Isla Mujeres offers a wide variety of tempting options for beach lovers, and is a relative bargain. Snorkel with tropical fish amid coral reefs, skim the blue waters by kayak or boat, or windsurf along the shores of soft, sandy beaches. On land, you can sunbathe, dine on seafood, dance to Latin rhythms, tour on a moped or belly up to the bar for fresh, delicious drinks.

This restaurant was recommended for special dinner and the reviews on Trip Advisor had me convinced this would be awesome but we were disappointed. We had the Turkish appetizer, chicken with olives and moussaka- all okay but nothing outstanding. I’m certain I have made something just as good as the chicken and olives in my slow cooker and the moussaka was dry. Service was extremely rushed!!! I did remind myself that we were were in Mexico, and at home we have access to numerous Middle Eastern restaurants. So I will summarize by saying, that if you are looking for something different- this is an okay alternative.

Worth the stop. We had breakfast included in our rental but got tired of the same thing. So decided we would look up who was recommended and found this place. Breakfast for three was about 20 bucks. Real reasonable and the food had great flavor. Nothing lacking that is for sure. Even brought back half my stuffed pepper.

....we keep returning to Isla Mujeres is to come back and enjoy an evening at Lolo Lorena's!!! Our last visit did not disappoint...Lolo created some amazing one-of-a-kind dishes for our meal. Every course was lovingly and artistically prepared and was delicious!!
Of course, half the fun of dinner at Lolo's is Lolo herself! What a charming woman with such a wonderful spirit! Can't wait to visit again soon!!

Choose a table in the comfortable and trendy indoor area, or sit at one of the outdoor tables on Avenida Hidalgo for some people-watching during your Isla Mujeres breakfast. In addition to classic coffee drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, Rooster Café also has a gourmet tea menu (hot, iced, or frappe). Their breakfast menu includes a variety of deliciously salty and sweet options, like the Caribbean-style eggs benedict with baby lobster tail or the Montecristo waffle Sandwich.

Pita Amore - A unique fusion of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine, prepared with love, on a family-secret pita bread. Chino, vegetarian, chicken and beef and beef with egg ommelet. Nicely basted with a pesto, grilled to perfection on a plancha. Topped of with the secrets of our French Culinary Institute of New York Graduate Chef Ricardo. This food is addictive - a single visit just doesn't cut it. Unbelievable to find this quality of food in Isla Mujeres near Cancun Quintana Roo Mexico.
We went here on a lonely planet recommendation, that said it was set up by a New York Culinary Institute alumni and the pita was imported from a Lebanese bakery every day. From this I was expecting outstanding middle eastern food, which it was not. It was however tasty, fresh fusion food in large portions, in a small chilled out bar. This place is good but not outstanding.

The Best Quesadillas in the
No trip to Isla is complete without a meal at Basto's. By far the best arracherra and best enchilada suizas that we have found on the island. Service is always prompt and friendly and the prices can't be beat.

We stayed at Elements on the Island from December 22 - January 1. The staff (Magig) is friendly and helpful. The room is open with plenty of space. Included is a refrigerator, sink, water jug, flat screen Television, air conditioning, toaster, microwave, hangers, bench, and small table. The bathroom has a tiled sink and large shower. The water pressure is decent. I prefer stronger water pressure, but am used to it in Mexico. The mattress is firm and the sheets, especially on the 1st night were fantastic. They were soft and smooth. They definitely had a high thread count! Nice soft bathroom towels and for the beach. The only problem I might have is staying there in the summer due to the air conditioning. We like a cold room and I don't know how the cool the room would get during the summer.
I need to talk about breakfast. You get a 10% discount for eating at the restaurant in the morning. I believe they have the best and largest omelettes on the island. Our breakfasts for 2 was always around 200 pesos. I always read about the good breakfasts, but never thought they would be this good! I am a pretty picky eater.
You are given keys for the front gate and your room. It is not difficult using the keys late at night. The place is in a great location. We went to Mayan Beach Club every morning.

Enjoy fine dining at Limón in an intimate atmosphere in our beautiful courtyard or elegant interior dining room. Open for breakfast Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and dinner 4pm-10pm. Reservations required for dinner only.
The Limon menu is expansive, there is something for everyone. We were seated in the courtyard area & quickly greeted by Alan. With so many options it was difficult to choose. We opted for the tempura vegetables as our appetizer~wow! Every veggie was bursting with flavour & they were oh so crisp! The veggies were followed by an Arrachera steak which was served with mashed potato & bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño peppers~fantastic. The saffron infused gnocchi was good but beyond filling~unfortunately no room for dessert. Service was good & Sergio was a delight to speak to! A very pleasant dinner & evening! Gracias y nos vemos pronto!

We have visited this restaurant many times over the last few years and we thought it was gone tonight because they moved across the street. We love everything about this place. The food is amazing. The beans and potatoes as well as fresh pico you can add to any part of your meals make this place so unique. The quaintness is so charming. The owners are so incredibly nice and welcoming. Don’t miss this place!!
