If you are looking for a restaurant in George Town, Ontario with a unique atmosphere that serves delicious steaks, The Cellar is a great choice.
I ordered the New York Striploin and my husband chose to have the ribeye. Both of the steaks were cooked to perfection and the side dishes (roast potatoes and carrots) were tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary.
There was an extensive wine selection as well as some creative martinis. Fun dessert options were also available, including a s'mores dip (which took half an hour to receive).
Service was slow and not quite up to the standard I would have expected of a high
calibre restaurant. It appeared that there was a staff shortage. I would like to give the staff the benefit of the doubt.
The items on the menu are slightly expensive, but we found the prices to be fair, based on the quality.
If you are looking for a romantic spot to enjoy a dinner on a special occasion, I would recommend The Cellar.

Went here for dinner with my daughter. She one of the specials which was a chicken quesadilla and I had the bangers and mash. Both meals were hot and delicious. We were both hungry and the portion sizes were hearty. I was impressed with the quality of the dishes for what I considered to be 'pub food'. Would definitely return to try some different dishes that they don't serve at mainstream restaurants. Very traditional Irish food and well done!

We were in George Town over the holidays visiting family and we stopped in to the Georgeview Open Kitchen for breakfast one of those mornings. This place does a pretty darn good breakfast and they have a nice selection. I had my favourite classic Canadian breakfast, bacon with scrambled eggs and brown toast and it was generously portioned and very taste. I will be back to Georgeview Open Kitchen the next time we are in town and would recommend this place to anyone passing by.

Went here for a nice quiet Breakfast....or so we thought....
Service was slow as usual....but the MOST annoying thing was some kid BLASTING the most ANNOYING RAP "Music" I've ever heard! Who does that in a restaurant??? No one seemed to stop it either! I couldn't eat & get out of there fast enough!
We won't be back....not just for that reason. Last time we tried to go it says open at 7.....it was about 10 after and they hadn't opened yet......so we went to Georgeview!

Had a great experience at Lilly Thai last night for my Mom's birthday. Service was top-notch, both servers were extremely competent and fun. They even gave my Mom a free b-day dessert. Food was terrific - I had the Mango Salad & Red Curry Chicken with Coconut-steamed rice - both were very tasty and the red curry had the perfect level of spice. Liquor prices were very reasonable, particularly for the wine we ordered. Decent selection too. Nice decor and calming ambiance inside, and the front patio would be a must-do on a warmer evening. Plenty of parking out back and near-by. I will definitely be going back. Thanks!

Heather's is a bespoke bakery shop in George Town. Visitors are sure to find a baked good to satisfy any sweet tooth, or perhaps you're looking for something more savory like a soup & Sandwich. There's a large variety of baked goods, including gluten free options. I personally love the fruit scones, chocolate brownies, ginger cookies and the lemon & cranberry loaves. There are a variety of sandwiches (some premade for a quick grab & go), meat pies, etc. Frozen soup for home serving as well. Two small bistro tables & chairs available outside.

We are a southern style BBQ restaurant, offering pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken, all smoked "low and slow". If you'r in George Town you have to stop in and say hello, and try the BBQ that everyone is talking about.
A group of us were looking for a place to eat in George Town, and we decided on the Hungry Hollow Smokehouse and Grille... and we're glad that we did!
We tried the Monday Special of the Slider Trio (chicken, brisket, and pulled pork) with Hush Puppies served with homemade honey butter. The chicken was quite good, but the brisket and pulled pork were the stars of the show. The brisket slider was served in a tangy BBQ sauce that has a sweet and sharp flavour to it. The brisket was incredibly tender, and the pulled pork was smoked to perfection!
The Hush Puppies were made from fresh batter and deep fried to a create a perfect thin, crispy exterior, and perfectly cooked centre! Spread a little of the honey butter on it, and try not to eat all four of them!
Cap it all off with an ice cold Coke in the glass bottle!
The service was very friendly and attentive, and their decor and theme is fitting. You can easily tell that all the food is fresh, and that they care about the quality of the food they are serving.
Will definitely be going back for more!

We have been meaning to go here for 2 yrs as we'd heard so many gòod things about it. And it was worth the wait! We had spring rolls, veg pad thai and garlic veg stir fry in their 'famous sauce'. Super delicious, all of it. Considering I popped in around lunch time and had to save it for dinner when we both were home from work, essientially reheating it, and it was still amazing! Can barely imagine how more delicous it would have been if eaten right away. Yumm!
