We were VERY fortunate to come here. A good friend of mine is from Iga and she took us there and her parents were generous enough to treat us to this restaurant. It was pricey. For five people, it cost 38,200 yen, and I was inclined to offer them my firstborn child in return.
We are full blown Westerners and this was such a unique and special experience for us. When you walk in, you take off your shoes and put on their slippers. They walk you to your personal tatami room where you leave the slippers at the door. Then your own personal chef comes in and cooks your meal for you! It was amazing!!
After eating fish for a week, I can't tell you how delicious the sukiyaki was! Everything there was from Iga from the decadent marbled beef to the plump mushrooms and fresh cabbage. We dipped it in raw egg which added a level of flavor I didn't expect.
It was such a superb dining experience and one that I wasn't quite worthy to have. If you are going to Iga, try to budget for this restaurant. You won't regret it!

This spot serves local farm to table style buffet. I have to say this has to be one of the best buffet lunches I had in a long long while. Selection includes Japanese and western style of savory dishes. Thinly sliced ham, local made sausages and wursts are great with beer from moku moku brewery! Pizza, 4 style of pasta, veggie soup and tasty Deserts are available for you to try and then feast.hot/cold coffee and tea and water are free, along with a choice variety of light desert are included in a affordable price. We came here during the week, thus did not have to struggle with the crowd during a hot summer day. I would recommend the same for your visit.

I am a chef with nearly 30 years experience, have my own successful restaurant in Australia and have a Beautiful Japanese wife who loves food, lucky for me!
My father in law took us on an outing from their home town, Tsu shi, i said i wanted to try local beef, boy, what a surprise!
we drove for about an hour to Iga and the little restaurant ITO.
we had to wait about 20 minutes cause the place was packed. There was 8 of us, 2 were children, and it was no problem to accommodate us.
The service is very friendly and prompt. English is not spoken, but i didn't expect it to be.
the menu had a lot of different types of food i could see on other tables, but we were there for the beef! There are different grades of beef on the menu, i chose the top grade and i thoroughly recommend you do too.
Probably one of, if not the, best steak I've ever had. Like butter in the mouth, beautiful flavor.
This was our second trip to ITO, the first a few years ago and I had to return to have another of these magnificent steaks. I know i'll be there again!

今回は、復刻版ワンプレートランチ、を注文しました。メインは、ビーフシチューと、ポークカツレツでした。ビーフシチューは適度な柔らかさで、ソースとの相性も抜群でおいしかったです。お店の雰囲気も悪くありませんが、テーブルの間隔は、やや狭目だと感じました。

セット日帰り旅行の昼食なので、このメニュー単独の価格は不詳です。総額が解っていて、入場料とか、貸切バス代とか考慮するとそれほど大金を昼食に割いているとは思えない。それにしても超豪華、超美味しい、超満腹。今まで外食した約500軒のレストラン、料亭の中でも最上位の部類でしょうね。それとも普通なのに私の肉大好き嗜好がそのように感じさせるのか・・・伊賀肉って・・・最高ですねぇ。メンバーの一人がお店の人にこのメニューならおいくらですか?と極めてナンセンスで無粋な質問をされていたが・・セット旅行の場合は旅行社もお店も本当の価格なんて絶対に云わないのが常識。かなり割引してもらっていることは想像できる。お店の人の如才ない返答「このコースだけの特別料理なので・・・後日、来て戴いても同内容のメニューでは提供出来ません」、100点の回答ですねぇ。聞いてはいけないことに対して、この回答、手慣れた客扱いですねぇ、御見事、感心しました。

伊賀市の老舗精肉店が経営する焼肉店「もりつぢ」の別店です。煉瓦造りの大きな建物で、本店と同じコースメニューもありますが、セットメニューや宴会メニューもありって、本店よりも気軽に利用できるようです。焼肉で単品を各種オーダーしている客も多かったですね。店内は広く、各テーブルはパーティションで区切られているので、周囲を気にする必要がないのもいいですね。

Enjoy fresh, handmade thin noodles in a soup made with seasonal vegetables. A wide variety of specialty items also available.
A really nice udon place that had a bunch of different styles and flavors that what you wouldn't normally find. I really appreciated finding someplace that did it differently. The staff was super friendly and came to converse with me multiple times. It is a busy place so be sure to get there before lunch or dinner times.

This restaurant is located in the middle of an old Ninja town. They serve traditional and healthy Japanese meals known as "one soup three sides". There are more than 30 types of side dishes to choose from, served with mushroom and yuba miso soup and selection of locally grown red bean glutinous rice or white rice.
This is a self serviced restaurant, customers first grab their utensils, and select their side dishes, then they can proceed to the cashier and order their choice of rice.
The side dishes are priced by weight, you can fill your stomach fill for under 800 yen, very reasonable.
