Lots of free parking, warm welcome, Kind hostess, comfortable tables....and then the food, and more food and much more food.
Anything and everything you will ever want, from salmon to roast beef, form Japanese Sushi to anything Chinese, western salad bar, international Deserts you name it they have it. Roast beef dry and tough but you know that beforehand.
Clean washrooms, accessible, and 4 persons for a hundred bucks....who can beat that!!

Recently were at Davidson's for dinner. Service was excellent. They have a very good menu. Selection is exceptional. They have nightly specials for dinner. I had the 10 oz prime rib with Yorkshire pudding. Meal was cooked to perfection. The gravy is excellent here. Yorkshire pudding was also excellent. They have a minimal selection of draft beer. Prices are fine dining. Restaurant has an excellent atmosphere. Reservations are recommended, restaurant is smaller has Seating for 60 people.

We spent a FABULOUS evening at Painter's Hall enjoying the delicious food and outstanding service! Our server Wagner made the perfect meal and wine pairing suggestions! He was always on top of the need for an additional glass while allowing us the private time we wanted to spend together. Always there when we needed him, superbly helpful, pleasant, charming and professional...but not too there when we were conversing. The food was also outstanding! I had the salmon and it was melt in your mouth perfect. We began with a delicious soup and I finished with the chocolate cake. I must confess, I was more than satisfied as the meal serving size was more than ample, but that chocolate cake was not to be missed and did not disappoint!!!! So mouthwateringly delicious! A perfect end to a perfect meal...we picked the ideal place to start Barrielicious!!!!! The price was very reasonable for this exquisite meal with outstanding service. I'm even thinking I might need to cancel one of the other Barrielicious bookings I have and come back here again it was so good! I think it will be difficult for anywhere else to measure up to this. I highly recommend this restaurant. What a delightful evening!!!! My favourite things...the food and the service.

My son and I stopped in here while in Barrie for a ski vacation. Excellent service and top notch pizza. The worst thing about this restaurant is trying to decide which pie to order.
Pizzas come out quick too because of the insanely hot brick oven. One pizza is perfect for two adults.
Great spot!

I'll admit it... I have a restaurant background and can be a little finicky when it comes to service, atmosphere and, of course, the food.
It is rare that I frequent a restaurant that I have to sit back and think about what could have been done differently or leave a comment on something that the server did, or did not, do.
It has been a few days now and our meal at The Urban Dish is still being discussed. Our server (Cathy) nailed service. Professional, friendly and attentive... How could I ask for more.
As for our meal... my mouth still waters to this day. Our beef tenderloins were cooked to perfection. Paired with the grilled oyster/shiitake mushrooms and then laid out on a bed of creamy rosemary polenta. How could you go wrong?
Bravo to the entire team.

Dropped in for lunch while in town for a business meeting. Wanted a "local" place rather than one of the ubiquitous chain outlets and this place clearly fit the bill.
At least a dozen Ontario craft brews were on tap and the Saison that I chose was fresh, tasty and perfectly chilled. Had the daily special of "Braised Beef Sliders" - fantastic! Properly braised beef on a fresh roll with avocado, pickled onions and a mayo based dressing - surprisingly light while thoroughly satisfying and accompanied by hot, fresh cut fries.
Service was friendly, welcoming and professional. Looking forward to a return visit!

Hot Stacks has become our go to place for brunch on our way to Algonquin Park.
The menu is extensive- SO much choice especially in the breakfast items! Food is well prepared and portions are huge! My favourite is Eggs Benedict with THREE eggs and thick slices of peameal on English muffins topped with creamy Hollandaise and melted cheese. It is served with home fries and a fresh fruit cup. Our other entree was a Reuben with piles of pastrami,sauerkraut and Swiss cheese stuffed between slices of marble rye and served with a side salad.
Even when it’s busy, service is great - LOTS of coffee which is appreciated if there is a bit of a wait.
As on previous visits, cleanliness continues to be an issue and prevents an excellent rating! The condition of the washroom is simply unpleasant!

I like the new efforts to invite diners to sit and eat. Very nice. Usually get take out there. Love their Young Chow Fried rice 7 Egg Foo Young. Tasty Food with a smile!! they've been around a while.The new Islands have made it slightly more difficult to get to, but it hasn't stopped plenty of loyal customers from ordering.
