Wonderful owners, great food. Newly remodeled from other side of the square. It is beautiful inside and the atmosphere is terrific! Good Margs!

The DQ in Harlan has been there for decades, and never disappoints! The service wasn't fantastic, but the soft serve was!

Milk & Honey is a farm to table casual breakfast and lunch restaurant. We opened in June of 2015 in the Old Saylor Hotel in downtown Harlan.
What a delightful find in my hometown! This restaurant uses locally grown and sourced ingredients to create some delightfully interesting breakfast entrees. It is a great place for a breakfast meeting or with friends. Cute restaurant with great food at reasonable prices.

Great friendly, fast service - with a smile. Lots of unique sandwiches, all of which you can get in a bowl on lettuce if you don't want the carbs of delicious breads. We got the bread.
Everything was delicious and was said and tasted like it was homemade. The bars were yummy. Prices were good. $8.75 for most sandwiches. I had the Flying Pig. It was super. We didn't leave a crumb.

A nice Pizza Ranch location off the city square across from the courthouse. Nice old brick building. Good, well run, Pizza Ranch. Good fried chicken, pizza, and a nice salad bar.

My wife and I have eaten at Victoria Station a number of times and always felt we got a good meal for a reasonable price. They have a fairly diverse menu. My wife likes their BBQ Ribs and I'm very fond of their Prime Rib. Not many places you can go and get a 16-18 Oz. Prime Rib for $20.00. If there was anything negative I'd say it was the relish tray before the meal. It's OK, but nothing really exceptional. But the meals are great!!

This place is a simple, quick and reasonably priced American Mexican restaurant. To be honest, it's very Americanized. That being said it's a must visit every time I'm in town. There is a salsa bar with chips that comes with any meal. They also have a drive through, but I would recommend calling 10 minutes before to avoid a wait. Can get quite busy around lunch time, but you should always be able to find a seat.

Right off a big Interstate 80 interchange. Across the street from the truck stop compound. Not bad. It's another Subway.

I was picking up a personal pizza for a friend and decided to eat at this Pizza Hut for lunch before i got the take out pizza - was greeted by Lori and asked my seating preference and was seated -she brought me beverage while i looked the menu over - i asked her for suggestion and she suggested the buffet bar - $ 5 for those over 55 - included salad and pizza bar - i had an hour so i agreed to try it - salad had the usual array of sides for salad creation - there were half dozen different pizza's , bread sticks and warm cinnamon bars available - with beverage it was $7 - Lori - (waitress from nearby Avoca) was very friendly, courteous and helpful - i will be back again for lunch when i am in town

My wife and I are living in Harlan, Iowa since I'm working a long term contract out of Omaha, NE. Over the last six months we have gone to Goozman's regularly to have a few drinks and a meal (bar food).
The food has always been acceptable. Burgers are above average and their Saturday Wing special is pretty good. We especially like them tossed in their Sweet Chile sauce.
From our first visit we found service at the bar OK. However, you can't order and pay for food at the bar. You have to go over to the dining side of the building and go down a hallway where there are usually two kids sitting at a card table who will take your order. They admitted to me that service is purposely slow so you will go and spend more money at the bar while waiting on your food order.
My wife is waiting for a knee surgery, so has some days better than others when it comes to getting around. So, I often will go in and place an order to go and take food with me so we can eat together. When I went in a few weeks ago to get an order of Wings To Go tossed in our favorite sauce the two young boys promptly informed me that they would charge me extra to toss the wings. I just took the sauce with me and dealt with it. I went in yesterday and placed an order to go and was going to the bar to wait for them to finished my order. This time I was advised that tossing them was at no extra charge, but if I wanted the order to go it would cost me $16.00 instead of the $9.65 because "A To-Go" order would be defeating the purpose of their special pricing, which was for customers to spend money at the bar wile they take forever to bring your food order. It worked, as I spent $8.00 for 75 cents worth of beer waiting on them to prepare and bring my food order. Then when the order did come the wings hadn't been tossed in sauce, so I asked them to toss them. The answer wasn't an apology or we'll toss them for you, it was we don't have time!!
The don't need my business.
