It was with trepidation I attended with my sisters and mother. I have dined in the Vanilla pod once before and enjoyed it but I’ve never to a “brand” specific night like this before. There was limited info given regarding the menu when booking and as some of our party are particular about certain foods I was nervous someone would be left hungry. Thankfully it was a fabulous night! The food and drink kept coming for the entire night, all of which was delicious. One of the party can’t have eggs and they fully accommodated when one of the cocktails contained egg whites. The pair from Listoke spoke about the gin and brand at points throughout the night but it was a few lines here and there, they fully understood people were there to eat drink and be merry, not to sit in a class like environment listening to hours of info. Overall a very enjoyable night and excellent value at €50

At Jack's Railway our vision is that: Restaurant, is like your favorite meal that brings you back good and kind memories of past times, gives you hope for what lies ahead of you. And no matter how difficult the recipe the comfort of it makes it easy to make. Our place must be a place for all your senses and soul.Fresh food cooked with love and passion, accompanied with amazing wine, it is all served with great care and attention, with the pinch of friendly talk by the fire and drizzle of music and art events. This is our favorite recipe. A genuineness of atmosphere, friendliness and presence of good company.
What a nice surprise to find in kells. This place has all the signs of management that really want to make a difference. Very clean and slick and a nice warm welcome. The food was delicious so I guess the owners have a passion for food .
Without doubt ..value for money and nice surroundings..
Well done jacks

We run a full restaurant service and all of the items on our A La Carte menu are also available to take away - simply phone in your order and collect it (this service is not available during very busy nights). We also have a lovely dining room/bar available upstairs to hire for private functions of any kind (seats 50 people). It has a private Terrace, its own bar and bathroom facilities. Contact us for details of our party platters and finger food menus. We take bookings, but walk-ins are also welcome. We cater for groups and private parties and we are family-friendly, with a children's menu and outdoor play area available. General manager Joan Donegan (Head Chef) & Yvonne Flanagan Johnson (Restaurant Manager) look forward to welcoming you to The Bective. We are open from 5pm to late from Wednesdays to Saturdays and from 3pm to 9pm on Sundays (and bank holidays) and there is ample street parking available outside the restaurant.
Enjoyed our meal in the Bective last weekend. The staff were laid back and helpful, no delays in taking our orders or receiving our food which was great. The starters were a very generous size and tasty and the desserts were absolutely Delicious (definitely recommend the cuppa love!)
Overall a very enjoyable experience with a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Enjoyed a nice meal in The Round Tower this afternoon. Great menu, full of good steak options, fish dishes, chicken and Thai dishes. Quite an impressive variety to be fair. I had the home made beef burger which was huge and really tasty.
Very good, prompt service with smile and very decent prices.
A good option if in Kells. I was here before quite a few years ago. It was good then and it has maintained that standard up to now.

Had a pitstop here on a business trip for lunch and it was delicious. Reception area a bit dated on arrival but lounge area looks like its been recently refurbished and quits stylish. Had a bowl of lovely hot veg soup and homemade style brown bread with butter and both were delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Will be back next time im up this way!

We went to Kells to see the high crosses and came upon this little cafe/ second hand bookshop. Very friendly service and lovely apple slices with cream. We bought a few books too at either one or two euros each. A great place to stop.

There's not a lot to say about Zen Palace. The staff are friendly with service that is neither good nor bad. The food is typical Chinese, nothing exceptional but grand. The decor is questionable, but not unbearable. The only real negative is the constant in and out of people for takes outs, it kind of cheapens the place a bit.
Will I go back? Yes of course.

You can’t fault the service but I’m not a huge fan of the full Irish breakfast, perhaps it might be advisable to order an alternative from the small but well put together menu

A classic Irish pub in the heart of Boyne Valley Co.Meath. Open 7 days. We operate as a part of the Headfort Arms Hotel. Serving drinks with a late bar Thursday to Sunday and full bar menu available Mon-Fri 4pm-9.30 and Sat&Sun 12 Noon-9.30. Great bar for Cocktails featuring our brand new updated Cocktail Menu designed by the bar staff themselves.
When a waiter doesn't write the order down, you know something's not going to be right. We ate here just before Christmas and the food was very good. My wife very specifically asked that there were no peppers on her pizza. It arrived with peppers. When she pointed them out to the waitress, she said, no they are Jalapenos! All in all, the food was good but the waiting staff just didn't seem to cut it. They were hard to get the attention of and didn't seem to be overly switched on.
