This restaurant never disappoints. The host and owner, Dave, is the kindest, friendliest, person. His wait staff is the best. The chef, co-owner and Dave's brother, Christian, serves excellent, fresh, well prepared food that is always hot and delicious. Onion soup has such a depth of flavor and is served piping. Fried oysters have a very delicate batter and are accompanied with a red cabbage, raisin salad. The yummy mussels were served last evening in a chunky tomato basil sauce, and the sauce alone was delectable. Their haddock is very tender and a favorite. We always enjoy their hanger steak with the brandy peppercorn sauce. Oh so good. To top it all off, their double chocolate mousse is to die for. We look forward to our next meal at this great spot.

Went with my daughter & son-in-law for lunch before visiting a museum in Glens Falls. This is a very popular spot, as the tables filled up quickly. My daughter & I started with hard cider-delish! & my son-in-law had pale ale. I ordered the soup du jour, which was a clam chowder--very creamy & delicious! My entree was the Turkey club wrap--very good & fresh. My daughter ordered the grilled chicken salad & her husband ordered the spicy buffalo chicken breast sandwich. Everything was very tasty & the portions ample. Our server was very friendly & efficient! I definitely recommend this place-it's great for all generations to dine.

The parking lot maybe full and there are lines at the windows, but it is worth the wait and the lines move along fast. The variety is endless and the prices are just right. Martha's closes after Columbus Day weekend and they have a sale on ice cream to take home.

A casual family friendly restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Specializing in quality comfort foods, served by the friendliest wait staff in the area. A local favorite for over 25 years!
A restaurant that has been in this plaza for years and has gone through a few names /owners, but has been The Peppermill for some time now and is a great beginning to your day. Breakfast is my favorite. you wont leave hungry and prices are reasonable when you are bringing family or friends. The staff is very friendly and it is just a nice relaxed atmosphere.!! please make sure you try it.

The weekends are PACKED year round for this place. The food is great, not cheap, but cheap food isn't usually the best anyway! Great selection for breakfast and lunch. Lunch specials always available of different variety, all of which always sound great! Waitstaff is friendly and fast.

This place is ok! Doesn't offer a nice view but they still offer outside seating. The prices are high but still affordable. I don't know if i would go again... it is ok but i would prefer to have a nice view for a romantic dinner! The food was ok.. my husband's breast duck came overcook first, they fixed it but didn't do anything else after it! It is ok but i didnt love it

This place was recommended by locals, and was worth the stop, especially if you are looking for the espresso and related choices, and not the "pot 'o coffee" on a burner....helpful staff, and an enjoyable stop, just across from the civic centre. Was disappointed that they were not open before the hockey game.

The food is good but service is disorganized and slow. After waiting 45 minutes to get in, we then had to wait another 10 minutes for a waiter. Oh well, at least the food was good. Can’t really recommend the City Tavern unless you have plenty of time.

We visit this restaurant each time we come down to Lake George. It never fails to deliver and impress!
The food is always great tasting, plentiful and well priced.
I've been to other chain locations and the food seems to be the same across the board so if you know what to expect elsewhere, you pretty much know what to get here.
The only thing I dislike about this location is it tends to be super busy on weekends and they give you these beepers to tell you when your table is ready - but it's worth the wait! However, I also get the impression that due to the busy atmosphere they tend to rush you out the door once they see you are done which is annoying especially if all you want to do is sit and digest all that food for a bit, but unless you order desert or more drinks, they will come around to try to get you out as polite as possible.
