Restaurant in the hotel with the same name. See website.
It is one of the cheap and best hotels in the middle of Fort Portal town. It is located on the highway that runs through the town as you head to Kasese. I loved the food that was offered but was rather disappointed by the entertainment that people wanted to enjoy in a night club.

Went to visit for afternoon tea with colleagues. Ndali Lodge has a timeless quality that gives the impression that it has been there forever. The style is very much 'old colonial' and the waiting staff behave more like butlers than waiters. One could spend a most agreeable few days here imagining that you have been transported back to a different era.

Dutchess restaurant combines the fresh products Fort Portal has to offer with home made dairy. Our excellent international cuisine serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are a trendsetter in Fort Portal. The first to make real pizza, cappuccino, home made ice cream, crocodile meat, porterhouse steak. We will continue to innovate. You can enjoy the food outside in the luscious garden, on the covered Terrace or in the lounge. On cold days you can sit next to a warm and cosy fireplace in the restaurant. The garden is visited by many birds. You can see the Great blue Turaco, Ross' Toraco, sunbirds, African Harrier Hawk and many others. Even in the garden Wifi is available.
The inside looked very attractive, but as we were a large group, we ate on a Terrace at the back, which was spacious and airy. The food was excellent, and one of my companions was beside himself with delight when he found his favourite South African red on the wine list! Service was quite relaxed.

We arrived from Semuliki park the "Ugandan Birding haven, after a full day trip in the Congo forest extension., this was a special trip mixed with camping and staying more with nature around! we dubbed the trip off the beaten track, this was like the mid point after trotting from Murchison falls..
With my 3 Belgian young men we got a tip off that there is something in town to rekindle our trip with some night out in Fort Portal...
Normally i just drive out of Fort Portal town to the Kibale forest or to Queen Elizabeth but with after this great experience i plan to gel this in our Experience Uganda Safaris from then on..
The bar was nice, well equipped, good food, well flavored spiced African tea!
the best thing that caught
Our eyes after the bush camping days in this area was the set up of the facility, a compound with a bar, wild plantain plants, flowers with cozy settings for Seating the choice of painting and lightint.. Fantastic charm.. looking forward to come back..

If you are craving some Mexican food or if burritos are something that you've never heard of, EcoBurrito is the place to visit. We take familiar Ugandan foods--rice, beans, avocados, and chapatis--and make them into something "new": burritos! In addition to our focus on making the best burrito this side of the Sahara, we are committed to the community and the environment. Our vision is to give all profits to wildlife and ecosystem conservation projects in and around Kibale National Park. "Eat burritos, not bushmeat!" Enjoy EcoBurrito after tracking chimpanzees at Kanyanchu or seeing monkeys and birds on the Bigodi Wetland Walk. Call ahead to place your order or just stop in!

Having invested a week in trying all the coffee in Fort Portal, Cafe Linah is definitely the best. It is also the most expensive, coming in at 7000Ush for a latte. The staff are very friendly and the lunch food is good but the baking is not always great. Wifi is intermittent as it is everywhere in town but when it's working it is fast.

We had several lunches, and found the food very good. The buffet had a good selection including local foods, and was certainly the quickest option. Service is very proper and deliberate, drinks arriving on a tray carried one handed at shoulder height by very well presented waiting staff. There's a nice shaded Terrace to eat on.
