The food is fabulous and the service is friendly. This small restaurant tucked into Hampstead Center is a real find. I had the portabella mushroom, carmelized onion, red pepper and goat cheese omelette. It sounds quirky, but it was delicious. The onions added just enough sweetness. The fresh fruit was ripe, not the tasteless stuff often served in small restaurants. My son had the bacon and eggs and thought his was good too. The coffee was very good. If I have one complaint it was that they were very slow to refill coffee cups. I had to find the waiter and ask for a refill.

Met a friend at Beantowne Coffee House & Cafe in Hampstead for coffee and ended up having an early lunch. I enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich which was all white meat chicken, fancied up with some sliced granny smith apples and chopped walnuts. I chose a spinach wrap but many other bread options were also offered. The coffee was great. I had a nice dark roast on ice. The establishment was clean. Seating was very adequate for the time of day we visited and there was even a nice "nook area" with upholstered couches and chairs. I would visit again.

Went to Maddie's with my niece Kelly and friend Gail. We were hoping to get breakfast but it was a little after 11:30. Had the soup and 1/2 sandwich combo. Maddie's is always busy with returning guests. The Pasta Fabiola hit the spot and was one of the soups of the day. I had the California sandwich on sourdough which was very good. My niece had the same but with chili, she didn't care for it. I tried it since I'm a chili freak and didn't care for the seasonings. Gail also had a sandwich, the steak which I've had there before and it's very good. I'll be back.

Have gone to the Commodore Grill several times and have never been displeased. Their salads are probably the freshest I have ever had and they have homemade croutons that just melt in your mouth. My husband had the Veal parm and it was delicious. I had the chicken with butter and it was fabulous. They also serve hand cut french fries that are so good. The server is great and we will be going back very soon. Try it and I know you will like the Commodore Grill.

The owner is such a nice lady. The hard ice cream is great, don't care for the soft! I absolutely love the chocolate ice cream. Very clean place. Prices are fair. Only complaint, I wish she will eventually change from plastic cups to paper ones.

I am a regular dunks latte's drinker, although I rarely go to this place. But I was very impressed when I decided to go in. The person who took my order (cashier) was VERY pleasant and polite. While I was waiting for my latte, I also observed their crew - they were very happy and full of joy. The Manager was friendly and she offered to heat up the pretzel I ordered. Such a cheerful environment, so I decided to sit there to enjoy my latte and pretzel. The cashier was also cleaning the place - WITH a BIG smile on her face! the place is very clean and the whole cheerful environment was awesome. I would definitely go back there.

If you want great doughnuts, go to Heavenly Donuts in Haverhill. They make them fresh there and are better than any national chain. I go for the doughnuts and not the coffee so my review is strictly on doughnuts. The best is the managers special which is usually a cream filled glazed. Truly decadent.

The Stagecoach Grille is a very nice casual restaurant at the Atkinson Country Club. During the warm weather months (May to October), you can sit outside overlooking part of the beautiful golf course. And in the colder weather, the indoor seating is very cozy, and the restaurant is less crowded - especially at lunchtime. The fare is American and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

We had dinner Friday night. We sat at a booth. We read the specials on the white board. The waitress doesn't tell you what they are. I had delicious broiled scallops with broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was a special. Others had the Monte Cristo and a full order of the macaroni and cheese (you can order a half order). They have beer and wine as well.
