Green Frog has been in Jacksboro since dirt was invented. I'd never been, so I thought I'd give it a try on my way through to Amarillo for work. This place is so typical rural sweet tea Texas that it will give you cavities! There's a buffet, but I had a burger since I'd never been there. There were lots of locals & you know that restaurants can't stay in business if the locals don't support them. Don't miss it if you pass through. Next time I'll try the buffet.

I love that this location serves breakfast. It's hard to beat a sausage taquito and Blizzard as the first meal of the day. The staff was great during my visit as well! Convenient location, beside Sonic.

We have eaten at Jacoby`s about 10 times in the last 4 months and every time has been fantastic. We've had breakfast, the bacon is incredible and everything was cooked perfectly. Their hamburger steak is great, be sure you try the stuffed hamburger steak. The chicken fried steak is also awesome, but I see most people eating their hamburgers. After you have one, you'll see why. I'm told that their beef is farm raised and steroid free, not fattened up in some feed lot like the beef you buy in stores. In fact, I bought 10 pounds of hamburger from them last week when I found out you could buy fresh beef from them. I think I'll go back tomorrow and eat there again!

I've been eating Herd's Hamburgers since about 1978 and they are my favorite burger period. I've had Five Guys, Fred's, Love Shack, Whataburger, In & Out, Storm's, Jake's, Kincaid's, PaPa's Bro's, and the list goes on. Herd's stands alone as my all time favorite. It's constructed differently than any other burger I've had and just plain tastes better in my opinion.

Fantastic freshly prepared food with healthy eating options! The wide variety menu has appetizers, American, Mexican, and steaks & even seafood options!
Salads, sandwiches all homemade even down to the bread and unique flavorful salad dressings! The lunch menu & mid day menu is somewhat limited but dinner starts at 5 and full menu is a wonderful way to spend your evening in a small town! Order alcoholic beverage from the bar add a homemade dessert to finish off your meal if you would like! The atmosphere is inviting, an old fire station refurbished they includes a roll up overhead door! There is a separate bar for drinks only. The dining area has both booths and tables. A waiting area up front in case you arrive during rush hour! I think this may very well be a hot spot, so it may be possible you will actually encounter a wait in small town JACKSBORO for seating!

Did a one day road trip and stopped while passing through Jacksboro, TX. I ordered the three tamale lunch, which comes with rice, beans, chips and salsa. Let’s start with taste, BLAND the only thing that had any seasoning that I could detect was the salsa, the tamales had enough masa for six of them, very little meat. The chips were thick and tasted stale. The salsa had very little of a bit to it. The service was very good.

It's the worst one I've been to. Extremely slow even if your the only customer. Person behind counter always wipes her face while making the sandwiches. If I order pizza often there is per stuck to the bottom of it. They always act like it's very hectic even if your the only customer.

Stopped for breakfast on Sunday morning after attending a reunion on Saturday night. Was referred by friends who'd been here several times. This is a diner type restaurant with plenty of booths, tables and counter seating. Our server was pleasant and efficient. She easily answered a couple of menu questions I had, and our meals were delivered hot in a short time. The menu is diverse and several new items were posted on the wall and on a sign board when entering. One that caught my eye was chicken and dumplings. Had it not been breakfast time I would have ordered this as its a fav of mine. The location is easy on and off the highway with plenty of parking. I would definatley stop here againg if in the area.

We had awesome food at that restaurant, very great-tasting! I had pasta with Alfredo sauce. Service was very friendly and fast.
