much better value than larger markets like Weis. daily meals offered which are a decent, if not great, value. variety of subs & salads sold in meat area. chicken, especially wings, great -- favorite of my wife. daily meals vary w/ most being quite tasty. best take-out value around. baked goods are good & fair value. offer whole wheat as well as "white bread." deli is quite complete. NO PROVISION FOR EATING IN!!!!!! carry out subs & sandwiches are much better than Sheetz. They now offer breakfast sandwiches, competitive w. Mickey D's.

Best Way Pizza is a clean, popular restaurant with daily specials, good selection of pizza & subs & prompt service. The 2 subs for $11.99 special - choice of hot or cold, was very good. The Italian & Pizza steak were excellent choices. Good spot for couples, families or groups. Tip - try the pepperoni balls!

An intimate full service restaurant, serving New American cuisine using only the freshest ingredients. Featuring unique pasta and seafood dishes.
While on a recent business trip to Breezewood, PA (and desperately trying to avoid chain restaurants), I dined with a small group of colleagues. The 10/09 Kitchen was a short drive from our hotel in a cute town called Bedford. We were greeted right away and sat immediately. It was a very nice, cozy location on a quiet Tuesday night. There were other diners, but it wasn't crowded and our server was very attentive. The owners both paid us a visit to our table. We spoke at length with Sarah, in fact. She was very pleasant, welcoming, and even helpful to us out-of-towners with recommendations for other restaurants closer to our destinations. Her husband, the chef, was very grateful for our compliments on the food. You can tell he's passionate about the simplicity of his seasonal menu. Service was top notch.
The menu was simple, and straight forward. I ordered the roasted cauliflower soup, five cheese ravioli with sundried tomato sauce, and ended the night with a chai tea latte. All were delicious! The food was not heavy and it was just the right proportion size. The prices were maybe a little on the higher side, but that's to be expected with this quality of dining. It's worth it.
Because this was a business dinner, we asked for a split check. They were more than accommodating. If I am ever in this area again, I would absolutely return.

A convenient coffee shop located on the corner of Richard and Pitt Streets in downtown Bedford. There is a parking lot across the street. Hebrews has a nice variety of Latte and Expresso coffees and 3 selections of international coffees that changes daily. There is also a selection of teas for the non-coffee drinkers. There were pastries and bagels to go with your beverage. The blueberry muffins, that I can attest to, were delicious. The pastries are homemade by local artisan. Besides the Christmas decorations that were hung in both sitting areas, there were burlap bags, that at one time contained coffee beans, that are now tacked to the walls. A great place to watch the news, read your newspaper, or catch up on your emails as you sip your Hebrews coffee.

We serve subs and sandwiches made exclusively with Boar's Head brand meats and cheeses. We also serve soups, salads, and our customer-favorite cheesesteaks!
Many businesses succeed by simplifying their formula. That's surely Subplicity's goal. Things have been stripped down to only a few sandwiches with few options. It was too simple for us: we weren't attracted to any of the options, and it seemed like we would have a bit of a wait to get something.

I gather that principals are mother/ daughter. Both are very pleasant w/ customers & service a good honest menu. If one wishes some accommodation one need only to ask.

AT OUR TRATTORIA...the food is traditional Italian. There is no menu, the service is casual and the price is fixed. Everyone is seated at the same table where five different courses are served. We begin dinner with an appetizer, followed by the first dish (pasta or risotto), second dish accompanied by a side (pork, beef, chicken, lamb, salmon... it depends on what we feel like cooking that night!!!), then we finish the meal with a delightful cheese plate including pairings, dessert and espresso. The dinner is perfectly complimented by a bottle of your favorite wine, which our guests are encouraged to bring. Although we do not provide the wine, we will happily make suggestions about what to bring to accompany that night's meal. We do not charge a corking fee. Every night is a unique and wonderful trip for the senses, showcasing the different flavors and traditions of Italy. The cost is $55.00 per person with service included. Our menu changes for each dinner, so please let us know when making your reservations if you have any questions or if you have any dietary restrictions that we should be aware of. Due to limited seating, reservations are required and we recommend making your arrangements several weeks in advance. In addition to our weekly Trattoria, LIFeSTYLE is available for your private events and parties any night of the week except Saturdays, which we reserve for our weekly dinner. For parties of ten or more, the price is $55 per person and we can accommodate up to twenty-two people per event. We generally serve a five course, fixed menu dinner as described above, but we are always willing to customize the meal to best suit your special event.
We were visiting relatives on the east coast, and spent a couple of days around Bedford & Somerset Counties. Found a treasure in LIFeSTYLE. A shop specializing in Italian foods including meats, cheeses, pastas and oils, they serve trattoria style meals on Friday and Saturday...MoreThank you so much for your review and I hope to see you back soon!

Whoever wrote good reviews for this place--I assume they are friends and/or family members--truly did a disservice to unwary travelers (like us.) Nice people, but the food is miserable. This isn't "down home" cooking. It's either poorly-prepared or straight out of a can/mix.
There is no scenic view, either, btw.
As for the graham cracker pie. No. It's just vanilla pudding (from a mix, I'd say) on top of a graham cracker crust--and even that isn't prepared correctly.
I guess if you are starving, this food will suffice, but otherwise...hold on for a bit longer if you can.

I'm a foodie and always plan my trips around the best spots to eat; rarely does TA steer me wrong. However, I will say the Crystal Room was a huge disappointment! My husband and I both had the buffet and it was extremely lackluster.
It was essentially an overpriced continental breakfast. =( There was cereal with milk, yogurt with fresh fruit and homemade granola (one of the only decent things, but still not justifying the price), the option to have an omelette made (good, but nothing special), and they wanted $5 additional if I wanted them to make a slice of french toast since they served pancakes that day! The cook was literally just sitting there with no customers and I was appalled that they wouldn't cook a quick piece of french toast for me without the upcharge (it was already almost $25/pp).
The pictures are also deceiving, there were no desserts or tea cakes, etc. on this buffet. Just eggs, meat, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, and some breads w/jams.
I actually left HUNGRY (mind you, this is a buffet) because nothing there wowed me enough to go back for a second helping to fill me up. I think they could justify charging half of what they do ($12-13/pp), but even then would not have returned.
Furthermore, I didn't tip the valet at the door since they literally pulled it into a space a few feet ahead of the door, and my husband heard them making fun of the things in our car (I was moving across country for college and it was fairly packed). On the way out they just handed us the keys and asked if we wanted to just get it ourselves....
So, moral of the story, save your money if you are looking for a special experience or a good meal. Neither can be found here.

Poor imitation of Mickey D's or Wendy's. Burgers are about same level as Mickey D's, not as good as Wendy's. Fries are mediocre at best. Onion rings add a bit of variety & are marginally OK. Root beer floats are small. Constant coupons in local newspaper make prices lower than others.
