Fun place, great food and atmosphere. Happy and efficient staff, always a good sign. Recommended by Helga and John of Les Sapiens (B & B).

This restaurant doen't necessarily look too promising from the outside, where it sits on a busy road going into Foix town and next to a nightclub. However, it is worth persisting and knocking on the door (it was a little stiff and we thought they were shut!), as the view from the inside is an amazing one of the very pretty Foix Castle.
In addition to that, you have a great menu and some delicious food! We had eaten here while in Foix a few years ago and made a beeline back here for a second go and were not disappointed. The food was beautiful, with desserts seeming to be a particular speciality.

I was visiting Foix with my wife and we saw plenty of good looking options to eat. This place seemed to be good and we were very glad to choose it. For a 16 euros menu each, we got a marvelous plate and dessert, along with a very reasonable cup of red wine, all very well presented and definitely of good quality. We would certainly recommend it.

On the day visited this was one of the few restaurants open. Don't know why. Must have been one of those obscure French holiday days !!. We chose the a la Carte menu and wanting to be adventurous I chose something I had never ordered before. Didn't have a clue what was coming !! Bad choice ....it was offal. I couldn't eat it and left the plate full. The waiter was insistant that I choose something else so I went safely for a steak which was excellent. Surprising they did not charge me for the offal. Well recommended and bon appetit !!

We visited at lunch. Restaurant very crowded, which seemed a good sign. Excellent service. Menu looked promising. I chose a starter followed by home made hamburger but was told would be too much. Was glad of the advice. Hamburger was good but I was dissapointed to find the cheese on top was out of the packet and yellow. Chips were home made which is unusual in this part of France. My husband had a soup starter. It was tomato but it did not taste of fresh tomatoes. His steak was excellent but with an enormous portion of rather dry looking mashed potato. We had a lemon pie pudding which we shared and that was truly excellent.
I might go again but did not live up to expectations.

Small but lively Spanish tapas style menu restaurant.
Impromptu evening with friends, and we all had a brilliant meal. Very friendly service, the Spanish cook even sat down at the table to talk to us about the dishes. The whole place has a very casual and friendly atmosphere. ( The plastic tablecloths are possibly a touch too casual ).
We just ordered a range of tapas from the blackboard , and were delighted. Sangria and a lot of jugs of house wine made for a jolly evening with some lovely food.
Plenty of non meat options.

This restaurant is a must for the visitors to Foix. The Chef is Brazilian and a true artiste! His Ravioli and Tiramisu are to die for! They also serve a Brazilian cocktail...... very, very nice and very strong!
The front of house (his Wife) has just the right mix of being helpful, not too pushy and a delight to talk to.
Definitely worth a visit!! ENJOY

Un accueil chaleureux et convivial des assiettes goûteuses et plaisante. Une ambiance sympathique. Un très bon moment avec des produits faits maison.

Having been to Morocco often and enjoyed eating the food from market stalls and fine restaurants, I am very familiar with the authentic taste of Berberine cuisine. In London, Bath and Bristol I have also dined at Moroccan style restaurants, but outside of Marrakech itself, I have never dined as sumptuously as at L'atlas in Foix.
Presentation, ambiance, conviviality and quality of fare were all excellent.
As authentic a presentation as it is possible to deliver, outside of Morocco - highly recommended.

The restaurant "La Ciboulette" has opened its doors after a long period of renovation to invite you to travel far away and not so far - with a real paella always on the menu... Only 2 km from the centre of Foix, in the direction of St Pierre-de-Riviere, its peace and quiet will seduce you. With parking, an open fire place for cold days and a covered Terrace for warmer evenings - welcome!
Beautiful summer-like weather in mid October provided the perfect excuse to seat our group outside instead of in the restaurant’s small dining room. There was a plastic roof overhead to protect us from direct sun and/or a possible sudden change in the weather. There was a set menu for our group but our diet restriction was accommodated graciously with a different main course. The food and wine and service were all very good. The star of the meal, though, was the tiramisu with a decoration on each plate.
