This restaurant is truly a hidden gem... The unassuming exterior hides a beautiful and cozy restaurant inside. And then there's the food! OH! The FOOD! Don't be fooled by the small menu...the LARGE specials board is bursting with so many delicious dishes you will have difficulty deciding what to order.
The bruschetta is fresh, flavorful, and toasted to perfection. And it's served with two spreads: sun dried tomato and smoked salmon. Which is better? Each bite will tell you "this one" regardless of which one you taste.
The appetizers are large and sized for sharing! If there is a Baked Pear Salad on the board...GET IT!!! OMG! All of us LOVED it! The pears, mangos, and pineapple were some of the freshest, sweetest, flavorful fruits I've had. Then pair that with mixed greens, slivered almonds, gorgonzola, and house-made dressing...who needs an entree?
Turns out...everyone! ;-) Portions are generous on all the dishes. The Shrimp da Vinci puff pastries filled with fresh seafood is decadent and divine. The Eggplant Parmesan is beautiful and balanced.
Whatever you do...save room for dessert! Pack up half your meal if you're getting full, because the desserts are sooooooo tasty! I couldn't resist eating the decorative sugar topper, which left my hands sticky, but it was oh-so-worth-it! I'm not a "cake person" but the Italian Cream Cake is one of the best I've had! Very light and satisfying. And the Caramel Cheesecake...well...I'm a sucker for just about any cheesecake...and this one is no exception!
Throughout the meal, I couldn't help noticing all the different dishes coming from the kitchen...don't be surprised if everyone at the table has a different plate or bowl. And the desserts are all brought out on pedestals. It just adds to the ambiance of feeling like you're in someone's home.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or celebrating the fact that it's Tuesday, I *HIGHLY* recommend treating yourself to a meal in this special place. It's small, so make a reservation to ensure you get a table!

We were in Katy for a horse show at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center and stayed at the Hampton Inn just up Mason Road from this place. My wife and I walked from the hotel, 10 minutes tops, the other 3 drove from the equestrian center.
The service was fantastic and the food excellent.
For the 5 of us we had:
- a six choice appetizer tray, all selections were very good ( can't remember all the names - but stuffed grape leaves, Hummus, and 3 others).
- a Combinatipon mixed grill and side of grilled vegetables that 3 of us shared - excellent,
-a fillet mignon kebab,
- a grilled lamb & gyro plate.
The 2 Turkish Efes beer I had washed it all down nicely.
To top it off we all shared a Baklava for dessert

Very good experience. Fresh, crisp Caesar salad. Piping hot veal Parmesan with an excellent house-made marinara sauce! Very large portions. Attentive service. Great choice coming from the Hilton Garden Inn.

They have quite an eclectic menu, but not so much as to be overwhelming. The restaurant is also family friendly, as almost every table had kids at them. The drinks and food came out promptly and all the dishes we had tasted pretty good.
The owner came around, greeted us and asked us how we were doing. A nice touch. I would recommend this place.

Notice that I said "Contrary to popular belief"...? Rudy's is very popular around here, and almost every one I know prefers Rudy's over the other closest BBQ places, but frankly, I found their selections greasy, tasteless and overly hot spiced. The veggies were nothing to shout about either. Just not my choice at all.

The chicken and sausage gumbo did not have sufficient flavor to be considered gumbo. The crawfish bisque was thick, but not as flavorful as I've tasted before at other restaurants. The blackened salmon was plentiful in size, but, just okay in taste. Not a restaurant that we'll return to, nor can we recommend it to friends.

A family owned full service restaurant serving authentic freshly prepared Vietnamese and Asian cuisine in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Take out available!
Love this little neighborhood gem. Service always prompt and friendly. We tend to stick to their vermicelli bowls, tried the lemongrass chicken, shaking beef ( a favorite) and the meatballs. The meatball vermicelli bowl was just ok, I would recommend ordering the shaking beef and lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowls. Their egg rolls are good but did not care for the spring rolls, very dry.
A lovely touch bring each guests a spoon with creme brûlée with the check, and very tasty indeed!

Not my #1 mexican restaurant in Katy. A little over priced. Depending on what you order. The food is pretty good. Not wow though. Drinks are good but pricy. No happy hour boo... only reason is visit is they have a pretty good shrimp cocktail.

You have the wrong menu and it causing huge problems with our business. Not super happy with hoops that we have to get a little problem fixed.
Order food, then find a table - the usual. BBQ is delish, no wonder this restaurant is so popular! The decor reflects Midway's roots and the local Katy area. There is a LOT of seating here, and plenty of space. The private room was perfect for an HFD retirement party, too. :)

Jimmy Changas is a family of full-service Fresh. Mex. Fun. restaurants around the greater Houston area. All restaurants serve the highest quality Mexican food, offer a full bar and are open daily Sunday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, with a "Fresh. Mex. Fun" approach.
Not too crazy about this chain...it has that phony, "pre-fab" Mexican food vibe. A large menu, with large prices to boot, but somehow, the authenticity I get at a small hole-in-the-wall is lacking. It's Tex-Mex for the "Gringo tourist"...not real authentic. The red salsa was OK, but the green - tasting of avocados and sour cream - was totally lacking that crisp, sharp tomatillo flavor that marks a good salsa verde. The food wasn't bad...it just seemed like an imitation of Mexican food by someone from, oh I don't know, Minnesota might make.
