The largest of the Galapagos Islands, Isabela is one of the most volcanically active places in the world. Whether this is thrilling or terrifying is up to you. It doesn’t seem to bother the iguanas and penguins of Las Tintoreras, a nearby island cluster and popular snorkeling site. Walk from Puerto Villamil through mangrove forests and saltwater lagoons to reach the Tortoise Breeding Center. Isabela was once used as an exile for prisoners, who built the devastating Wall of Tears as part of their punishment.

Great little spot here to have a drink and chill out on the beach. Beto the owner does a good pour in the cocktails and you can pay by card!! We sat and watched the iguanas, birds and the sea... Bliss!

Sea Food, Vegetarian Food, Traditional Food, Gourmet Food...
Most likely the guy tending bar or filling your drinks is the owner. His girlfriend is the chef. She's outstanding. My husband swears the tuna was the best he's had in his life. A giant tuna steak cooked to perfection (most chefs in the Islands cook the tuna to death...she cooked it perfectly).
We were lucky enough to be there on New Years. The food was outstanding.
Not to be missed!

This restaurant is on a side road almost opposite the church. Limited menu but well done. Very friendly staff, will to help out with touristy questions. Reasonably priced (compared to the other islands).
Wifi was good so a nice chance to catch up on emails and news.
It was almost deserted on the couple of times I went.

Like a lot of places in the Islands, La Fogota features a lunch special … for $8 you get a large bowl of soup (cream-based the day we visited … served with fresh popcorn), choice of grilled chicken or fish, juice, and dessert (jello). Pleasant, open facility lets you catch an available cooling breeze.

This is one of the eateries along the main street in Puerto Villamil that offer a set price menu which consists of soup, main dish, and desert. The set price menus are usually pretty cheap, from $7-$10, depending on the restaurant and offer an excellent value for the price.

The Los Delfines Restaurant & Pizzeria focuses on meeting customer needs and providing excellent service and an extensive range of dishes with a good taste and effectiveness, based on experience and national recognition of our chefs, We also have excellent facilities and a working team with great knowledge and a high sense of respect for your convenience and service.
While visiting the Galapagos I spent three and a half days on Isabela, and on my first day I decided to have lunch at Los Delfines restaurant. The Main Street on Isabela is pretty small and there is a limited number of places to eat in town. I liked the menu at this place so I thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered the vegetarian calzone hoping it would be good and WOW! First of all it was huge! When it showed up I was like NO WAY! Then I cut it open and took the first bite and I was done for! It was hot and flavorful and delicious! In fact I'm embarrassed to admit it but I had a calzone there every day that I was on the island. I also had a cheese and veggie Pizza one day too and that was delicious as well. Los Delfines is a local place and it looks unassuming and low key, but I will say it was the best food I had on Isabela and my average bill was $15.00 to $20.00 bucks which is cheap for that island. It's a very laid back place and if you order pizza or calzones there it takes so time for it to come out, so relax, kick back, drink a Real Coke in a glass bottle with real sugar and wait for your delicious food to come to your table. They have a wide menu with diverse selections and they cater to vegetarians like me! So if you are a vegetation this is your place. The staff is friendly and kind and the location is very close to a few tour offices, bike rentals, snorkeling rental places, and it's a short walk to a beautiful beach from there. Los Delfines is right in the middle of the main street in town so you can't miss it. If you are visiting Isla Isabela definitely stop in for a good meal there.

The best place in Isabela galapagos
Came here for lunch. One side of restaurant had all the windows closed so there was no cross breeze - felt like in a greenhouse and it distracted from meal experience. Ceviche appetizer was okay, fish to overdone for my liking. Grilled fish entrée was fresh and tasty.

Cool place, good food. But I have called a few times when there are specific sport events to find out that they will not be showing them nor did they have any idea of it all.

Open air restaurant with ocean view. Note: we're across the street from the Casa Rosada on the road to the tortoise breeding center near the Iguana Crossing.
Great views from the first floor bar, with excellent cocktails. Happy Hour gives the opportunity for 2 cocktails for $10 mix and match. Nice staff, interesting opportunity to talk to the lady owner who pays attention to her guests. Dined after at the ground floor restaurant where we all selected different dishes - all well presented and tasted great. No wonder this is the number one restaurant - justifiably so!

Oh My God...it is amazing! The equation is perfect fresh seafood + grill = food nirvana. We spilt the mixed grill between three of us and couldn't finish. I loved the open grill and the smoke just add to the atmosphere. Go about 6:30 or 7:00 to beat the dinner rush.
