A type of fast food place. You go to the window and order. They give you an electronic device - a disk - that lights up when your order is ready. Clever.
Lovely outdoor Seating area within a treed area with Fountain, etc. Ample indoor Seating as well. Very clean, excellent service.
They seemed to specialize in pizzas. Also had calzone. There were around 6 or 7 varieties of pizzas, including pepperoni and vegetarian. The pizzas were not bad but I did not see any tomato sauce and if there was oregano and basil, it was minimal. I like spices! They also had fried mushrooms (which were great) as well as chips. Liter bottles of Doogh and Coke to drink.
The place was doing great business when we were there. We arrived at around 10pm, I believe. Staff was friendly and the place is definitely kid friendly. Lots of groups of families and friends. Wheelchair accessible, as all is on one floor. I do not recall any steps. There is probably a ramp somewhere. The restaurant seems very new and is well lit.
Parking was no problem. I believe there is a gravel lot just to the left of the restaurant.
As an added bonus, across the street from the Green Moon is an international center for the study of the Quoran. The building is spectacular, with huge globe made of steel (or so it seemed at night). It was illuminated initially.

Shandiz Haji one of the branches of Shandiz Mashhad chain restaurants with more than 55 years experience. The restaurant located in the traditional atmosphere and spectacular architecture from Qajar dynasty.
really Shandiz Haji is number one at Hamedan . 200 kilometer driving resulted an excellent lunch which i had planned for it . the restaurant has been located on downtown ( historical region of the city ) , with narrow streets which make it some difficult to find it . as it is written on glazed board at entrance of the restaurant actually that was a Hamam ( bath room ) at Qajar time , later changed to a museum and recently used as a restaurant . in addition to taste a fantastic meal in this restaurant you will visit a historical place , highly recommended to foreigners .
we ordered three different meal which two of them was very delicious ( Shishlik & Koubideh ) the third one was Gormeh which was almost acceptable . the inside atmosphere is very pleasant , staff are polite , bread cooked inside of the restaurant , yogurt unbelievably delicious ,...in one word that will be gig miss if you go to Hamedan and dont have a meal at this restaurant . rates are reasonable if i want to compare with Tehran but a little high for Hamedan .
