Great pancakes, crepes, SW, and traditional american breakfasts. Courteous and efficient service. Coffee is always good, not great, but good. This visit I had migas, but normally get breakfast tacos. My wife ordered a walnut blueberry crepe and our son got the breakfast quesadilla *which was huge and contained eggs and bacon). if you like big pancakes get ONE or maybe two. They are great, but too much for me (6'5", 235) to eat. This location seems to have faster service than downtown, probably a function of kitchen size. Enjoy.

Very nice new Dairy Queen! The food was good and service quick! Very clean and nice staff! My only complaint was it was very cold inside. I had to go get my jacket out of the car because it was so cold.

We have been disappointed in our visit to Shipley's the last couple of visits. The donuts seem chewy and almost like they were made ahead. We may not visit for awhile

OMG!!!! This is probably the best Tex-Mex I've ever had in Central Texas. I ordered the chicken flautas plate and it looked EXACTLY like the photo another reviewer posted. My wife ordered the quesadilla plate, my daughters ordered the steak fajita tacos and cheese enchilada plate. Everything was delicious!!!! My kids are very picky eaters but they barely left a single morsel of food on their plates. The corn chips are made fresh and were not greasy or stale like other places. The rojo and verda sauces were very good as well. I was so glad to find this place on TripAdvisor. We loved the food so much that we told other hotel guest that we met about it and the went their as well. The next morning when we ran into them they all had nothing but praise regarding the food and wait staff!! Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Very economical and very delicious.

Brown House Cafe is a specialty cafe that offers local flare and homemade creations! We offer hand pressed and fresh hamburgers, chicken fried steak, fabulous chicken salad, homemade soups and wonderful salads and desserts and now breakfast! If you are looking for something different, you have found your go-to place right outside of Waco, TX. We are not just your average Mom-and-Pop cafe! Although our cafe is new, the owners have close to 30 years of restaurant experience in various venues and this is definitely food done right!
Afternoon coffee, snack, and dessert with friends was pleasant at Brown house. Coffee was good. Appetizer plate had great mozzarella sticks, and good fried onions/pickles (although too many pickles and not enough onions). Pie was great. Service was a little slow, especially on coffee refills, but we were taking our time in ordering and eating, so the waitress may have gotten an incorrect perception of the need for drink refills.

It's just a place to eat Tex Mex food . Nothing special. It survives because it's one of two restaurants in the whole town. They charge for takeout boxes. I have never seen that before. They also charge for extra chips and dip. It's not a bad place it's just nothing special and it's expensive for cheap food. The people are really friendly. This is also where folks in Lorena meet for meetings, which is another reason it has survived. It's good food

The cheese pizza on the original crust is a great lunch. Their salads are fresh and good as well. Love that they deliver and in a timely manner. Besure and sign up for discounts and specials using your phone number.

Yum! I always look for a good bowl of soup especially when I'm sick. Mcalisters potato soup is great for that and the sandwich wasn't bad either. I like to stick to hot grilled sandwiches. They have salads, spuds, soups and sandwiches and it's pretty quick for fast food.

Great Pizza and this location is far nicer than the original location, still in operation on Valley Mills Drive. Pizza toppings can be almost anything you want. Crusts are always properly prepared. Not soggy or tough. Service is fast and good. Native Wacoans swear by Pappa Rollos, and I agree this is be best pizza "in town."
