This was our first time here. There is the Pub and the Outdoor Garden; we ate in the dining room which is white tablecloths in a pleasant, relaxed setting. My wife said the duck was among the best she has ever had, fresh, not gamy, not dry, really just perfect. I had the filet mignon which was very good but not quite excellent. Had this been just a little better I would have given this place five stars overall - it is clearly five stars for the duck.
I had a puff pastry with ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert which was really grand. The bill for two of us without tip and one glass of wine was a hundred bucks and change.
The service was quick and attentive. This is one of the nicest restaurants in the area. We will be back!

The interior is eclectic with various things like soaps, beauty products, and organic foods. There is some seating in the cafe and we were able to grab a table. Our sandwiches were prepared to order and tasted great. Loved my ham and Swiss and my partner loved the roast beef. Very filling. We will stop here again! Tasty!!

Phelps Barn at the Grafton Inn serves as the inn's bar. Attached to the main inn, Phelps Barn was once a carriage house for guests' horses. All legal beverages served. Free WiFi. NEW sit-down bar, upstairs in the pub. Hours: Open Wednesday-Sunday, 4-10 pm, serving our pub menu 5-9 pm. First Wednesdays: First Wed. Of every month, drink specials from 5-6:30 pm. Thursdays: Burger & Brew Night, Old Tavern burger and a 16 oz beer for just $10. Fridays: Flatbread Fridays, serving made-to-order flatbread pizzas in our wood-fired pizza oven. Saturdays: Live music at 8 pm, no cover.
We enjoyed our dining experience here from food, to service to the great entertainment. There is a big fireplace upstairs and it has a mixed crowd of couples and families. Everything is family friendly. You can have pub food, appetizers, drinks, sandwiches or a full meal. The desserts are amazing and homemade and items are farm to table. You won't be disappointed. Great service too.

Bringing the great pies of the south to New England! We use close to home ingredients to make your pie extra special
This wholesome little shop on the Chester Village Green is wonderful. Everything tastes like your grandmother made it...unless your granny was a terrible cook...then it tastes like someone else's granny made it. Have to say that of the three types I've tried I'm still stuck on apple, although nothing has disappointed.

One gas pump is a welcome sight in the middle of nearly 'no where' by city folk standards. Add to that free WIFI in the middle of a no cell tower zone and a pretty good cup of Joe makes Cambridgeport Country Store a fun stop. There is a pot belly stove and rocking chairs just waiting for you to sit a bit. Step back in time for a few moments as this rustic country store is also the local post office, deli, packy, grocery, lotto, state game permits.. just about everything store. Very Vermonty. :)

For a non-local, it was a little difficult to find this gem, on the way north of Chester Center. When you see the flag stop! There is a vine covered trellis entrance, we missed it the first time we pulled In.The building looked like a deserted barn, but after finding the entrance, when you open the door you are overwhelmed with the heavenly fragrance of baking bread and goodies. I am so glad we found this spot. They do serve lunch, but we did not do that.

The Grafton Inn is famous for its imaginative cuisine, thoughtfully prepared with fresh locally sourced food and exploding with flavor. Our knowledgeable service staff, led by Chef Martin Schuelke, is eager to explain ingredients and methods, and to help you explore our Farm to Table cuisine with us.We are open seven days a week from 6 – 9 p.m. A children's menu is offered. Reservations recommended.
Everything is Farm to Table. Meal perfectly paced. Staff so friendly and helpful. Very classy and elegant. Food is delicious and the desserts are really worth saving room for. We missed the famous cheesecake, but the chocolate mousse is to die for. You can even eat the chocolate dish.

This is a real diner - not a classy, expensive restaurant with fancy decor - just a real diner where you get the kind of good, home-made food you depend on at a reasonable price. Whether you want a solid breakfast, quality, lunch, or something...MoreThank you for the kind words!!! Sorry about the steps we sand as much as we can, winter can be harsh on us Vermonters!

My husband and I driving back to Maine, stopped for an overnight at a B&B.The owner of the B&B suggested this place. Absolutely loved it ! Very seldom do you get everything in a restaurant. The atmosphere, the greeting from the host, sweet waitress, add the music & fresh creative food & you have a success story. I give this place five stars.
We started with the butternut squash soup, the beet salad and vegetarian gnocchi
a couple of draft IPA's and left with a smile.

The owners, Ally and June, are wonderful. This is an upscale but warm establishment. The food is delicious. The activities they have brought to the town, i.e. Taco Night, Farm to table dinners, Block party, were all well attended and wonderful events. We look forward to joining them for their next event.
