For ice cream in Holden Beach (or Brunswick County for that matter) go no further than Beaches N Cream. It's all homemade and Amanda, who runs the place, says she's got upwards of 90-odd recipes, including Cadbury Egg at Easter. You'll get the old stand-bys, chocolate, coffee, etc., but also Red Velvet Cake, Beach Sand and whatever other whim she might be in the mood to concoct. The menu changes daily so each visit is a surprise, and her ice cream is creamy beyond belief. Go. You'll like it.

Archibald's Deli is opened for lunch Monday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. off season; In season, breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All soups, salads, subs, sandwiches, pies and muffins are made fresh from the highest quality, wholesome ingredients available. We enjoy getting to know and serve our guests, as time permits.
I usually get the quiche with fresh fruit and a bran muffin. Very filling. New owner has kept old staff and everybody seems to get along well with each other. Good food and great atmosphere!

This was a really cool casual evening. Hot fresh food was served quickly (order at the counter), sit above the inlet waterway on a screened porch with a nice breeze, and watch the sunset. The crab cake could have been a little larger, but it was tasty. Good steamed shrimp, fries, grouper. An authentic local experience, and part of the fun is deciphering all of the custom license plates on the walls. This is an annual visit for us and we always look foward to it.

Excellent summer desserts of flavorful Italian ice that are definitely a yep above snow cones. Most flavors very sweet (syrupy); small size plenty and around $3. Cute building with corn hole games and benches outside. Convenient to Holden Beach bridge and Pavilion. Pretty spot to enjoy at sunset--eat your slush near the Intercoastal Waterway. Could walk here for dessert after eating at Mermaid's Cafe.

Convenient stop for iced coffee, coffee, fruit smoothies very near base of Holden Beach bridge, island side. Adjoins Beach Fun Rentals (bikes, etc.). Easy walk from low-numbered houses, Holden Beach Chapel. Friendly, quick service with some indoor and outdoor seating. Parking available. We became "regulars" in two days.

For and service are very good, but to me, I think they are pretty pricey. Menu includes pastas, pizzas and calzones.

There are very few restaurants in Holden Beach, NC, and this one is really great. We wished we had known about it before our trip to the beach last week, and it would be really helpful for travelers to know about this place.
Before concluding our family gathering on the ocean at Holden Beach, NC, we all decided to have take-out pizza. Patronizes has been in business since the early 1900's in one location or another. Their current location in reasonably located near the beach. They are a nicely appointed establishment which caters to families and other visitors to this area of North Carolina. They offer everything Italian. Parking is tight.

I make weekly visits to Cappuccino by the Sea. I love to browse thru Nancy's gift shop....she has a great selection to choose from....I could buy everyone on my Christmas or Birthday list a gift from here. This shop is just so warm and cozy ! I just love Nancy and Cappuccino by the Sea ! Be sure and stop by for a cup of coffee and a freshly made cookie or muffin !
