We followed all the good comments and decided to have dinner there without looking that much into it.
Our Italian is very limited, but usually we manage in restaurants. However very short after we were sat we were asked what we wanted we found ourselves in an awkward situation. We realized this place did not have a menu and it was a bit challenging to order without knowing what the offer was especially with waiters not speaking English or offering to explain what the kitchen was preparing.
As we remembered there was grilled meat, we ordered meat and as I noticed some ravioli on the table next to ours I ordered ravioli for myself (I don't eat meat).
So that was it, we did not really know what to expect not how much it would cost.
We were not disappointed. Service was super fast and with a smile. In no time we had on our table some farm style French fries, salad and a sort of beef carpaccio. Looking at other tables, we understood these were the side dishes.
My portion of ricotta spinach ravioli was very generous about twice what I usually get in restaurants.
The grilled meat was amazing. We only ordered one portion which consisted in two large steaks. 2 portions would consist into 3 large steaks. There was two types of beef an Irish and a local. The Argentinian would have been served in the 3 steaks portion.
We looked at what other tables were having, it looks like the place has a very single offer:
-antipasti consisting of melon and proscuito crudo
- grilled meat served with salad, beef carpaccio and French fries + a choice of sauces
- contorno which are the generous ravioli I had
- dessert, which you get whatever you had before, very light.
With the desserts as in many places in Italy a bottle of grappa and limoncello was brought to our table.
We had vino de la Casa as it often proved to be the right choice in Italy and anyway without a menu, we did not know what to ask. It looks like all the other tables had the same wine anyway (or beer).
Then it was time to pay the bill. We had no idea what to expect.
I still don't know what I paid for but it was incredibly cheap. We had a full meal with drinks and the total was 12€ each!!!!! In some restaurants you don't even get a starter or a dry pizza for that price.
Service was quick, food and drinks were amazing and the place very enjoyable. I am glad we chose ristorante Tabano that evening and would love to see more place like this. No fuss, just good ingredients!

This great restaurant is located centrally in the old quarter of Jesi, an historic 12th century village in the midst of the city. The cuisine is a mix of Africa, Mexico & Marche Italy and it works. Our family table tried a little of everything, all was enjoyed & there were no leftovers! Prices are very reasonable and be sure to order the local Verdichhio di Jesi! In the summer, the restaurant has access to a lush patio, it was a little cool for us in May to dine al fresco so we dined in, a very warm atmosphere.

This establishment is recommended by the Hotel Marini.
The service, and food were excellent, standard Italian fare but all of a high standard. Even in August it was busy with locals, a tremendous atmosphere.
Good wine list, the waitress recommended the cheapest Verdichio, saying it was real quality for the price, and it was, indeed so good I sought out the grower to buy a case.

Based on location, impression and reviews, we chose this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Welcome was nice, food was very good (i liked the ravioli al contrada) and we had no problems witg the house wine. We paid 67 euros for two, which I found inexpensive. Atmosphere was good. I can not compare with other restaurants in Jesi, but we did not regret our choice.

A Due Passi Dal Centro
True Jesi restaurant where the locals thrive and those without table reservation has to plan better next time.
Nice staff in a busy restaurant - some orders were missed but all delivered with a smile, sooner or later.
We tried different dishes and everything was good and the pizzas really good - if you like thin crust. Stable, good priced food worth more visits.
You should come here if,
You like pizzas,
Noisy friendly truly Italian atmosphere,
You can plan ahead and book a table
You should not come here if,
You are very sensitive to gluten
You want empty places

If you believe the advise to eat in those restaurants where the local population eats, you are in the right place at 'Mezzo Metro' or 'Half a metre'. A terras packed with guests, queues at the entrance and a constant coming and going of take-outs can't be wrong. According to the friendly staff the dough is left to rest and rise for 48 hours witch results in a light, fluffy and crunchy crust. The pizzas arrive at the table in a rectangular shape with different lenghts according to the number of orders. The fillings are both traditional as more 'daring' and are always delicious.
It is a good idea to book a table if you want to sit outside, on any day of the week.

Antonietta is only open for lunch and we made a reservation on the advice of our airbnb host, which seemed strange for a lunch restaurant. But when we realized how popular the place is, it became apparent that the reservation was needed. The menu is very limited - 2 options for primo and 2 options for secondo, with no written menu. Everything we had was delicious. The only frustration was the extremely slow service.

As reviewed by others this is a small, very attractive and delightful fish restaurant in the heart of Jesi which is the capital of the Verdicchio wine region. The fish dishes are beyond excellent and very, very different. The unusual combinations of fish, vegetable and condiments is a work of art. Each dish is made from scratch so there is a bit of a wait, made easy by complimentary Prosecco and great wine-by-the-glass choices. Then there is dessert :) Just fantastic.
Service is highly professional and caring. We went for lunch twice in 14 days and recommend even a long drive to experience Mare-Mare. You will not regret it.

If you like an aperitif rather than an easy going pizza or dinner with friends you can come here. If you love football come too....
Big menu with pasta, meat and pizza and....many craft beers (may be their real strenght).
Just 1 minute from the city center
