Harpers Ferry is a historic town in Jefferson County, West Virginia, United States. It was formerly spelled Harper's Ferry with an apostrophe and that form continues to appear in some references. It is situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers where the U.S. states of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia meet. It is the easternmost town in West Virginia. The town's original, lower section is on a flood plain created by the two rivers and surrounded by higher ground. Have always wanted to go here after living in the area for 11 years so we decided to go try them for a nice Sunday Holiday Weekend Breakfast. Did actually try to eat here before but arrived only to find it closed even though it was a day they should have been open according to their hours. Parking is an issue because there really isn't much in front of it 2-3 spaces at the most so you have to do street parking. When we arrived we could tell by the cars it was busy. Walked in and every table was full and there were folks ahead of us. There is no sign that says please wait to be seated or please check in at the register and no one taking names. Eventually one of the only 2 servers they had looked at us and said it will be awhile. It was and more folks arrived but no one else was seated during that time. About 3/4 of the folks that were seated did not have their meals so again we figured going to be awhile. All of a sudden the other server a young man looked our way and said are you on the wait list? We said what wait list? He said well I will put your name on it. Again we waited. A table left and they actually separated a 4 top into 2 tables so it appeared yea we were going to be seated. BTW no one behind us got put on a wait list either. He came and got us and the couple behind us. Our table was bare no condiments, utensils etc. He tossed us a couple of menus and said do you want something to drink. We both ordered coffee. He came back sort of slammed the full mugs of coffee on the table both had spoons in them, the coffee sloshed around and he left. So we both take cream and I use sweetener but alas there was none. We waited and he eventually came back and said you ready to order? My husband said well some cream, sweetener, salt and pepper napkins and silverware would be nice to start. He said and I kid you not This is verbatim, Well, we pulled this table apart to make 2 so your's doesn't have all that stuff on it. My husband said so because you pulled the tables apart does that mean we don't get any of that? He said sure and that is when we got up and left. Seriously I ask you WHY does this area make it so hard to support local business and then they are shocked when a business fails? I can't review the food because we got none and we won't be back to try it but I can tell you that this place is in need of some server help and better management.

We first discovered this spot on a bike ride between Point of Rocks and Harper's Ferry on the C & O Canal biking and hiking trail. Brunswick is seven miles from Point of Rocks and a good stopping point for refreshment and a pit stop. This place has great atmosphere - a historic 1700s church building that has been renovated into a coffee and lunch spot. Lots of group seating, whether soft chairs and sofas, or tables and chairs. Orders are walk-up and taken in the pulpit / choir loft area. Service is a little slower than other places, but that's no problem when you pass the time catching up with friends or admiring the stained glass windows. Staff is friendly, and food is good -- light fare of soups, salads and sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, plus a case of bakery items. We like to make B in the B our halfway point for meeting friends who live in Gettysburg.

Come and take a culinary trip around the Mediterranean Sea when you walk through our doors. We offer Traditional and Modern dining all while sampling foods from Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Lebanon and Morocco.
Were staying in Harpers Ferry looking for a Saturday night dinner. Most places closed in HF because out of season, so looked elsewhere. We were attracted by the menu of Alfredo's we found on line: Persian, Spanish, French, Moroccan,.... And prices very reasonable. So we went. OK - first - very friendly and attentive wait service. Asked for recommendations from server and ordered Pollo a la Castellana (15.99): sauteed chicken breast with roasted red pepper, capers and artichokes in a lemon butter sauce served over pasta or rice. VERY good. Eat slowly and enjoyed every bite. My wife ordered Ghormeh Sabzi ($11.99): steak, mixed greens and herbs cooked together and served over basmati rice. Yeah - also pretty good. We shared. Oh - Also - a platter of hummas and pita bread with salsa and maybe goat cheese automatically arrived (free) very soon after we sat down. We will be eating here next time we come to HF and we will be recommending this place. Very satisfied.

A friend of mine told me to stop here when in town. Glad I did. Friendly service. They person at the counter made a few suggestions, and patiently answered my questions. I was not disappointed. Was quite full after having one of their burritos (fresh ingredients). Great variety of choices off their menu. See picture that I uploaded. Will stop here again next time I am in town.

Origin Specific Cuisine Local Season Lunch, Dinner and Brunch(Saturday & Sunday) Pet Friendly Patio
While the server was kind and attentive, and the catfish delicious, we were shocked at the pricing and lack of attention to detail for the restaurant in that price range. Pulling up we noticed immediately lack of attention to landscape detail, including empty flower beds, no mulch and front porch dirty/not swept. There was nothing warm to greet us. There was plastic seating on the patio. When we stepped inside while we appreciate the minimalistic style, it was not a warm or inviting atmosphere. When opening the menu, we found it very wordy and confusing, and the prices were shocking. While the main course ($26.00 for catfish on rice only) was delicious, it was way out of proportion to the price and plate (both huge). I think with some attention to detail for atmosphere (can be minimalistic with atmosphere) and price adjustments (maybe add a salad) and warm up the entrance, the farm to table experience could step up because the catfish was really delicious!

We were headed to Harpers Ferry for the day so we stop by to grab some sandwiches and this place never disappoints considering how busy they were the food came out in about 10 to 15 minutes the macaroni salad was expensive but worth it the only drawback is they do not have a drink selection seating is limited to about 6 people but this place has rockin food great job

This American food chain, is quite good. We stopped to have dinner there, wasn't very crowded on a Sunday night. The food was Good, just had a soup and sandwich. We Loved our waitress she was very attentive and very friendly. Since it wasn't crowded, we were able to get in and out quite quickly. I would recommend.

The Guide Shack was the perfect start to our day. The coffee was great and Chris was full of local knowledge and ideas for things to do. It's a Veteran-owned/operated business that sells goods (whole bean coffee and baked goods) from other Veteran-owned business.

This small restaurant has an outdoor rafting theme, which suits its location near Harpers Ferry and the Appalachian Trail. It was lively on a Friday night. The crab soup was very good, the hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwich were average, the French fries soggy, and the salad crisp, if uninspired. The cupcakes (apparently the only dessert offered) were very good. They have a large selection of beers and other drinks. The raspberry lemonade was good. Service was fairly slow but very friendly.
