Kalkan, like its neighbor Kas, is a lovely Turkish beach town. While most travelers spend their time enjoying the sun and sea, history buffs will appreciate Kalkan’s proximity to several ancient Lycian cities. If you’ll be in town for more than a day, consider renting a villa—you’ll love the chance to live like a local in such a beautiful spot.

We are on holiday in kalkan & we are just round the corner from cafe vita. We have eaten there at lunch time a lot. If we don't wander up, they will deliver the food. The guys in the cafe are all amazingly lovely. The service is just wonderful. As is the food. I would so recommend a wee trip to cafe vita for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed.

We run a clean and natural service with traditional turkish dishes in our family restaurant. We serve fresh bread and pizza, pide from stone oven. yes maybe we do not have a view, we do not have a Terrace, but our meals are very different and delicious. We expect everyone to our restaurant :)

Recommended by friends to visit this little gem just outside Kalkan on the road to Kas. Adam picked us up from our hotel and we picked 5pm for a late Sunday lunch/early dinner so we could take in the fabulous views and see the sunset. Adam is rightly proud of his vegetables and herbs produced on the property and also at his other garden in the Mountains. Everything served is seasonal and fresh. We enjoyed beautiful and extremely tasty Mezze and then followed with superb lamb shanks served on a flaming platter with the home grown vegetables. One of us had a small tripping accident and Adam and his family could not have been more caring.
Those Brits Reading this review will hopefully appreciate the River Cottage comparison. Please make this restaurant an essential stop on any visit to Kalkan

Açik Mayis, Kapali Son Ekim. OPEN MAY TO END OF OCT EACH YEAR (SEASONAL) Baharat is a beautiful roof top restaurant in the heart of the Kalkan Old Town with views of the Harbour, local street life and the beautiful bay. You can find us about 20 metre along on the right, at the beginning/top of the cobbled streets and local traders, leading down to the the harbour(where the jewelery shops begin). Baharat was opened by Hasan and Metin in 2008, having worked in tourism for many years they decided to open a business of there own where they are both well known people within the local community and visitors to Kalkan. Our menu is varied and we offer both International and our own versions of traditional Turkish cuisine. All our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order with our produce being sourced locally. If you should have any special dietary requirements (gluten free, nut or other allergies) then please let us know and we will ensure your meal meets your requirements. We also offer a good wine list along with cocktails and all spirits. Our coffee is freshly ground and we serve the usual variety Latte, Cappuccino etc along with traditional Turkish. Since opening the restaurant has continued to grow in popularity and has become one of the top restaurants in Kalkan. This is due to our great team at the restaurant and the continued support of our friends and return quests. We look forward to seeing you at Baharat and in Beautiful Kalkan.
Hassan has it right great service, top presentation , lovely food in a great atmosphere.
You are never unhappy with going here from meeting the prompter at the door to being seated you are treated so well. The food is excellent and the steaks are just perfect. We had a mixed combo of calamari/prawns/ prawn boreks and wild boar tacos for starters, followed by steaks all round, surf and turf /steak rossini/steak with a delightful pepper and mushroom sauce, all perfectly cooked and so tasty and tender, Food is alway good in Kalkan but you have to put this in you must visit list.

Hidden away and under the shade this little cafe offers a super lunch menu.
The iced coffee is what it says, one of the best.
Our club sandwiches where lovely and came with nice home made chips. Portion sizes were generous.
We have only ever eaten at lunch time. Service is friendly and food good. A great little lunch stop.

Situated on the beautiful harbour front overlooking Kalkan’s pretty pebble beach & fishing boats, Seaport Restaurant & Café Bar offers a wide variety of beautifully prepared Turkish, International and Vegetarian cuisine, served in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We offer pre-dinner or after dinner cocktails, a variety of wines, beers & spirits as well as soft drinks. Our relaxing lounge area is available to enjoy a selection of various flavoured Nargile (Turkish water pipe). Our attentive staff will greet you with a warm welcome and ensure that your time here is a most enjoyable occasion. Whether its breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply drinks you can be sure of a wonderful experience here at Seaport. Reservations available.
This place never disappoints. The complimentary starter is the best we’ve tasted in Kalkan. The chicken plank (which a previous guest recommended) was delicious. My husband (a vegetarian) had the most amazing vegetable curry, other restaurants seemed to lack some flare in their vegetarian choices. We visited twice and each time the meals were amazing. Keep up the good work and we’ll see you in 2018.

Forget about eating at the big boy restaurants. If you want a true kalkan experience visit this lovely little eaterie set above the beach. Personal service, great food and a real sense that if they offered a little tapas bar for stand up pre dinner drinks, it would be THE place to go to in town. For ambition and authenticity it is a stand out!

Having stumbled upon the Small House last year, where we enjoyed the most delicious home cooked meal. We were keen to book again for our recent holiday and once again we weren't disappointed. We've tried a number of dishes on the menu and each once has been an experience. The restaurant seats around 16 people and is run by a husband and wife team, giving you a truly authentic evening. We will certainly be back.

Visited on the back of TA reviews and although busy, were afforded a table on the rooftop Terrace which affords a lovely view over to the harbour and a pleasing rustic setting. Were given a complimentary starter of a hot bread roll and olives, spicy salsa and balsamic oils. I had the stuffed sea bass with prawns and a portion of vegetables just cooked enough to give a nice firm texture. Fish cooked superbly and literally melted in the mouth. Partner had chicken with a Roquefort sauce with vegetables which she also enjoyed. All washed down with a bottle of house rose. Reasonably priced and given home made Turkish delight when settling the bill. Would happily recommend and return
