Il ristorante Ruris di Isola di Capo Rizzuto è sicuramente una delle migliori cucine che si possono gustare inCalabria. Sito a pochi chilometri da Crotone e dalla bellissima Area Marina Capo Rizzuto, Ruris è un ristorante elegante in cui poter gustare piatti raffinati di pesce e abbinamenti ricercati per veri gourmet. Grandi materie prime locali, pesce fresco e ortaggi biologici coltivati in proprio, sono gli ingredienti che, tra le mani dello chef Natale Pallone, si trasformano in ricette di grande appeal. Grazie alle eleganti sale arredate con gusto e al verde circostante, il ristorante Ruris è adatto anche per l’organizzazione di banchetti aziendali e matrimoni.
Really different, compared to the other restaurants in the surroundings. Very elegant and formal ambience, few tables, quiet. A bit less traditional in the menu, great dishes with attention to the quality of the ingredients. Could be a 5, but somehow I found it a bit "cold".

It's all about meat in this place. That's the reason we went there, looking for something different after some days in this area. Good variety of cuts and generous dishes, prepared in a proper way. Unfortunately not supported by the most important thing: meat quality.

We have been in this restaurant from a friend suggestion, while we were going for a trip to Le Castella, sea beach nearby few kilometers.
LOGISTIC: restaurant is at the end of the village Isola di Capo Rizzuto and road indications to reach it are well visible. Parking area is quiet big. Inside there are tables for let's say 250 persons but the plus is to get table on sea view: the sea Panorama is wonderful. Air condition is present (a bit too cold) and also chairs for kids.
SERVICE: owner and waiters are pleasant and present in the hall. Food chosen was suggested by owner, which he provided us suggestions on which fish was present in the kitchen that day and preferences on how to cook/serve it.
FOOD: we choose to go for fish meal. as starters we choose some "various fish starters" and they were great: octopus salad with potatoes, cod fish filet marinata and in the owen, anchovies marinated, mussels. Startes were cooked weel and quantity were really really plenty.
As starters we had rice with seafood and spaghetti with clams: we were thinking to get just a sample but instead we got full dish. Geat. Ingredients were fresh, cooking time was great, really good taste.
Everything was served with water (of course) and rosè wine (home made): nice.
To end lunch, sorbet and coffee were served.
For what we eat, price was really really cheap (around 22€ each person). Restaurant strongly suggested.

My husband and I stopped by this restaurant attracted by good reviews on trip advisor. The place is nice and clean, very traditional and warm. However, there is something that I hate when you go to these kind of places: there is no menu with prices since the excuse is "we tell you what we can offer on the basis of daily catch". Ok, this is good, but at least put a sign saying "appetizers range from-to, pasta from-to etc..."...then you can have a clue. If it wasn't for this, i would rate the restaurant 5 * for the quality of food. Maybe 4* considering the small portions. We paid 26 € each for appetizer (selected by owner), tuna and grilled squid (just 1 squid!!!! and a very small piece of tune for two people) and a lemon sorbet. No wine at all. In our opinion the price is set on the basis of guests' looking.
Io e mio marito ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante grazie alle buone recensioni di trip advisor. Il posto è molto carino e pulito, tradizionale e accogliente. Tuttavia, se c'è una cosa che odio quando vado in questi ristoranti a conduzione familiare è che non propongono un menu scritto con in prezzi in chiaro, poichè a scusa più ricorrente è "il menu ve lo diciamo noi in base al pescato del giorno. Ok, vada per il pesce fresco, ma almeno dare una indicazione sul range di prezzi degli antipasti, o dei primi etc, almeno ti fai un'idea di quello che puoi prendere.Se non fosse stato per questo avrei dato 5 stelle al ristorante per a qualità del cibo, forse 4 considerando la scarsità delle porzioni.Abbiamo pagato 26 € a persona per due antipasti (selezionati dal proprietario), una fetta di tonno grigliato e una seppia grigliata (una!!!) e 2 semifreddi al limone. Non abbiamo preso vino. Secondo noi il prezzo è deciso all'istante in base all'apparenza degli ospiti!

I recently went on a trip through Southern Italy to celebrate an engagement. We came across this restaurant in our travels, and it was one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been too. The seafood pasta was amazing, as was the octopus salad, and an octopus & potato stew. Kind, friendly staff that treat you like family and great food. Excellent value too, especially when compared to what a comparable meal in America or New York would cost.

Hot and crowded on a tiny island with thousands of tourists. What we needed was a good gelato. Fortunately that's what we got here. Home made was their claim and home made was the taste. Very enjoyable Recommended

Location suggestiva con vista sulla darsena del paese. Aperitivo saporito ma non ricco, per intenderci non è un apericena, anche se con l'aggiunta di 3 euro a singola portata è possibile riordinare le portate fino a riempirsi completamente. Nota di merito a mio avviso va soprattutto ai cocktail, davvero ottimi! Un perfetto connubio di cibo e "liquidi" che non vi lascia che una sola scelta... Andarci assolutamente!

Ci siamo recati più volte in questo ristorante durante la nostra vacanza a Isola di Capo Rizzuto. Abbiamo mangiato la pasta, il pesce e la pizza. Quest'ultima assolutamente ottima e insuperabile. Un plauso va anche ai "camerieri" assolutamente educati, ospitali e professionali e al padrone di casa che coccola i suoi ospiti offrendo un ottimo amaro fatto personalmente da lui..Ottimo il rapporto qualità/presso. Lo consigliamo
