My wife and I have had many great meals at La Panetiere. The food is always great and although French cuisine is not always my favorite this place is the exception. We had a veal dish the other night that was one of the best meals I have ever had and the rest of the meal was almost as good. The staff is very helpful with suggestions and very efficient in serving your meal. If you are looking for a great meal in a very nice setting this is the place.

We were looking for a bite to eat before going by train to Grand Central. A super spot on Halstead Avenue directly across from the train station. Looks like a family diner on the outside but much more upscale inside. They have great thin crust pizza , excellent Cannelli Beans, and wonderful Spinach Ravioli. All presented warm and perfectly dished and staged. We will definitely go back.

This fantastic establishment in downtown Port Chester offers a wide array of freshly baked items ( breads, muffins, scones, croissants, pies, cupcakes, cookies) PLUS delicious homemade soups and salads and sandwiches and a lovely salad bar. There are ample tables for dining in, too. Service is friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the drive from Westchester and lower Fairfield County.

Finally got a chance to try the famous Walter's. Enjoy the architecture of their 90-year old stand, and anticipate their centennial celebration in a couple of years--they have to be doing it right!
They split the dogs and toast the buns. I recommend a double with Walter's original mustard-relish. The sweet potato waffle fries are a great side.

Carvel makes the best soft serve ice cream....period. I started going to the Mamaroneck, NY Carvel more than 60 years ago. Now that there is a store in Harrison where customers can sit at tables is an improvement. The only complaint is parking. You have to be lucky to find a space in downtown, whereas the store in Mamaroneck has its own lot. Regarding soft ice cream...Carvel's recipe is very close to the Gelato made in Italy. In fact it's even creamier. Their hard ice cream is simply the soft ice cream frozen to a lower temperature. On the negative side, the prices are ridiculously high.

Special Hours: closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, January 1st.
The chopped salad was very good but The branzino was a bit bland and the chicken parm was just ok. Surprisingly the chicken parm came without any accompaniments such as pasta. They have many soccer games on their multiple screens which attracts the crowds

Located on Purchase Street in the quaint, seaside town of Rye, New York, Aurora ushers diners into an authentic Italian oasis, where the smell of wood-fired pizzas, rich, homemade pastas, and sumptuous entrees create a mouth-watering welcome. The restaurant’s bright, airy interior and soft color palette call to mind a Tuscan dawn, providing a soothing and sophisticated backdrop for an unforgettable meal.
Ramsey Zakka does it one more time. He has the system down!
Great meal, but when asked to have a little more sauce on my pasta it definitely was just stuck in the microwave and came back to me with no extra sauce, just a musher pasta

If you like the old school pizza by the slice or by the pie, try Sal's. My first visit, the line was out the door but moved very quickly. Awesome pizza and a friendly staff make a visit to Sal's a pleasure.

Eat, drink and gather in our contemporary American gastro-bar and restaurant featuring American cuisine with locally sourced ingredients prepared by award winning Chef Jean-Claude Lanchais.
Wonderful experience, amazing food and service. We sat at the chef's table in kitchen. chef Jean-Claude was a great host. Had wine paired with six different course which were custom made for us based on preferences/allergies based on communications when we made the reservation. They were very accommodating.
We will do this again!

I had a caesar salad app, good.
Then had the chick scarpiello substituting double broccoli for potatoes.
Split a split a brownie a la mode with the other couple.
Though nothing was particularly outstanding, everything was fine enough
Would eat here again, though probably not my first choice
Service was excellent.
