Lovely place to visit whilst in Kakopetria. Talk to locals and hear some interesting tales of the area. The owner is charming and with his wife and family run this quaint restaurant. Food is amazing. We had the fresh Trout in his secret sauce and their homemade pate. .. sensational. My only regret as I was leaving the next day and couldn't go again. But I did there for the famous apple cake . A must try.

Argentine and Cyprus dishes. Empanadas, chorizos, pastel, great fillets and Rib eye and chicken from Argentina,Malbec wines and Quilmez beers, and much more you may enjoy in the beautiful atmosphere of our lovely 220 year old building. Bienvenidos!
In this lovely greek village an argentine restaurant. The steak they serve here is probably the best on the whole island. The food that comes with the steak is very good as well. Don't miss this good-food opportunity in the Mountains of Troodos!

You have enough heat, salted waters and heavy local roses? Your Toscana trained liver now demands something delicate like Rose et Oro by Minuty? But you yet do not believe that such orange wines exist in Cyprus? Then put yourself and other family belongings into a jeep and... Start your way into Troodos Mountains towards Kakoupetria village. While driving there try to behaive, i.e., don't stop at numerous commercial wineries like Olympus - you find their stuff in any road kiosk, and you will be rewarded by fantastic orange-rose Eteny by... (my secret, as vintage is limited), but Provence now has a good competitor... So, what is next after such exclusive digestion or pre-party? Only Molos! Why? It is located on nice green rock with small stream outside quite populated and crowded village, so you can enjoy the sound of running waters. Food? Local mezes and delicacies are indeed great, but small size rainbow trout, though farmed, is the queen... Service? Good and attentive, but a bit villageous, but so what - you are in the Mountains. Wines? Those are as everywhere... And this is my typical challenge! With so many great boutique wineries around (I can name at least 3) producing top class white, rose and red sipages, you will still struggle with a wine list. Otherwise, it was a nice day.

We wanted to escape the Nicosia Heat and eat good Cypriot food as recommended by the other reviewers.
The Location was great in the middle of the Kakopetria Forest; surrounded by all sorts of trees; we really enjoyed the freshness of the weather.
The reception and service was very good; the restaurant was empty because we visited it in the middle of the week; we placed our order in the morning at the request of the owner; who justified his request when we arrived; we are served fresh food.
The food was generally fine but not reaching what we expected after Reading 9 excellent reviews; the Trout was good; the Lamb and Pork Souvla and Chops were average; the prices were very high compared to the quality and quantity served.

On a day trip to Kakopetria, we arrived about lunchtime and found this restaurant in the main street. The staff were very friendly, the food was very good as was the view of the town. We opted to sit at the back on the balcony to view the small stream below. We went in October so be aware that the balcony is in shade and was a bit chilly, so take a jumper but you can sit out the front in the sun, but this is on the roadside.. The restaurant is within walking distance of the old town.

Highly recommend! We stayed one night in this gem of a village and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had the small meze which was absolutely huge, the dishes just kept coming from salad, meats, grilled aubergine, halloumi, cheeses, desserts and everything down to the different breads were delicious. The manager was super friendly and made us feel very welcome.
