My wife and I took a fall ride through many rural rides in Connecticut with Charlene's Diner our destination. The server was excellent and we enjoyed our meals and the diner atmosphere. Definitely a place to return to.

We stop here often for breakfast. The gals are very friendly and do a great job of making sure your coffee cup is always full. Their cinnamon raisin bread is homemade and delicious. They have many, many repeat customers and that says a lot about a restaurant.

I contacted Erin on the recommendation of our venue and she was super nice and so easy to work with throughout the cake picking process. I live across the state and didn't have time to travel to taste cakes, but she explained all the flavors...MoreThank you CoastalLife9! We endeavor to dispel the myth that wedding cakes don't really get eaten, because we bake our cakes fresh, and that makes all the difference.

If you are looking for good Chinese food that is tasty and fresh, I recommend Imperial. They are located near the Dollar Tree in Griswold. Their menu is extensive. Lunch specials very reasonable.

They had a new great Turkey sandwich but it was the service. There was a lovely young lady there working alone. She was just the sweetest and most hospitable that we gave her a tip !

Always friendly. Sometimes a little slow but only because they are busy with drive thru. Always fresh

I had angel hair pasta (very thin spaghetti) with marinara sauce and sauteed veggies (broccoli, mushrooms, peppers). Pasta was cooked perfectly. Marinara was thick and well seasoned, lots of nice garlic! Veggies were plentiful. Sauce was mixed in with the pasta, and the dish was served piping hot. Portion was generous. The little rolls were unusually good too, hard crust on the outside; soft, moist, and yeasty on the inside; also served hot. Service was good, decor was sort of Italian provincial, pretty nice, adequate space around the dining tables. My whole bill was $8.50. Best restaurant around. Next time I'm in Plainfield I'll try a salad or a sandwich, everything I saw being served looked good.

Just ordered takeout from here, it was fantastic. I loved the taco pizza. The clam fritters were huge and the best I've had in the area! The staff was very friendly! Just discovered this place and will return!

Traveling through Jewett City on our way to Newport, we stopped here for lunch. It's a great little restaurant on a corner with street parking. Our server was friendly and attentive. The chicken walnut wrap with gorgonzola and raspberry vinaigrette was really delicious. The chunks of chicken were tender and juicy and the vinaigrette punched it up.

one of three Chili's locations in Connecticut.
We were on the run with 5 people in 3 cars going in different directions after dinner. There was really no wait since someone called in ahead of time. Everything was good, everything went well. I didn't like how we were sitting by windows in a booth and we had to look through other raised tables to see some of the TV's. There was also this guy who loved to hear himself talk so our corner of the restaurant could hear him. We ignored and had fun. Overall it was good, the service was good and if I wasn't driving a distance, I would've loved a cold beer in a big frosted mug. Someone got a margarita in a mug and seeing that will make you thirsty. Everyone liked the chips & salsa & conqueso-sp dip
