Visited the Fat Olives last weekend
Meet with a warm welcome & asked what table we would like to sit at
The service & meal were great Starters The pastry caramelised onion tart & tuna
Main course Loin of Lamb & Trout
Presentation excellent & taste even better
The one thing I would say is the Fat Olive just lacked a little but of atmosphere
Ideal place if your planning a special occasion with someone special

At here the other night with the family. The food was excellent and above the standard of most Indian restaurants - very nicely presented. It was also slightly more expensive than some Indian restaurants, so I guess you get what you pay for. The naan breads were very good. Overall a great meal, and I will definitely be going back there even though it's a bit of a drive from my house.

Had a fantastic two nights at the Langstone the Executive room we had was really spacious and had a lovely view across the estuary, it was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had a super Birthday dinner in the restaurant - the tasting menu prepared by James Parsons ( head chef ) was unbelievable and exceeded all our expectations and worthy of any Michelin star restaurant with presentation and attention to detail second to none.
Definitely will revisit the Langstone hotel with friendly staff and amenities. B/Sheila.

My wife had a meal in here and thought it was pretty good, unfortunately when we went back together for the evening, it was anything but...
Starters almost inedible and tiny. Tough meat and poor balance in their curries - red and green. Very difficult to find decent Thai food in Portsmouth, Hayling, or Chichester.
Pleasant enough service - though - hence the extra star.

The olive leaf has a good selection of home cooked fare with food ranging from tapas at the bar to fresh locally caught fish and pub old favourites with a good range of house wines and more. Come and join us to see or join in with some real local talent, all welcome. We are also dog friendly. On Sunday evening from 5pm. We fire up our wood fired funky Pizza Pod. Please visit our web site for more information and updates. We do not open on Mondays, (even god took a day off)!!
We have just popped into the Olive Leaf after a lovely walk along the beach. We hadn’t booked but were made to feel very welcome. We had roast beef and home made steak pie. Just lovely. The swede was so delicious. This is a traditional proper pub with such a jolly landlord. It’s how pubs used to be. We pop in here a couple of times a month and have just booked again to celebrate my parents 63rd wedding anniversary. They have reserved us a lovely table with sea views and I know my parents will love it as this pub is how they remember Hayling Island from years ago. Well done to all the staff. Your pub is how pubs should be and not owned by Breweries that do not care about there customers. See you on the 5th November.

Flintstones is a harbour side cafe with panoramic views. We offer breakfast, light lunches , afternoon teas and new forest ice creams.
We found this by chance and what serendipidy. Utterly charming, nearly full but with a regular turnover of patrons who unlike us seemed all to be there because they knew it and likely were regulars. A testament in itself. Warm friendly service. Excellent hot chocolate with a mince pie and cream. Just the job towards the end of our wander around Emsworth - in itself a rewarding explore.....

When using TA, I always look at the -ve comments first. If they are old, then I ignore them. Some of the bad ones are recent, and I find them really hard to understand.
Today, Saturday lunch time, it was not too busy, people were put off by the bad weather I expect. We just wanted a light lunch and chose from the starter menu.
My wife had game terrine, she said it was great. I got her pickled onions, they were delicious. I had kedgeree balls with soft boiled egg, salad, and curried mayonnaise. I hope it stays on the menu, I would go back for it again - just fantastic. I understand it was a modified version of a standard menu, but modified by the staff. The eggs were quail eggs, just perfect with the kedgeree.
We had two drinks and the total was £18.65. I believe you have to pay for quality, and perhaps the price is a little on the high side, but you have to remember the fabulous location too.

The Blue Bell Inn Emsworth Public House offers a comfortable space in which to meet friends and socialise and is well stocked with a wide range of Real ales some of which are local, lagers, wines and spirits. The Blue Bell has developed a reputation for delivering fine food at reasonable prices under the watchful eye of owner Giles and head chef Steve. See what the fuss is about. Only yards from the harbour quay, this busy local is at the heart of the community, its the perfect spot for a drink or a bite to eat after a walk around the harbour. We pride ourself on the quality of the food at The Blue Bell, with it all being made in house, and using local suppliers were ever possible which helps support the local economy.
We have enjoyed the Blue Bell many times. The latest being with friends on a busy Friday evening. It’s always busy here so book ahead.
Whilst known for splendid Fish & Chips the menu and especially the daily specials offer much more. The quality matches the generous portions so value is assured. You can enjoy Scallops, belly pork, lasagne and more.
The Blue Bell serves good local beers and the wine list is better than you get in many pubs. It is a busy local so expect a bit of bustle but it’s very friendly and service is helpful. It is popular because it is genuine, plays to its strengths and avoids any unnecessary pretentiousness. We will keep going

We are located in Northney village with views over the farm and out to Chichester Harbour. Please come along and enjoy our delicious sandwiches, light lunches and ice cream – all home-made on the premises. We serve breakfast from 10-12 and our lunch menu from 12-3.30. We use our own Ayrshire milk in the Tea Room, as well as the ice cream and loose hanger cheese being made from our very own Ayrshire milk.
Convenient place to stop for us, just a few minutes drive off the A27 and much much nicer than a service station. Good selection of dishes for lunch. Very tasty food, good portion sizes and fair prices. Friendly and efficient staff. Decent toilets and good size car park. Really cant go wrong. Would be very happy to stop off here again in future. (also if you need fuel there is a place that was very reasonably priced just at the end of the road the cafe is on).

Very experienced Fish & Chip Shop. Find us on Facebook. Google 'Hayling Seaview'. We are located on the Funland grounds and are open all year round. Eat-in available until 6pm, takeaway until 8pm. The best frying family on Hayling Island! Small local business with a five hygiene rating. We fry to order, no gimmicks, just great food!
We've been coming to hayling sea front for years and this fish and chip establishment is by far the best value fish and chips. The portions aren't measily and always cooked fresh every time. The owners always welcome us and today served us despite turning up after closing hours. Having tried other fish and chip restaurants locally I can honestly say these are the best by far.
