Ok so all my youth was spent in the Great state of Texas... I got married and moved away.., always ,always love coming home and going to DQ brazier food. If you've ever eaten at DQs in other states you know what I mean !! Any way the last couple of years this hometown DQ has gone to pot... I'm so disappointed !! And there's not one to make it up in Mexia. I can't in good faith recommend it

A friend and I eat here every time we go to the lake; burgers are really good. Their onion rings get great raves, but we thought they were mediocre at best. (Dallas has lots of onion ring options, though, so maybe we're spoiled.) Anyway, last Thursday (07/20/17), there was a young man, obviously new, bussing tables. And doing a great job of it, from our view...he was thorough and polite as could be. An old skinny blonde witch of a waitress was riding him unmercifully in front of the customers about chicken sh- - minutiae. (He didn't reset the catsup next to the salt and pepper the way the harridan wanted. He needed to learn to multi-task, yadda ya....) How about TRAINING new staff AFTER hours instead of b--ching loudly in front of the customers? Did you get off, embarrassing him? Making us uncomfortable? She should be taken to the auction barn in back and sold off. That young man deserves a better situation. Management? You know who they are.

The food is wholesome and tasty. The owner is here 100% of the time cooking food for her customers. That explains why this restaurant does not do the evening meal. They could probably make a lot of money if they served dinner but she has to sleep sometime! I did take away one star for the lack of evening meal - but that was the ONLY reason.

We arrived about 8:15pm. The restaurant closes at 9:00pm. The owner was there and invited us to sit anywhere we want. "This is your place. Sit anywhere you like!" he said. I like that attitude. Our server came immediately and got our drink order. We both ordered sweet tea. I had a hamburger steak with fried okra and mashed potatoes. My companion had steak fingers with French fries. The food was good and there was plenty of it. My mashed potatoes had a slightly odd taste as if the soap had not been completely rinsed out of a dish at some point in the preparation. They weren't so bad that I did not eat them though!
The menu is somewhat confusing about what sides you can get with your meal. It says that you get a salad and french fries with your meal but makes no mention of being able to choose your sides. Be sure to ask the waitress what sides you can choose from.
Overall a nice visit. There is also an Austin's McCarver Steakhouse in Kosse about sixteen miles to the south. I would recommend either of the locations.

Living in rural obscurity for the past 8-9 years naturally means a serious dearth of really good eateries. Granted there are a few hidden gems out here in the wilderness I now call home...but they are few and far between (see some of my other reviews). I am an avid fan of Chinese and Oriental food and there are only a couple of mediocre choices in a 50 mile radius of my home. That is until I discovered Win Hing! It is almost 50 miles to this establishment (which is really kind of radical just to get a food fix), however, I recently discovered that it is well worth the drive! No web site although another restaurant by the same name in Denton, Texas sometimes shows up when you Google. After hearing a few people mention the excellent food, I decided to check it out. I could find very little information such as: buffet, dine-in, menu items, prices, etc. What I did find is a very clean, small restaurant in a little strip mall not too far into the small town of Groesbeck, Texas. There is no ambiance whatsoever. There is dine in options with about 15 tables. The walls are adorned with pictures of the many dishes they serve, a menu and daily specials. You order at the counter and pay. The kitchen is clearly visible and clean. There are over 30 lunch specials daily, Monday thru Saturday, served with fried or white rice, your choice of soup, egg roll or canned soda for 5.99. They are not stingy with the eats! The rest of the appetizers, soups and other dishes cover a 4 page menu including diet and vegetarian choices. It was very hard to make a decision but I ended up with the following: pineapple chicken (you can actually request white or dark meat), chicken fried rice, beef lo mein, egg drop soup, won ton soup and egg rolls. This wasn't all for me and it was take out! Everything was packed so well that it was still hot when I got home about an hour later. The prices are extremely reasonable especially considering how much food they give you and how well it is prepared! The dishes are freshly made, no steam tables. The service is very courteous and friendly. This place is definitely off the beaten path and not close to any major freeways. I can't wait to go back and will probably dine in next time. Another thing to note: they do not serve fountain drinks or iced tea, only canned soda or bottled water. There is a Dairy Queen 4 or 5 blocks away if you prefer an iced drink like tea

Went thru the drive thru but instead of a speaker you got real people come to your vehicle and take your order. We got the chicken strips with sides and probably the best I have ever eaten.

Kamden's just opened their new sit down location. As can be expected, service was slow as the kitchen needs to get adjusted to larger crowds. The food was worth the wait, though. Hamburger steak was seasoned and cooked just right and the sides and salads were fresh and tasty!

This is a new place. The owners seem to be pretty laid-back. Place was clean. They offer about ten different burger/sandwiches. They also have wings and salads along with some side dishes. There is a kids/seniors menu. Their motto is
"Good Food Ain't Fast, Fast Food Ain't Good"
I had a #2, The Johnny. The price was $7.49 and included a 1/2 pound burger with Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, and Onion. It also includes an order of Fries or Tots. That big ol' burger was great except for one thing: There was WAY too much Leaf Lettuce on it! I like leaf lettuce on a burger but in this case it was literally about 20% of an entire head of lettuce. It was also slathered in too much mayonnaise. Leaf lettuce plus lots of mayonnaise is a very messy proposition. Overall I will eat here again. I just need to tell the cook easy on the lettuce and mayo!!

Strictly a carryout location. Sometimes they are a little too stingy with the toppings but their pizza is good in general.

Wow! What a great place for area youth to hang out! We were so impressed that this Sonic offered a bounce house and playground for the little ones and sand volleyball court for the teens! The restaurant side is huge, with plenty of bays. Regular Sonic food and fare. Love their drinks!
