Garden City’s main attraction is the beach. Grab a boogie board and body surf on the waves, or build sand castles with the kids. For more exciting water fun, you can drive up the road to visit Myrtle Waves, a large water park with fun water slides and a lazy river. Adventurous adults can try parasailing above the ocean, and then relaxing with a fishing pole on the pier. There are so many things to do on the Grand Strand. Myrtle Beach has a new boardwalk and attractions including a giant Ferris wheel. You can visit Ripley's Believe It or Not museum and see the oddities, play in an arcade game, or get a hot dog from Peaches Corners. If you travel to Broadway at the Beach, you have a wide choice of restaurants including Margaretville, owned by Jimmy Buffett. There is also mini golf, a movie theater, and countless shops. Seafood is the order of the day in the Grand Strand and one of the finest seafood restaurants around is located right in Garden City, maybe even in walking distance of your vacation rental. Sara J's is located right on the marsh, and if the weather is good, you can enjoy your meal outside on the deck. There are numerous restaurants up and down the Strand offering a myriad of choices. The Carolina Opry, Legends in Concert, and the House of Blues all provide live entertainment. You can find clubs to go dancing or quiet little bars to have a drink.

What an awesome meal. This is an authentic Italian, several course meal, so don't let the "Mediterranean" fool you (I wasn't exactly sure what they meant by Mediterranean so at first I didn't want to go there). Everything was so tasty we are definitely putting this into the rotation for our annual myrtle beach golfing outing.
Our server was very attentive and friendly. The place is small so the tables were a little closer together than I am usually comfortable with but the food made up for that.
Their salad dressing was very good, the garlic bread was amazing and the marinara sauce on the chicken parm and lasagna was oh so good.

Don't let the cheesy exterior fool you, this place is authentic Italian fare. Once inside, the atmosphere screams Italy. It is family owned and the waitstaff prides themselves on knowing how each dish is created. Music by an excellent Italian singer who played the piano...MoreThank you for stopping by! Thank you for taking the time to review us! We apologize about the noise, sometimes it is hard to control. Hope to see you back again soon!

We came here to Garden City Krispy Kreme because we were craving HOT doughnuts, but they are misleading! They are not a full size Krispy Kreme shop. The doughnuts not done in a fryer here. They are heated up in a over and then go through a glaze. So they are not HOT, they are warm at best!

Twisters is a GREAT little ice cream shop, and I do mean little. It is tasty, but a bit pricey and can get BUSY during the summer.

Very creative plates with wonderful combinations of savory flavors. Service Staff gave a detailed description of dishes and responsive service. Little did I know what a treat I was in for while visiting friends in the area. Best meal I consumed in my 5 day visit.

Small owner operated restaurant with made to order burgers, seafood, salads, steaks and homemade desserts. B.Y.O.B.
Such a cozy, welcoming place. Real hospitality. GREAT FOOD. They treat everyone like family. A delightful experience every time. Very inexpensive, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions. You can't go wrong here. Check the specials board...Ric usually has something seasonal and tempting in addition to the extensive regular menu. And ask what desserts Mimi made for the day.

The yogurt and fresh toppings are top quality at Froyoz... I highly recommend a visit. However, I think what really makes a difference at Froyoz is the friendly and welcoming spirit each and every time I've stepped in and filled a cup... everyone has been so nice and helpful. The frozen yogurt and all of the flavors and toppings are great...but, it's the folks behind the counter that make this place the Best of the Best in the Grand Strand. By far, my favorite!

My dad and I had a hot fudge sundae, my grandma had key lime, mom had pistachio and kids had waffle cones, one with vanilla and one with chocolate. Everyone loved theirs! We will be back.

Saw review for homemade ice cream. TA rated this high so we checked it out. Very plain underwhelming decor. I didn't see anything that really screamed they make their own ice cream. Different flavors in big buckets but I'd suspect they buy from a distributor. They had several flavors and some unique special. I had Oreo Surprise which was crushed Oreos, chocolate fudge, chocolate ice cream and whip cream. It was very rich but again, not overwhelming. $5.
Not a memorable experience. Just blah.
