One of the most historic sites in Spain, Girona lies in northeast Catalonia, just 99 km (62 mi) from Barcelona. Founded by Romans, the city later was taken over by Moors and Franks before finally falling under the rule of Barcelona. Influenced by different cultures and religions, the city beckons visitors with beautiful architecture. The Old and New Town offer many opportunities to pleasurably get lost and observe local life and culture.

Thirty years in the business and certainly deserving of their Michelin Star. Every dish is timed perfectly. Presentation was grand and staff always professional. Comprehensive wine list. Sommelier produced a NZ Pinot noir after asking what we usually like to drink !! The amuse bouche were the best I have ever tasted. Nice little Menu offering interesting choices.

There are bad restaurants, good restaurants and then there are great restaurants. Amongst the great restaurants this stands out because it isn't just that the food is outstanding, which it is, but the event is pure theatre. Each course describes a part of the lives of the brothers that direct this fantastic place. Everything is superb, from the kitchen tour before dinner, through the inventive world canape, to each delightful dish. Everything is beautiful, every plate is amazing (the plate as well as the food). Plates that hold the exact temperature that is desired for the dish. To top it all, the biggest wine list I have ever seen and it is wonderful. The contents are great and the price range excellent, so good value can be had as well as good wine. The tour of the wine store after dinner is a further delight. Service, as you would expect, is outstanding. What a wonderful evening this was. It takes ages to get a table, but just do it.

I have passed this place many times in the old streets of Girona and saw it was busy and this month we finally stopped! There was an excellent choice on the special menu, the house wine was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. Promise I will stop again!

Serves tapas without the bread as base. Gourmet food.
I opted for choices from the main menu rather than either of the tasting menus. I could have opted for either and added wine pairings. I was assured that chef would adapt dishes to my taste or to take account of allergies.
I had the scallops and the red tuna. Beautifully presented and served with a touch of theatre!
A small note of thanks too. I was dining alone and I felt the staff were welcoming and considerate- as well as professional. Big Ups, Divinum!

Mexican Restaurant
I have no complaints at all. I ordered the vegan Nopal dish, and it was excellent. Me and the Boyfriend love tamarind so of course, we got the margaritas. The home-made cheesecake with mango was amazing. Sure, the space is a bit tight, but the place is quite cozy and there's a lot of things to look at while you wait for the food. Not that it would have been a long wait. The waitress was very nice, seems like there's a good team spirit in the restaurant :) I'm hoping to try many more items next time I get to come to Girona.

This little pizzeria it's between old and new town. It's hard to find, but once you go in, the ambiance is wonderful. Italian-Catalonian owner, they're happy to speak Catalan, Spanish or Italian, and to recommend you their best pizzas. In my opinion, the one wit truffles was best!!!
You can eat there, or take away. Reasonable price for the quality (between 9-12€). Without a doubt, this place offers the best pizza of Girona

In the heart of Girona you will find the restaurant l'Alqueria that specializes in valencian rice dishes
I followed advice from TA, having a little doubt to find it. Small, narrow street, getting in with expectations. This was last day with our parents in Catalunya and I want to take them to something they will remember. And this was exactly the place. Few floors, kitchen at ground floor, cooks with gloves, behind the glass. Reception to welcome you. We had no reservation, but time for lunch was just good to get the table. After 30min is was nearly full. Ask for english menu. The food was exceptional, prices reasonable. The fried cod is s must for those who eat fish. Something you want to know how is prepared. Tuna medium with red wine was great. Prices are decent, little noble all around, but you feel as valuable guest. Thank you all from L'Alqueria!

Visiting this cocktail bar is definitely a unique experience in each visit, if you dare to leave the classics gintonics, pisco saur, mojitos and enter the world of a professional like Mariona and her team, perfectly able to attend two rooms, one total of twenty tables more or less. Better to arrive before 11:00 PM. We have discovered that each visit must confess the mood and how many tips come from dinner, after this information let yourself be advised and the experience will be unforgettable. Normally, if I go with my girlfriend, we ask for two different cocktails, which is why I can assure you that I tested at least 16 different ...

Vacation August 20 to September 12 Sorry for the incoveniences
For gourmet food it is simply unbeatable for the price, excellent quality and good wines. You cannot get any better in Girona. Very good service , and the lunch time menu a treat. The deco is a fun mix of old and new. Go the extra mile (well, actually about half a kilometre from the centre!) well worth the short walk.
