Our food is delicioso, simple and unpretentious, always fresh and homemade.
Wonderful food and fun. Great place to gather for a drink or dinner or both. Even though I don't dine here each trip I make home, it's nice to know it's still there and the food has never dissapiointed me. Looking forward to my next trip.

a nice option for breakfast in Fairlee. It gets crowded as people tend to linger, but is worth the wait. Good hearty breakfast (including home made bagels) and great pancakes (but this is VT, they should only serve pure maple syrup, instead of charging extra to substitute the real thing for fake syruo)

Our goal at Ariana's is to offer a range of menu choices reflecting the many different palates and we feel there is something on our menu for most people. Our menu focuses on seasonal, quality and local (as much as possible during the different seasons) ingredients.
We recently stayed at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee Vt and were looking for a nice restaurant nearby. Although the selections were limited we decided to try Ariana's in Orford New Hampshire located about 5 miles from the hotel. The restaurant is located on a farm in nicely converted farm building. The atmosphere is very pleasant with an open kitchen where you can sit and chat with the chef and staff.
So let's get to the food. It was outstanding! Chef Martin prepares a variety of menu choices that will please just about anyone. We started off with a mushroom crepe that was to die for. So flavorful that I savored every bite. For a main course I had a special of Portuguese seafood stew made with cod fish, chorizo, red bliss potatoes, bok choy in a very savory light broth. Absolutely delicious! My wife have two succulent petite filet mignon that were cooked to perfection. Don't pass up desert because you will not be disappointed. I had a trio of creme delicious brule (mint, vanilla and a third I cannot remember). My wife had a wonderful apple crisp with vanilla gelato.
The staff was excellent. Very pleasant, very helpful as was chef Martin. Chef Martin will likely come to your table to welcome you and chat about his love of cooking.
A great experience overall.

When out exploring VT on mini-roadtrips with my mom, Isabell's is one of our favorite stops. We've probably been five or six times in the past three years. I've only had breakfast there, which is always tasty, with plentiful coffee refills. While the small menu has pretty standard fare, we really like the atmosphere. Bright, little curtains on the windows and so many locals eating there always remind us of traveling in Ireland. Isabell's has the same homey, comfortable feel.
[One downside: our clothing often smells greasy when we leave; maybe something to do with their kitchen's ventilation.]

This ice cream place is attached to the local general store. It is great and the ice cream servings are reasonably priced and the largest we have seen.
They sell Gifford's hard ice cream which is a good quality. They give fair portions for a fair price. It is also conveniently located.

RE: A new bar set in Bar-B-Q! Beautiful BBQ in Vermont....oh yes
Absolutely the BEST ribs I EVER had ! ....from Maine to Florida and west to the wrong coast... Stayed at the Rest n' Nest campground in my camper... off exit 14 RTE 91...((East Thetford; east of the highway) and discovered this gem. The ribs were so good I made up a flyer and distributed it to 'some' of the campers. The people in the adjacent campsite went, were equally impressed...one stated the pulled-pork was the best they ever had. Asking the owner about this enterprise he stated he attended Newberry College in Boston and then sought employment as a CHEF in various restaurant. Unfortunately restaurants come-n-go and after being employed at a few, left to create his own business.... The ribs were of perfection...the flavor was actually complex....sweet and various flavors course across your tongue .... pure heaven. ...an explosion of delightful flavors....perfect consistency....simply wonderful....blissI ...Went 3 days in a row! ...the chicken drum-sticks were scrumptious... Do you want the best of the best? Vermont is the host to so many gastric indulgences BUT THESE BBQ Ribs have redefined mmm mmm mmm

This little seasonal Ice Cream and snack shed is a wonderful find !!! The owners are a young family and this place is very family friendly. They offer true VERMONT FARM MADE ICE CREAM from the Kingdom County Creamery from Hardwick VT !!! Also serving a REAL VERM0NT CREAM "Creamee " Soft Serve !! Rich,Real, Delicious. Banana Splits.....WOW !! Good selection of burgers, hotdogs, fries, chicken tenders, etc etc.also. We stopped by on our way back to Maine ,where "snack shacks" are everywhere but this one absolutely ranks very very high on our MUST STOP LIST !!! This is obviously the locals favorite so travelers should check it out too !! We will definitely be back .

Whippi dip looks trashy but in fact has quite good options
Ice cream is fabulous and our staple with high quality super large portions
They lost their soft serve option
Food is freshly prepared and one should know at a "food stand" what works- treat it like a diner
Breakfast sandwiches are yummy
Good greasy lunch options - it's got a grill so go with the grill!

Bring an appetite, I ordered a sub and it weighed about two pounds. built with a pile of meat, fresh veggies, and bacon, I somehow managed to eat it all. You also have to try the hand cut fries that are double fried leaving a crisp outside with a tender middle. Some of the best fries I have ever had. Takeout only, but there are picnic tables outside to eat at.
