I phoned in my first order May 31st/17 after hearing rave reviews and Reading other reviews on TA. I arrived early before the order was ready and added a large Caesar Salad to my combination Hawaiian and Royal large pizza. Greeted by most friendly staff and I was offered a complimentary while I was waiting. The drive home made me crazy with anticipation as the aroma filled my car with promises of what I was about to eat. There was no disappointment with this one. No overwhelming taste of sauce and just the right and equal amount of flavorful ingredients. The crust was light and I didn't have the feeling I going to end up with a stomach full of baked dough. Good job. I'll be back to try some of your other menu items. I also learned on the 2 for 1 offer that your can for the most part switch for other options which would be paying the highest price point of one of the items. Confirm that first as I could be mistaken. Also excellent website.

Have you tried "The Original Double Dog" ? I did and fell for it.
We drove from Fort McMurray to visit our son, and were hungry by the time we reached after a leisurely drive along Highway 881 and enjoying the scenic beauty of Lac La Biche. He took us to Original Joes. I ordered fish and chips, but changed my mind and ordered The Original Double Dog instead, following my son.
It arrived at our table wearing an enticing look. I was happy to note that it didn't look like a run of the mill hot dog. As I held it, I was delighted to see both ends of the wieners protruding out of the baguette (I don't like patties or dogs hiding between the buns).
And then I took the first bite and fell in love with it right away. The wieners, split into halves, were butterfried to perfection and the baguette with the sauces were providing ideal support. And fried onions were a bonus.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, until the last bite. My wife is a small eater and she ordered a Chicken Tostada Salad. The portion was huge and to my utter surprise, she emptied the bowl.
It was a wonderful dining experince at OJs at Fort Saskatchewan !

Our hockey team heads here to grab beer and appies. There's always lotsa room for all of us. The menu is quite varied so you can always find something to eat.
The Bears Den holds a lot of community events. Great to see for a local, non-chain pub.

The fish was nice crispy batter & amazing "pub style large home made fries" . These signature fries were amazing. Hope the management continues to make these , cuz on our first visit, a couple of months ago, they used regular type fries, similar to what other restaurants serve. ( ie: the boring ones that look like frozen Mc cain fries) My hubby ordered "veal cutlets with gravy, however, there was not enough gravy on it. We asked the nice waitress for more gravy & she came bk with a bowl of it. We figured she would likely charge us, but she did not. That's good customer service on her part , cuz she likely recognized the cook cheaped out on the gravy portion ! . Prices are very reasonable and a good variety of entrees & home made comfort food.

There is a fairly extensive menu, including pasta, pizza, Italian dishes and others like ribs, etc. All wines are available by the glass and there is a good variety to choose from. It is reasonably priced, the food arrived hot in a timely manner and the service was attentive when we first arrived but after our food arrived, the server seemed to ignore us. More consistent service would have earned a little higher rating.

Tuesday December 19/17 and it's cold outside (don't sit close to the door) and we decide this would be the place for lunch. As always we were not disappointed by the service, food and friendly atmosphere you find in this wonderful establishment. There was a bit of confusion on one of the orders and our very efficient server rectified this within minutes. As we were another couple catching up with family and friend relationships were were never once given that are you ever going to leave attitude. So after conversing and eating for 21/2 hours, we left with a great feeling about having chosen the Downtown Diner for our annual Christmas lunch.

not the ideal vietnamese restaurant.
service is slow and the options are limited.
been a few times with groups of people. and every time at least one person had to wait till everyone was done to get their item.
food tastes OK, and considering the lack of options in the city, its not too bad.

We went in here and they were serving a buffet at the time which we really did not want. They were very accommodating and seated us in the restaurant letting us order from the menu. The food was delicious and ourserver was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We appreciated their willingness to prepare dishes the way we wanted them.

I've given this place 4 tries. the food is ok. some interesting rolls, not my personal favorite but decent. Do not go here if you dont have at least 2 hours to eat. I've left during a meal, drove someone to Edm Airport and back to pick up the rest of my meal.

Our one-of-a-kind Canadian themed sports bar & grill has an extensive menu of appetizers, entrees, drinks and amazing specials every night of the week. You’ll note our Canadian decor starts right when you walk up to our huge Inukshuk at our doors and continues throughout the restaurant in a “cheeky” Canadian fashion. We promise, when you come to The Canadian Brewhouse, you’ll instantly feel at home, because our house is your house…only we have way more TVs! You won’t find a better selection of screens anywhere for the sports you love! We even provide tabletop speakers for those nights when multiple sports and teams are playing. Our house is your house.
I would say this establishment caters more to the sports/drinking clientele instead of families. The cavernous interior leads to a very noisy environment that may go well with the myriad of sports being displayed on the numerous TV screens. Service was fast with the food...MoreThank you so much for your input. We really appreciate you letting us know how you feel. Would you mind emailing me at Chad[email protected] so we can follow up? We really do take your opinions very seriously.
