High quality, fresh, natural foods. Specializing in gourmet breakfast & lunch cuisine. Great weekend brunch, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, house made soups and much more. Great spot for vegetarian, vegan & gluten free dining. Full bar with craft beers, fine wines & cocktails. Full service catering.
We enjoyed our lunch at Uptown Kitchen today. We had the ham and bean soup, spicy Italian, salad, and a chicken avocado sandwich. The staff were friendly and the ingredients fresh. Had lunch here recently on a Saturday. Go early! It was quite crowded by 12:30PM! I hear the brunch is wonderful. We ordered off the menu and the lunch menu was substantial. The food was really tasty! The chicken wings were smoked and exceptional! Really, if you're in the area, you need to try this place! All the beers are local and good!

I liked their cupcakes. They have a variety of flavors. My only problem was the huge frosting glob on the top. Frosting is fine but it tasted very dense and granulated from the sugar or something. It was so dense I couldnt eat it. It made me sick. I feel like they should lighten the frosting up a little. The flavor would be so much better. Also the sugar was very granulated. Not a fan.

I was told by a few people to try this place and they promised I would NOT be disappointed, they were right. This place is AMAZING, Authentic Cajun/Creole food in my opinion. My wife and I ordered the Pretzel Bites for an appetizer and they were the best we have ever had. We then had soup of the day which was Chicken Gniochi. We then ordered our entrees, I had to try the Gumbo and a Shrimp Po Boy sandwich with house made chips. My wife had the Ribeye Steak sandwich, also with house made chips. My wife loves Bread Pudding so she asked our very pleasant, friendly, and fast server, Justine, what kind of bread pudding was available today and it was SMORES. Everything we had was absolutely AMAZING. Large portions, we ended taking a lot of it home. We will definitely be back, probably next week, and I will be telling all of my friends and family about this place.

I always went to Krispy Kreme when I got donuts, someone told me that Rise N Roll was called "Amish Crack" it was sooo good. I now know why they say that, this place is amazing, lots of fresh homemade desserts, cookies, cakes, pies, bread, and of course donuts. They sometimes on rare occasion have day old desserts for a discount which taste just as good if not better than fresh. The people I take Rise N Roll donuts to are beyond happy. Rise N Roll is approx. $1.00 more than KK and is well worth it in my opinion. I unfortunately will NOT be returning to KK for donuts, Rise N Roll are just too good.

This grille is located in a residential neighborhood and while unpretentious, it has amazing food. All the dishes are delicious... foodies will be in heaven. Be sure to have the creamed corn. Out of this world! It's even better than the one @ Chops Lobster House and that used to be my favorite.

Established in 2010 Corndance Tavern presents classic tastes of the Midwest with metropolitan sophistication. Our highly trained staff strive to provide a truly memorable dining experience; professional service, fresh local food presented in a dynamic fashion, and the perfect beverage make your Corndance experience one to remember! Our steaks are dry aged and cut in-house, using midwestern beef fed on grain and grass with no steroids or hormones. We buy produce from local farms, including year-round indoor farming operations in southern Michigan. Our seafood comes straight from the Great Lakes, and what we cannot get locally, we get flown in from around the United States every day. Our wine list is composed of new-world wines from the Americas. You will not find microwaves and frozen food at Corndance--just fresh, local food, inspired by the seasons.
This was my second trip to Corndance. The first experience was on Mother’s Day which was a huge disappointment. Buffet was the only offering and it was poorly managed lines and the food was not outstanding. We tried tonight again for my mother’s 91st birthday. I made reservations for very early 5:00. Morning mother has difficulty walking so we use a wheelchair for her. We get to the parking lot and can’t even tell where the handicap parking is. There are no signs just paint in the pavement which is covered with snow. The ramp available was blocked by a car.
When we arrived we were seated in the room with the butcher case! Not only is the smell awful it was 18 degrees outside and there are windows everywhere! I went back to the hostess and requested to be moved and she stated that was the only place to accommodate a wheelchair! But she did offered to light a candle! We were ready to leave when another server stated they would seat us elsewhere. There was a ramp to the dining room and mostly empty tables. It was at if they didn’t want a wheelchair in their dining room.
I believe there is a ADA law that requires business to provide accommodations. This experience was a very poor start to a meal. No one even apologized.
Our meal was fine. The steaks were done as ordered. They did bring a chocolate dessert for my mother.
Considering the very high prices of our meal everything is a la carte this place is not exceptional. I would go to Lasalle Grill and get first class service with less money and feel like a had a great dining experience.

Jean has been running a restaurant for a long time and she remembers regular customers so she anticipates your order if you regularly order the same thing. Very fast service especially at lunch where you've barely touched your soup and your meal is there. Chinese students at Notre Dame get more authentic meals because they know what to ask for, but Jean will have the kitchen make you whatever you'd like, especially if it has fresh green beans!

Probably not everyone's problem, but I tried this place twice. Both times I struggled to find an option that wow'd me. I had pasta the first time and ended up with just hummus the second time. I did not like the pasta and the hummus was fine.
I know that tastes differ, so many people probably enjoy it, just not me.

Came in on a whim. We were one of the last walk ins accepted at 4pm. Lots of unhappy customers being turned away. Ordered my favorite back and prosciutto, my husband had the Mediterranean chicken and his plate is shown. Lol great bread, friendly waitresses. I would not recommend the bar area on a cold day.
