We happened to chance upon this restaurant while passing and decided to try it. We appreciated the amuse bouche served at the start and I followed this with the most delicious lobster soup. For the main course, I had steak that was amazingly tender, accompanied by mushroom sauce, frites and vegetables. I had no room for dessert. The ambience was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. Not the cheapest eating place in Ghent, but well worth paying the extra for.

We were three couples led by a Gent resident and picked the chef’s menu: 6 course with cheese and mouth tuning to move on. Got red and white wine, and zoooom! It’s not easy to please a group of extensive travel experience and taste adventures, but literally everyone praised the food. I had entrecôte to perfection, and loved the Dutch and French cheese variety for desert. Service was excellent and helped the conversation flow, with no diversion or displeasure. The dinner was as surprisingly good and the city of Gent!

A bit hidden small restaurant with Asian food in combination with Western touches. You need to make Reservations ahead because it is always booked. The host and cook always given you a big smile and loud laughter, which gives that little extra. Very nice dishes and well balanced in spice sand curry. I was very happy with the beef salad as starter, chicken in green curry as main course and panna cotta as desert. I surely will come back to this Asian pearl.

Nice young couple recently took it over and made a great little restaurant!
We had, as expected, again a very good meal. The new location is even better, the food is still delicious and service seems less nervous / more mature, and the location itself is very nice with a rather private terras.
The way of working is still the same- very limited choice, but everything you get is excellent.

We ate here while visiting Ghent. We had never seen a soup "fast food" restaurant before but our experience was very good. Excellent prices, tasty and healthy food and friendly staff. The place is small so you may have to wait to eat, but I think it's really worth it. Perfect for december cold. You get bread and butter and a few extras and sauces for free with the soup. I recommend the Thai one!

Dishes are very good! Of course they are looking for perfection, and the dishes are of top quality , fine presented , but if you compair with other star restaurants there is still a way to go.Basic Ingredients are not só expensive, but the end result for sure is!
For me it was a one go experience.

Small intimate restaurnt in the village of Lovendegem (20 minutes from Ghent).
I have been here a few times, and the menu is varied, creative and the food well prepared.
Service is friendly and efficient. Restaurant has recently been expanded to give a more spatious feel. Nice Terrace out back for summer dining.
The lunch reccomendation is a good value option.

We went to Brasserie Louloudi when we had a nights stop in Lovendegem on a cold and wet November evening. We hadn't booked and when we went into the restaurant and saw so many tables marked as reserved we were worried they wouldn't be able to fit us in. Thankfully they were able and we had one of the best meals we have ever had anywhere.
We ordered a Chateaubriand. They asked whether we wanted a sauce or in its own juices and we're so glad we chose to have it in its juices because it was so flavoursome. A gorgeous salad and wonderful frites accompanied the meal which was cooked perfectly.
All through the meal the staff were friendly and attentive and didn't laugh (too) much at my attempts to speak Dutch. Luckily they spoke fluent English. There is nothing I could pick out and say "ought to do this to improve". The meal was that good - probably the best steak I have ever eaten in my entire life and my wife and I will certainly return!

Maybe not the absolute top but certainly a good restaurant. Nice atmosphere, food for foodies, original interior and casual but professional service. We still like it a lot after four visits. Is there room for improvement, yes (e.g. main course form menu wasn't the best in the build up) but in general considering the value for money this place deserves it's Michelin star. If you want to fill your belly, there's an excellent kebab across the bridge but if you want modern fine dining Publiek is one many great restaurants in Ghent!
