Visited for Sunday lunch today whilst staying at Wiverton Hall Cottages. Superb lunch. Roast beef was awsome & came with 4 veg, lovely roast tatties and a huge batter. Starters and puddings were equally impressive. Dog friendly and very relaxed.
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and added to the experience.
Hope to return & will definately recommended

Having gone away for the weekend we wanted something special. We weren't disappointed at all. The food and service is exceptional and deserved of all the praise and awards it comes with. Not to be missed.

Delicious, reasonably priced food, stunning building, breathtaking views out over the marshes to the sea with fabulous bird watching even from your table. Fantastic for families.
I really do hate to criticize particularly an organisation which is doing great work in protecting our wildlife. But come on, please get more organised in your cafe.
Delightful cakes on a long counter then the service area tucked in a tight corner fit for one person on a mega busy Sunday morning. And twenty five minute wait for a bacon butty? Really?
I felt like jumping over the counter to help out.

Breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas. Now open for Sunday lunch!!
Lovely clean and contemporary restaurant in this market town. Recently taken over by new management, refurbished and run by William, the place is very efficiently run and has plenty of space for customers with additional Seating on the first floor.
Great selection of food to choose from and in particular, William's pea soup and granary bread was to die for!
The staff work hard and service is very good. Note that the restaurant has been renamed "Williams@28"

A kaleidoscope of different colours characterise the interior of Wiveton Hall Cafe on the North Norfolk coast. We endeavour to source as many ingredients directly from the farm as we can. Local suppliers are championed by our head chef, and provide the cafe with quality fresh bread, cheeses, meat and seafood. Our evenings are given over to Wood Fired Pizza's in the week and Tapas on the weekend.
Wiveton cafe is a great place to stop for an hour , their coffee is excellent. Good place to stretch your legs with your dog , great views across the Marsh. The food is good, however, for a "cafe" is a restaurant / pub price. This is fine as it is a great location, however, be aware of the pricing.

Having been to Holt on several occasions we have never been to the Feathers Hotel for a drink or a meal, but on this occasion with friends after our walk in Holt Park we booked for Sunday lunch, we were greeted with a friendly smile from a member of the staff who are cheerful and polite, the restaurant was very busy, spacious, bright and the tables being well spaced out, we all had the carvery and I have to say we were very impressed, the quality of the food was excellent, hot, and the gravey was just as it should be.
I would highly recommended and will return when in the area.

The restaurant You can eat under the ceiling of the massive eighteenth-century oak barn or, if it's warm, amongst the flowers in our garden, a place of serenity and calm that's good for the soul. The Butchery All of the Angus-sired beef, lamb, chicken, geese and turkeys on the butcher's counter have been raised organically at our farm. The rare breed, outdoor reared pork is sourced locally. The Deli You will find many of the best British artisan cheeses, organic salami and a choice of food from our kitchen. The Shop We have a zest for sourcing producers who reflect our own ideals, for whom quality and provenance count. The wine is selected in conjunction with Fields, Morris and Verdin, the wholesale distributors for Berry Bros and Rudd.
We are regulars at Back to the Garden and always enjoy popping in for brunch when ever we are visiting Holt! Our favourite brunch being black ( yes black) bacon with free range egg...the black bacon being treackled treated bacon which is just Delicous! But!...MoreFreddy, Thank you for your feedback, couldn't agree more, I will need investigate further. If you have description it would help [email protected]

Art Cafe is North Norfolk's only vegetarian restaurant, cafe and art gallery nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the glorious Glaven Valley. Situated 2 miles from the bustling market town of Holt and the coast at Blakeney, Glandford is a fantastic hamlet with miles of picturesque walks in fabulous countryside.Serving exceptional coffee, loose leaf teas and vegetarian made from locally sourced ingredients. Our indulgent cakes and scones are already renowned and we always have a great selection of gluten and dairy free options. Art Cafe also has a wonderful selection of paintings, ceramics and textiles from 24 local artists and makers giving the space a light and airy, bright and colourful feeling. With a sunny courtyard and garden for the summer months and a wood burning stove for cosy winter days, Art Cafe is a great, all-year-round location.
Since im from a large vegan/vegetarian family, thorght we would try this cafe as it sounded promising for our needs and is local! The place its self was lovley and as expected, the menu was all veggoe friendly.
Excellent!
But.....
It seems like the staff have not been trained to wipe down tables as everytable was dirty (there was only a couple of tables with customers on so not busy) none of them seemed to know what was going on or have any knowledge of the menu, the guy who brought the food didnt know what he was bringing, when asked it was a 'ermm i dont know' (if it was butternut squash or mushroom soup)
We had to send our pots of tea back as it was so strong it left a horrible taste in your mouth.
So yea, potentially could be a great place, unfortunately wont be making a special effort return, a real shame as the extensive family really struggle to find a veggie place without having to go into Norwich.

Been here twice in a row, which is recommendation enough. First night butterbean hummus plus fried whiting n chips and fish pie (best I’ve ever had said the lovely Angela). Second night large sharing platter of Italian bread, hummus, mozzarella and tomatoes, warm olives and garlic & salad, then steak and pork belly with lovely stuffing. No room for Deserts but they look goooood.

Freehouse pub serving modern British food.
In an area which is not short of very good country pubs, this one takes some beating. Over the last few years it has closed a couple of times and I have always been wary about visiting. Not anymore! We booked a table for three...MoreThanks so much for your review, and hopefully we'll see you again sometime!
