Our concierge recommended we come here as a place where locals go. We had a great time and the food was fantastic! I was disappointed to find out they were out of the Polpo (whole octopus) after I had my heart set on it, but he Thai shrimp was very good! My wife had the lamb chops and said they were the best lamb chops she has had! Our friends ordered the linguini and clams and the giant ravioli with shrimp and they were thoroughly impressed as well. We had 2 great bottles of C.A. Ceto barberesco mexican red wine which was fantastic! Try the Ceto wine whenever you can as they make great wines and it’s great to see suck fabulous wines coming out of Mexico! We would definitely recommend anyone in Ixtapa come for a meal!

Rubens was almost a taste of home, but with enough of a twist to know you are not. The beef was surprisingly good and tasty. Burgers are topped with a pickled onion and cabbage. They were good but I still prefer lettuce, pickles and raw onion. The French fries were excellent. Satisfied my burger craving.

Great wood fired pizza and awesome sangria. They have lots of different kinds of pizza on the menu. Service is friendly and there’s a ton of room. Eat outside. It’s too hot indoors here.

Best food in Ixtapa!
What a fun find in Ixtapa. Our family (group of 15 tween to adults) ate at Chili Beans almost daily over our stay in Ixtapa. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner (on different days) and were always greeted with a smile, amazing service and consistently good quality food. Nothing fancy (except some of the cocktails), but fresh ingredients and a staff that cares about their customer.

This restaurant has excellent food and service. It has huge screen tv's for any game that you want to watch or just tv while you dine. It's also a great place to just have a drink with friends after the beach. My only complaint would be the manager there, she is very rude and mean to her employees in front of the customers. The food, servers are great and the service is A++.
Frank's is owned by a Canadian who is a HUGE Saskatchewan Roughrider Fan.He greets all of his customers like they are his best friends. There is a stone wood burning pizza oven that fresh made, thin crust pizzas are cooked in.If you are a big eater, order one for yourself.Service was just okay as the staff that we had both times didn't try to interact with us.The only downside is the fly issue. The restaurant is open air so hard to keep them down.

Dal Tuscano is our favorite Ixtapa restaurant. We spend two weeks in Ixtapa yearly and this is our " go to" place for exceptional Italian food .andreason reasonable pricesprices.
If you like fresh homemade pasta and wood fired pizza, this should be on your list. Great outdoor courtyard setting; open but still with a feeling of some privacy.
Been here probably 10 times now and never a bad meal or even average. The owners are present on site every time we have gone and will cater to any special request.
If you are trying to find it, it is the first restaurant past (north of) Ruebens Hamburgers on the walk towards the Blue Shrimp and the Casino.

We visited The Blue Shrimp on a recommendation from another couple staying at our condo complex. Two in our party had the molcajete dishes and they were okay, nothing great. Two in our party, however, had shrimp dishes which they loved. They would have liked to have licked the plate. The restaurant is located in the plaza near Reuben's Hamburgers. Service was very friendly and attentive.
