Jeju is a hot tourist spot, booming with unique attractions. Romantic sunrises and sunsets, mild climate and beautiful sandy beaches make Jeju a popular honeymoon destination. Adventurers can hike to Baeknok Lake at the top of Mount Halla, South Korea’s highest peak. Keep an eye out for the “haenyeo,” female divers gathering fresh seafood, and the iconic “grandfather statues” displayed outside of many restaurants.

We wanted something else than Korean food, so we decided to go to Bagdad Restaurant. The food is delicious (we both had lamb) and the hosts speak proper English and are really kind! Try the Indian Tea and Naan when you get there!

We, a couple, decided to have dinner at Sunny Garden after Reading the positive Trip Advisor reviews. We ordered Korean beef platter at KRW90,000, beef tartare at KRW25,000, and cold noodle at KRW7,000. The beef platter came in a large portion. Although the meat was...MoreI am so glad to hear that you enjoyed our service. I hope you had a lot of good memories from this trip in beautiful Jeju island. I had forgotten the name of the restaurant but had the street number. If I had forgotten the latter, there was only one restaurant on the street that was full. From Reading some of the reviews, I knew what to do. The chap sat me immediately, the restaurant holding no more than perhaps 20 patrons. It was funny and charming when a waitress brought me a menu in English that essentially said there was one noodle soup on the menu for 7,000 won. It was worth it, presented in a huge bowl. The noodles were very, very good. The broth was fine, sprinkled with green onions and peppers. The star of the dish was the tender chunks of pork. Sides included the typical spicy paste, more green papers and frankly some of the best kimchi of the trip. By the time I left feeling very full there were roughly 20 people waiting outside. When you can dine where there are no other foreigners around it means you have found something local and, in this case, special as well.

Donato's do NOT allow the entry of children less than 8 years respectfully. since this place is both restaurant and gallery, so even over 8 year old childrens are NOT to run indoor and to be loud. Please kindly understand.
After spending the morning at the local beach our friends told us about this amazing pizza place that apparently had "the best pizzas outside Naples" so we went to Donato's for a late lunch.
We were greeted like long lost friends and seated at a table near the open section of the restaurant. A drinks order was taken and menus offered. We ordered one pizza Andrea, one Insalata di funghi and Aranciata Ross. The drinks were served promptly and our food arrived in next to no time.
Our greeter/seater (possibly Donato himself served the main courses then offered freshly grated parmesan and explained about the location of the freshly milled black pepper and chilli flakes.
What can we say the Pizza Andrea was superb and the salad had an exquisite dressing to boot. This was just how mamma made a de pizza back in Naples
A fantastic meal and not overly expensive - 10 out of 10 for quality and service and yes we will be back before we leave Jeju.

Fusion mexican food bistro Taco / Burrito / Quesadilla Enchillada Fajata Queso Super nacho Honey lemon wing Draft / Craft /Imported beer Margaritta
Me and my friends ate dinner here one evening at Jeju. I took a burrito filled with bulgogi. It was delicious! I love the concept of the restaurant, it feels unique. They had quesadillas, burritos and tacos with various korean fillings.
The drinks were great too. Margritas with different flavours and some other drinks. The only thing to complain about was that the service was a little bit slow. One friend got her meal when we were almost done.

We made it to Myeongjin after a very windy experience at Seongsan Ilchulbong. Needing something warm & tasty, we thought an abalone porridge would do the trick. Got there at about 2pm and told to come back at 5.30pm!!! Amazed and aghast, we ended up begging & cajoling the ahjumma who manned Reservations as to whether she could move us to an earlier slot. What we somewhat understood was that there's a break time for them around 3-4pm hence we could only be served after that. We were told to have a seat in the waiting room where we could help ourselves to 3-in-1 coffee but after 15 min there, we decided to head off to do some rail biking to pass the time faster.
The menu in Myeongjin is limited to 4 or 5 mains. We ordered the famous abalone porridge, hot stone abalone rice & 10 pieces of grilled abalones. We were pleasantly surprised by the hefty grilled mackerel they threw in as a side to the hot stone rice. While the signature dish is the abalone porridge, one could say that in the end, it looked and tasted rather bland. A dull brown colour, small bits of abalone peppered the porridge and it was pretty much tasteless. The hot stone abalone rice, on the other hand, was fragrant & decked out with generous slivers of abalone. Still adding in the gochujang (red chilli paste) helped to lift the flavours a notch or two higher.
The grilled abalones were succulent without being too eraser-like in texture. We enjoyed it as it came piping hot and this being Jeju, it had to be awesomely fresh.
Overall, the meal was filling and if you have to eat abalone in Jeju, might as well partake of them in this famous store. Just be prepared for the wait!
Side note:- abalone in our opinion is best eaten grilled. The fresh from sea sashimi way of ingesting them makes for a tough meal usually coupled with gritty grains of sand.

One of the best sushi meals I've had. This is a small and cosy restaurant lined with Hinoki wood. The service from chef D.H. Lim was excellent and with a personal touch as he explained the best seasonal choices of fish from Jeju that goes into the omakase sushi meal. I particularly liked the aburi Jeju mackerel tatami, uni & otoro dish and the halibut. The end of the meal tamago was also special as it was served with yam and shrimps. The noodles sourced from a Japanese master was exceptional too.
