We finally used a Christmas Gift card with our friends, what a special evening. Waiter explained the menu, how ordering tapas works, made some suggestions based on our preferences, away we went. Plates were brought out in a steady stream, but spaced perfectly so we always had enough to eat and sample, yet not overwhelmed with plates on the table for the four of us.
The Fig and Prosciutto Pizza special was the perfect blend of sweet and salty, crust was perfect. Grilled wedge salad (and i never compliment salads!), was exceptional. The sliders, the spicy edamame. And then desserts, just a great evening.
Atmosphere was great, noise level is subdued, just enough to sound "busy", but never overwhelming. Waitstaff was attentive, always there right before we expected them. The owner (Youssef) came by to make sure our evening was going well.
we will be back (oh yeah, the wine by the glass was a generous pour as well).

New restaurant, opened last month. Serves "eclectic" sandwich (and salad) menu items and craft beer from microbreweries.
The sandwiches are great.
The seating is ok. Great for take out. The service is very good. The pricing is appropriate for the quality of the food. It is a downtown place where the staff works hard to make sandwiches well and quick. Good selection of canned and bottled beers.

Samll aurhentic Japanese restaurant with about six tables. The husband cooks and the wife serves. I have seldom had this fine Japanese cuisine in the U.S. or anyplace outside of Japan. Our ladies had bento boxes that they said were delicious. Our sashimi was excellant and my tonkatsu was very authentic. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.

In an area surrounded by national chain restaurants, the Olde Hickory Tap room has a warm, authentic, local pub feel. It is definitely the kind of place you could spend the day watching basketball and drinking with friends. They are located in a charming blue-collar downtown square and parking can be tight when the weather is nice. The strip mall-esque exterior does not communicate the feel of the interior very well, so do not let that sway you. The service is fast and friendly and the menu has all of the casual pub favorites with a few local twists. Try the buffalo oysters or a burger but avoid the things that are typically not made in house (mozzarella sticks, fries, etc). Give it a try for good quality American style pub food with a local flair at a very good price.

I have been going here for the last 15 years and it has gone down hill steadily in the past four years. The service experience is abrupt and the food is okay. It is not worth the hassle of the parking and wait based on past good reviews. Too many other places to choidce from would not waste the time with this location anymore.

I love the atmosphere and typically choose the same thing each time I go. I love the Fire and Smoke Burger and crave their Brussels Sprouts. I would never touch them before my sweet daughter-in-law, a picky eater, encouraged me to try them. Old Hickory Station made us both believers in the magic of the sprout! I also enjoy brunch and always choose their Egg Benedict with a side of yogurt and granola topped fruit. One of the special things is they choose locally sourced products as often as possible, getting seasonal vegetables from the Farmers Market right outside their door from April to November. If I am not mistaken, they have grown their own herbs along side of building near the corn hole game. Their dessert selection is great but pretty close to cruel temptation as you must walk by it to get to any table. The cakes are HUGE. Our personal favorite is the coconut cake, but they have amazing Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, and tirimusu. Another favorite for those just wanting a small bite is the cake balls. Beautiful loaves of bread are available for sale too. They have excellent wine selections for the connoisseur and will advise those of us not in the know. Wonderful selection of cheeses is also readily available. They also have a selection(variety) of products made in North Carolina. Old Hickory Station is a wonderful place to take out of town guests so ask for a table by the window and enjoy watching small town life go by. Kids young and old can play corn hole out by the tracks while waiting for a table or for their to arrive. Outdoor dining is available as are seats at the bar. Wait staff is usually good; we have our favorites, and a few are so-so, but for the most part, they are attentive. My so-so remark is related to the occasional staff member that is not as attentive to refills on our iced tea. (As true Southerners, we fully expect that glass to never empty!). When asked where I want to go, it is my "go to option."

I’m a big fan of the Asian infused fast food served at House of Nom Nom. Unusual name and modern interior complement the food nicely.
My personal favorites are
- Ban Mi Sandwich
- Bulgogi burger, and
- Thai chicken wings
Service is friendly and overall excellent. Prices are very reasonable, too.

My brother and his partner, my wife and I, enjoyed a fantastic meal, at Vintage House, in a beautiful setting, and outstanding service. I had Shrimp Scampi Pomodoro, with lump crab cake, and a fantastic angel hair pasta, with jumbo shrimp, in a fantastic sauce. Our outstanding wine, was a big pour...everyone was happy, with everything. This is a beautiful venue, with excellent service, and world class food...Highly recommend....
