In the summer of 2014, this "outfit"
moved to Beach 87th Street between Beach Channel Drive and Rockaway Freeway (closer to the Freeway). More room to sit and enjoy (and wait for) the food. Fish tacos are the best anywhere and chorizo tacos (I'm told) are great too, both at $3.50....Drinks- juices are creative (lemon mint, watermelon, etc) but not cheap $5....guava and chips are amazing, sides like spicy cucumber and jicama are delicious......small bar right next door with adjoining entry. Locals (like me) are jealous this is only open May-early fall and lines can get long during busy beach days. Parking at a premium.

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of one of our party. We had a reservation but were taken approximately 30 minutes later.
Several different dishes were ordered, however of the dishes, three came in missing items or special requests. My chicken valdestano was loaded with flour filled gravy and very tasteless and unappealing. Other's in my party felt the same way I did with an assortment of entrees. I had asked for pasta and parmesan cheese. The waiter spilled tablespoons of cheese in my lap. The evening seemed to be a fiasco.
Service was abrupt and non attentive. Even the head waiter who had taken some of the orders couldn't keep things straight.
I have written many reviews, most with happy endings. I can only say, I will not return to this restaurant anytime soon.

My wife and I took my mom here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the food, and generous portions, along with very good service despite being understaffed. I say that because they had two party's going on at the time of our arrival with only one server, who was trying his best to provide good service but needless to say it was an obvious challenge for him.
This is a glatt kosher deli which are becoming more and more scarce these days. Wife and I both started off with chicken matzoh ball soup. It was excellent with a good tasting broth filled with carrots, chicken and a large but light and fluffy matzoh ball. My hot pastrami, corned beef sandwich on rye was delicious and stacked high, as was my moms schnitzel sandwich which came with home made hand cut fries. My wife had a large portioned tip of the tounqe which was lean and according to her very tasty. And of course they placed nice sized bowls of fresh coleslaw and pickles on the table, when we arrived. An excellent meal and the prices were moderate.

Lucky Boy Restaurant has served The 5 Towns in the South Shore of Long Island and surrounding areas for over 30 years. From authentic Greek-Mediterranean cuisine to American classics and everything in between. Leave room for our homemade cakes, pastries and tarts that are the talk of the county! Also try our other restaurant Yiasou Cafe, which is located in Sullivan County, NY.
Five of us came here for a birthday celebration. Although there is not much ambiance or parking , this place makes up for it in friendliness and yumminess! I highly recommend the stuffed eggplant and any of their desserts. There aren't many tables and it can be a bit of a tight squeeze but it is worth it!

Upper Crust, a popular Italian, Kosher restaurant first opened its doors in Cedarhurst, NY in March 2011 and has become a legend-dairy destination.
Pleasant staff. Not always attentive. Average
Food is decent. I'm not blown away by it. Average.
Portions seem to subtly shrink while prices don't.
A pleasant experience overall but not spectacular.
Would I go back ? Sure
Would I wait on line to be seated? No.

Estava na praia e bateu a fone na turma. Dez minutinhos de caminhada e logo depois todos estavam a beira do bar comendo donuts e bebendo chas e smoothies. Muito bom

A reasonably good choice for a quick bagel and coffee. I think most of their business comes from commuters about to hop on the express buses (they have a tv screen showing approaching buses so you know when to run for it!). So they're pretty efficient. Bagels, multiple spreads, bagel sandwiches. Try the homemade bagel chips, if they have bags of them out; only $1 or 2 for a big bag, and they were great snacks and great for feeding birds on the beach.
Sure, I've had better bagels in Manhattan. But I think these are the best bagels in Rockaway Beach.

We had been there before but usually for take away.
The service was very good as was the food.
It's a bit chilly in there in the summer so bring a sweater to keep warm.
It's a bit pricey but there was at of food so we took as much home as we ate there.
Please hit helpful. And enjoy

Diner Resteraunt serving the community for over 50 years. 15 Minute Drive form NY JFK Airport (5 miles)
Went to breakfast with my girlfriend. She is very fussy but gave her meal the thumbs up. I had a roll with two friend eggs and a large tomato juice.
Before we left I had to use the bathroom, as did my partner. To my glee it was spotless. I shared this with the manager.
I go here for lunch every three months with my good friend Jamie. We enjoy the company and the food. Service of course depends on your server.
No problem with the sherwood. They even let my cousin play mah jong in the back room.
A vestige if the glory days of goodfellas.
