I'm the first to admit that I'm not overly familiar with Nepalese cuisine, but I have eaten hundreds of meals in Indian/Bangladeshi/Sri Lankan restaurants all over the world.
The dishes we had at Katmandu weren't vastly different from their Indian equivalents. Some were good, others ordinary. Service was on the slow side and prices were far too high.

Salt Bar is also an ideal location for functions and events including weddings, corporate, birthdays and kids parties.
Have been here before years ago...the venue is lovely but probably I made a bad choice with my food...had the grilled barrumundi and it was dry...my husband had the lamb shank and he enjoyed it....the meals are reasonably priced and there is a good variety....

We serve the best coffee in town from 6am, amazing breakfast & lunch AND NOW we have Tapas share plates from 5pm every Friday AND we are licensed. We have all the classic cocktails, beer, spirits and wines expertly selected for our wine list.
We've been coming here for mire than 10 years and I can honestly say we have never had anything that was not delicious. Menu is great as are the selection of cakes in the display cabinet. We decided to try somewhere else 25/2/18 and I'm so disappointed we did. Back to the Choux Box next time.

Surprised with a lovely dinner for my birthday.....what a gorgeous seafood restaurant. We chose one of the degustation menus which was superb and showcased the chefs talent with beautiful, fresh seafood. Awesome, friendly service, devine food, cannot recommend highly enough!

Best meal I've had in a long time. Early bird special but would have paid full price. 3 course meal and a glass of wine. All 6 different dishes we had were 5/5. Service and serve time was great. Kangaroo was the best I have ever had. They put alot of work into their dishes.

Have been going there during our stay at Peppers for about 4 years. The service was below par, 2 of the meals we ordered were good, one was pretty ordinary. We have noticed with time that the quality of food served is not what it use to be. We dined at other restaurants in the precinct, maybe the owners should spoil themselves and have a meal at the other local restaurants to see how well they are doing it.

Had breakfast here twice during our 5 night stay & it was delicious. Very well presented, full of flavour & fresh local ingredients. We loved the variety on the menu that catered very well for vegan & gluten free patrons. Strong perfectly made coffee with a variety of milks especially my favourite macadamia! Friendly & attentive staff too! Loved it..thank you

We ate twice at the Club's Bistro, on a Wednesday and Friday, and the contrast in noise levels was profound. Peaceful on Wednesday; deafening on Friday! But we went there for the food, and it didn't disappoint. The first time we enjoyed a superb Wednesday night special of Lamb Shanks ($14.90), served with a fabulous mashed potato and rich gravy combination. I thought it was one of the best meals I've ever enjoyed. The Friday night meal was less so, even though the crumbed lamb cutlets were generous in size, served with that sublime mashed potato and with a rich gravy that enraptured me. The carrots, broccoli and cauliflower complemented the rest, and for $20.90 each it represented good value for the quality of the food. But the NOISE! We arrived at 6.00pm, to a pre-booked table (thank heavens we had the foresight to do that!), but the noise was deafening and that detracted from the enjoyment of the meal. Once again we enjoyed a Robert Oatley Margaret River chardonnay ($29.00) but we'd have preferred another area of the Club where peace and quiet reigned. Moral: don't go on Friday nights!

Alfresco dining on the beautiful Salt Village Colonnade. Serving delicious coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch dinner and snacks. Take-away available. Open from 6.30am daily.
Our annual Salt Mantra holiday always includes a daily coffee from Saltbean Expresso Bar ... this has now changed. The coffee still remains very good, this is valued. However the service was a struggle... the staff seemed reluctant to serve and need to smile when the call for your order...
