Faro is the best-known city in Portugal’s deservedly famous Algarve region. There’s an archaeological museum and a “Bishops’ Palace,” a Renaissance cathedral that was heavily bombed during World War II, but later rebuilt. Nearby in Estoi are Roman ruins, and Albufeira, also nearby, is a formerly quaint fishing village influenced by the Moors in the 8th century. It’s situated in a cliffside location, and has become famous for its beaches (there are 20) and nightlife.

We stumbled upon this city centre, cheap and cheery veggie restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. The 'come again' lunch buffet is excellent value - 6 euros per person! - and it was nice to have some tofu stew, greens, veggie lasagna and fresh salads. A fantastic find.

We are a traditional Algarve restaurant with homemade food made on the spot, which takes your preparation time, we do not have lunches or group dinners without prior appointment with the presence of the person live, we have many taste to serve well in a quiet space, everything for an experience in our traditional, to our tourists desire a good holiday and be welcome.
Thank God for TripAdvisor, we would never have found this place in a quiet little road, but very close to Eva hotel where we stayed.
Wonderful home made food with a massive amount of shellfish in tasty but not heavy sauces. I got fed up with deep fried tapas rissoles and patties. Honestly i prefer the Italian ones.
So I was so glad that in this restaurant you could have rice dishes, meat, fish. Lovely jug of wine and just look at my photo for the portions, 2/3 people could have had the shellfish rice dish i had! The service was quick, we were offered a free taster and a digestive liquor made with almonds to finish . Lovely staff, warm deco and very highly recommended.

I visited Paparazzi yesterday with my fiancée to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived we were instantly impressed. We both ordered bruschetta to start and it was absolutely gorgeous (better than I have ever eaten in Italy) For main course my fiancé ordered the steak which he devoured and claimed it was one of the nicest steaks he has eaten- big statement considering he was eating steak at world renowned Gallaghers Las Vegas just last week. I ordered Calazone which was huge- would easily feed two people, it was beautiful and I would recommend it to anybody. Deserts were equally as lovely as our first two courses, I ate the chocolate cake which was to die for! My fiancé got the strawberry icecream and said it tasted amazing! The price of the bill was so cheap, all of the above food plus 2 drinks each totalled €52.40!All in all Paparazzi provided a flawless experience end to end and it will encourage me to return to Faro in the future.

Third time lucky! Failed to find it on first visit. Closed for a feast day on second visit. Third visit worked well! Amazing food and delightful hospitality. Bread and trimmings, camaroes a gimbras, porco a castanas and pernil mains. Beautiful food and worth the wait. Very happy we persevered.

This is a fairly small and popular restaurant so best to book. The food is excellent - all freshly cooked by the two chefs and has interesting Portuguese dishes. 2 tapa each was sufficient for us so the cost is very reasonable for such lovely food.

Just happened across this place for an evening meal whilst strolling around the local area.
Extremely friendly staff were helpful and made us very welcome.
The menu was a choice of various tapas (albeit shorter than other places) which were quickly prepared and served.
Very tasty!
The venue itself is typically Portuguese with a quirky twist, run by young and keen staff.
A pianist entertained whilst eating, with subtle and enjoyable music.
Prices are very reasonable - €5 / dish, with a glass of wine around €3.
Overall very enjoyable.
Would recommend for a casual and low key meal in a friendly and relaxed environment.

The Bolo do Caco is a wheat bread, traditional from Madeira island, with a round, flattened shape, made on a stone. Caco, the Original is a coffee snack with very national products, with high quality: Bolo do Caco (which can be enjoyed in many ways), Caco custard tart and now Bolo Lêvedo. Caco, the Original aims to expand the country and the world, making known its main products, always focusing on quality.
Really good place to grab a burger and a beer.....the food was actually good and we had wonderful service...

Steakhouse whith the best meat, national and international. Kitchen open 8.30am till 11 pm
Went to Faaron steakhouse for Valentine's day and my wife ordered tenderloin Portuguese style steak medium rare and twice they overcooked it. It was well done and i don't think the chef knew how to cook it any other way. You're best getting the tenderloin with a hot stone and cooking the steak yourself but that comes with some crappy chips and a salad. The service was slow and the prices were too high for the quality of the food. Even though by the end they did not charge us for the Portuguese style steak (because my wife didn't eat it) the bill still went over €60.
