large group to Millhouse. Most of the group had been there before and liked it. Our server was very good and attentive and made sure to get everyone's drink and food orders and kept it all straight. The kitchen was definitely off this day. Much of the food came out cold or had obviously been sitting a while. My wife's Tuscan Italian Trio was cold and had to be sent back to get reheated, which is not the same as fresh. My Shrimp Penne A La Vodka was warm, but had obviously cooled off a bit. We think the food would have been good if it was freshly made and had not sat around a while. Not being locals, we do not expect to be back.

Not sure what to get as we were just passing through. Hostess/Cashier gave us some suggestions, and settled upon the ribs and the brisket sandwich. And of course had to try all the sauces. Sweet sauce was our favorite. The hot just seemed like franks red hot was dumped into bbq sauce. The ribs were large. Got the 1/4 rib plate and was glad I didn't go bigger. The mrs. really enjoyed the grape juice lemonade, whereas I found it a bit tart. The exterior does not do the inside or the food justice, so go in and enjoy!

Salt. Pepper. Thyme is a place where the genuine care and comfort of each customer is our highest mission.
Waitress never put in our order. We sat for 45 min during lunch while everyone else got their food and left. We were about to leave when waitress came out and let us know food was on the way. We ate in a rush...I am so sad by not reading this review until now. My apologies. If your in the neighborhood come this Summer, give us another chance. Up under renovation at the current time. We had a good meal here after many hours in traffic in South Carolina on I-95. We made good time in Georgia and decided to stop for gas and a eat. Ruby Tuesday fit the bill with quick service and very good food. Love their ribs!!!

We stopped here for lunch while traveling down I-95. They were just recovering from the lunch rush when we arrived at 1:30p. Ordered the special - chicken pot pie for $5.99, although all day breakfast is my favorite. Happy that they now make hot chocolate with steamed milk (topped with whip cream) and lattes too.

We were staying in Kingsland on our way south. We were traveling with our dog, so we wanted something simple and quick. We found this place across from our hotel. It is a stand with a couple of picnic tables or you can just do take out. They have a variety of sandwiches, platters, and sides. We got the beef and pork platter over rice with 2 sides (only $12) and the rib platter over rice with 2 sides ($12). The meat was smokey and juicy. Nice sauce. The ribs were very meaty and had a great smokey taste. We tried the baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and macaroni salad as sides. The beans and cole slaw were very good. The macaroni and potato were good, but not memorable.
