Usually the Lakeside comes through, but they really dropped the ball. Visit was on a Monday evening; not too busy but service was slow and food quality was spotty. Walleye was outstanding (as usual) but salmon w/ capers was well undercooked (and had to be sent back) and was BURIED in onions and capers. The sides of red potatoes were both cold and undercooked (hard!). Server was not particularly apologetic or accommodating. Definitely a disappointment.

First of all, the picture of the building on tripadvisor is old.
They have remodeled it and I looks classy!
Service was good and workers were friendly. Food was excellent!
My only complaint is that I had to tell the worker 3 time what size I wanted, but other than that It was great!

I had the Sirloin Bites ... Super flavorful (next visit I'll request no salt they were super salty). They were done to perfection. I would definitely recommend them. They are on the appetizer section and were a perfect meal. Others in our group had salads , wings (super good) & Mexican selections. The plates are full and staff was very accommodating. We all left fully satisfied !

Both the home cooking and the reasonable prices bring me back here. Nothing unique or special except that it is obvious the kitchen cares about what they are serving and both the portions and prices are so much better than a Perkins or Denny's. It is also attached to a bakery so I am pretty sure that accounts for the excellent nature of its breadstuffs. A fine place to go for breakfast or lunch and aptly named as well.

What the outside facade lacks is easily made up by the quality and quantity of the food. The owner(s) couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming. You must order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Large selection of daily specials plus menu. I had the lunch special of Hunan chicken and shrimp spiced to my desired heat level. It was tender and delicious and spiced perfectly for me. It also came with fried rice, an egg roll and a cream cheese puff. A lot of tasty food for a very reasonable price
I usually go up to Alexandria exclusively for Chinese but this place gives them a run for the money! I highly recommend it!

This restaurant serves very good basic food. We attended a large banquet here and while the staff pulled off the event very well, the food was nothing more than basic good. Roast beef (or ham), carrots (overcooked) and potatoes. Salad was very small and also very basic.
The atmosphere is great as it overlooks the lake, but having eaten here several times over the many years I've visited Glenwood, there is just nothing extremely positive about it. We have also eaten off the menu and my comments are the same...good, basic food.

Like an old rail dining car or trolley car, this spotless new restaurant is open 24/7 with a huge menu and choices of seating in booths, or chat with the cook from stools that put you front and center of watching your food created! Food was awesome, service was even better. The place was standout in being spotless from the doorway entrance to the bathrooms as well as decorative ceiling tiles, which are seriously hard to keep clean in a cooking atmosphere- but not under this managers watchful eye. If staying at the Oak Tree Inn which is directly behind it; breakfast is part of your hotel amenity. (2 choices to pick from or an amount off the price of anything on the menu.) This deserves a next time...and more! Love It...

Forget the negative reviews of the past. The menu is new and improved and the views or Lake Minnewaska are always great. Arrive on your boat and enjoy your meal outside in the summer. Be sure to try the Turkey, bacon and cheese on raspberry fritter bread.

We did drive up window for Ice cream cone, reeses polar and Root beer. Service was fast and friendly. The root beer was awesome. Always seems to taste better coming from a A&W store. Even better than the A&W in cans. My wife ordered the twist cone and was surprised that it was root beer flavor with vanilla. She loved it! My polar treat was good as well. Better Ice cream than most fast food places. We have stopped here many times and will likely do so again.

Good people own and operate this family business. The people in the small town of Sedan, near Glenwood, use this as their meeting place.
Last Friday and Saturday nights were busy and a fun atmosphere. Its pretty casual there and Saturday evening was BINGO or BARGO.
