It's a beautiful Resteraunt you can choose either ally or our beautiful sea balcony it's the oldest Resteraunt in ANDROS it's a family business three generations . You will tast our wonderful ANDROS local food ,with our local products .
We looked at this place mid morning and were encouraged to book a table for the evening, we declined. We did walk back in the evening to an all but empty restaurant and took a pavement table - not being aware of sea view sets,...MoreSorry that you were not satisfied, but the beef stifado how else is it to be served beef with baby onions ? Maybe next time you should call the owner and we would of explained,

The Kantouni is easily the best place in Batsi for good, wholesome traditional Greek home cooking. All sorts of excellent things - chicken in the oven with delicious spuds, lovely mousaka, small fish, a good Greek salad with local cheese, etc. Plus some surprising specials such as seafood risotto and top-quality fresh fish. All served with good humour by Georgos! This year we asked for a special dinner party for about 16 people to be laid on, and it was just lovely - we had a wonderful time. And there's always the lovely view over Batsi Bay... paradise!

The Dolphins restaurant is located in Andros in the beautiful seaside village of Batsi just above the sea road at the top of the double stairs. It's a family business operating since 1986. Enjoy traditional greek dishes, homemade specialities of Andros, a wide variety of seafood and more! Enjoy our house wine on the Terrace overlooking the yacht harbour and with a panoramic view of Batsi bay.
Dropped in for a meal following a flotilla of boats which had just arrived in the harbour, swamping all the local restaurants!
Despite the pressure, service was great, as usual with personal , friendly service from the owners.
Meal for four, including starters, wine, beer and dessert, totalled under 60e for another bargain meal with spectacular views over the harbour.
Great on all fronts, will be back soon!

Very good food on all counts; great starters, huge, delicious steaks, even better with the custom made peppercorn sauce, washed down with a couple of bottled mythos and a jug of house red, delicious!
Fantastic views over Batsi harbour and fast service made for a great night out, even if a little more expensive Han several of the other local restaurants at 40e per couple, but worth every penny, we will return!

Located just behind the ticket office for the ferry, not facing the sea but a nice little square. It was extremely windy so we had dinner inside. It is run by very nice young people and the menu offers delicious unusual tastes:I had the peas, potatoes and carrots with lemon sauce and then the chicken with pasta and curry sauce both very tasty and in generous portions. Around 30 euros for 2 adults and 1 child credit cards accepted and free wifi.

I live on Andros and like to eat at this family run taverna, on average once a month. It is on my list of "go to" tavernas to take visiting family & friends. Although the food takes a little time to be served, it is made from first principles and cooked fresh.
Staple favourites are the taramasalata, pickled octopus, grilled sea bream or sea bass and the gorgeous cooked red peppers. Lagoudera is extremely welcoming and well run by Angeliki and her husband Thanasis, who cooks all the fish superbly.
Be prepared for a gourmet feast and go hungry. The food is priced slightly over the average, but the quality and the experience make it well worth while.
Great sea views. Located next to the beach. Highly recommended. Give it a try!

It seems to be a fairly popular place. This is probably due to the combination of location and acceptable dishes, though by no means superb. Karavostasi features the standard seafood fare, plus some cooked dishes. The service is polite but slow, as the restaurant is understaffed. They could use some extra help during the peak season.

kosis is a tavern located in an isolated place... accessing it is not very difficult and it can be also found on google maps. Car can reach it easily. There is a farm with animals so its ideal for children. Service is good and amazingly fast... took them 5 minutes to bring starters. Food was ok but hobestly nothing special... we got tzatziki which was okish, fried zuchini which was also ok and fried cheese which was bad jn my opinion .. very hard and insanely salty. The meat however was amazing, would melt in your mouth! In the end they served us some yoghurt with honey and marmelade. Good experience but other than the meat nothing special.

΄Themelos΄ is a unique bistro in Batsi,Andros for our menu selections-always using extra fine local products in each vegetarian, seafood and meat delicacy we offer-and for the carefully chosen house wine and spirits! We are located at a renovated former onion warehouse, a building that dates back to 1913,facing a small alley at the heart of the village.Serving 09:30 AM-03:30 PM and 06:30 PM-01:00 AM.
Went for lunch for a change and enjoyed the food as always. This is not basic taverna food but a more sophisticated take which offers interesting combinations and is well-presented. The wine is fresh and served in wine glasses as opposed to tumblers.
The positioning of the restaurant is on a back street corner which gives the place a different atmosphere to that of the waterfront tavernas and bars.
It is not expensive (about 20€ a head) and definitely worth a visit.

Had a lovely meal here. The starters were excellent- we had sautéed mushrooms , baked saganaki and stuffed aubergine. Huge portions which on reflection were too big - consider sharing two between three. The stuffed squid was deemed very good by my companions but they both found the cheese sauce with fennel stuffing too rich and didn't think the flavour really went with the squid. My seafood risotto was very good indeed. Nice friendly service too !
