Cold New Hampshire Day so we decided to go out to Lunch.
Common Man did not disappoint. At the suggestion of our waitress we both had a hot spiced Cider! Really warmed the bones! We both ordered the Broccoli & Cheddar Quiche of the Day, it was wonderful, moist, creamy, nice Cheddar Flavor and just the right amount of Broccoli. We selected the Caesar Salad to go with it, nice fresh Romaine lettuce, nicely dressed with just the right amount of Caesar dressing and topped with shredded Parm. Cheese. Our waitress Michael was a delight, friendly but efficient. Great place to stop for Lunch if your heading down the highway. They serve lunch from 11:30 to 4:00. Nice menu selections, prices reasonable for such a nice place.

This higher end eatery, is definitely the place to get a great meal in Plymouth. Having enjoyed lunch on two previous visits, I was eager to sample their dinner menus. We were not disappointed. Imaginative cocktails warmed our first minutes on this cold evening. For starters the poached oysters were excellent. Our entrees of NY Trip and Pan Seared Duck were accompanied by mashed potatoes and rice respectively, with ample root vegetables. Both were perfectly prepared, presented, and consumed with pleasure. For dessert we shared the Grand Marnier Chocolate Mousse and proclaimed the meal a perfect experience.
I’d recommend reserving a table. We were lucky, arriving a few a few minutes after opening (5pm) and were seated at the last available table.
A bit more refined than most college town establishments, the visit is well worth it.

The red flannel hash was home made and just like Mama used to make. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were just right. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and courteous. We had no complaints, would go back when in the area.

We ate at Walter's Basin after taking the Experience Squam boat tour of Squam Lake. We had a table overlooking the lake so the view was great. The food was delicious and the atmosphere warm and cozy. Three of us had the seafood saute which was absolutely delicious. My husband had Elk meatloaf which also was very good. As with everywhere else we ate while in this area I thought the prices were a little high but we would eat here again.

This ice cream place is on the grounds of the Common Man Inn in Plymouth NH.
The gals that run this establishment are top notch. Thank you for all you do for the community of Plymouth. Being well loved by the students on the hill is a big reward for your hard work. My daughter loves your establishment. As do I. A return visit? You bet!

I stopped here to grab coffee before traveling north. Reasonable priced. Good service. Coffee was so strong I couldn't drink it. If you like Star bucks you will like this.

Typical fast food and coffee. The coffeee is always good byt today I decided to try some kind of flavored drink. While I was trying to make up my mind some guy came up behind me and yelled at the server to get waited on. So I stepped aside to allow him to get his order because he seemed in a hurry. But the server said that she had to finish my order first. I finally decided what type of coffee I wanted and then ordered some munchkins. The guy behind me exploded and stomped out yelling to himself. I sort of felt bad but my server said it was ok and not my fault. She was very nice. When I went outside this guy was still in his car fuming. By the way, the coffee was some kind of French Vanilla as I asked her to choose for me. And it was good.

The Italian Farmhouse in Plymouth, N.H. is a proud member of the Common Man family, and serves delicious Italian food in a quaint farmhouse with spectacular views of 42 acres of surrounding land. Specializing in American-Italian fare, start off your meal with a selection from our antipasti menu, such as Fresh Mussels or Fried Calamari. Try our Antipasto or Verde Salad in between courses, and then delve into one of our hearty main dishes, like Farmhouse Scampi or Cioppino.
The menu is mostly Italian, but there are choices for other regions as well as for vegetarians. Food is well prepared and waitstaff effectively attentive. Garlic bread is available for helping your self along with several choices of dips. Chocolate covered espresso beans are the substitute for the white chocolate at the Common Man.

We visit the Village Pizza Grill each time we visit the Glynn House Inn in Ashland and we are never disappointed (either in the Pizza or the Inn!!!) We don't know what makes it so special but ehe pizzas are GREAT! We always buy LARGE so that we can take some home for the next day. (It's just as good the next day, if not better!!!)

The restaurant in Swam Lake Inn. Really a find out. Superb menu. Appetizers, salads, sandwiches, main courses with meat or fish. Complete in the offer, excellent in the cooking. Wide wine's menu, basically with American wines and no European ones. Desserts also remarkable. Definitely a restaurant to visit when in the Meredith areas.
