Portuguese, French and Berber architecture frame the maze-like streets of Essaouira, a charming and vibrant port and resort town on the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby, couples and families stroll the beaches of Cape Sim and Sidi Kaouki, which also attract surfers of all types. Relaxation is easy to find here, as is a bus to Marrakech, for those looking for a daytrip.

I was here on my own, ‘locked’ at a table in a corner from where I could see nobody. The food was good but too expensive for Essaouira.

Miyame is a well kept secret. It's deep inside the medina, doesn't have a big flashy sign, there are no tables on the street. You have to look for it. Is it worth the hassle? Absolutely!!! The Moroccan food is exquisite, all recipes are cooked to perfection. And as prices are low, you'll struggle to find another place giving you more quantity and quality for your money. The cook and waiters are adorable. There's only Seating inside, the place is small and cosy. So come early or late otherwise you may have to come back. If so, there's a reward. Pre order a tride, one of the specialties. It's amazing...

Restaurant decorated with gaiety. Home in simplicity and gentillese. Small menu card but regular suggestions.
We stumbled across this restaurant on our first night in Essaouira and were not disappointed. Amazing moroccan wine, the most delicious food and great service. The second night was equally as good and on the third night it was starting to feel like home !! it's very small and intimate, but equally would be great for a small group. Everybody in the restaurant seemed relaxed and enjoying the amazing food.
We can't wait to go back.

Lovely place in the medina where you and your family can spend time in a typical decor for lunch or dinner at very reasonable prices.
I loved the vegetarian fixed menu! The eggplant salad was delicious, perfect temperature and spice, the veggie couscous was a little dry for my liking but super tasty regardless. I had the same dishes the night before at another highly rated restaurant one street over, but La Tolerance has them beat for taste hands down, and is cheaper! The staff are so welcoming, ambience cozy and well priced, 5* all around!

To find our restaurant in the Medina is not easy thus here is about indications: if you come from the outside from the Medina Bab (door) Marrakesh to take the second street to the right and to follow arrows. If you come from the medina to ask for it the door bab Marrakech or the street SIDI ABDAHLLA and follow her(it) arrows ring (at the top has right the bell) and we shall come to open you and Riad du XVIIIeme discovers her( before discovering the slate which Serge (the parton chef) will explain you and after ben it will be has you to tell it to us ...........
From the moment we tapped on the door if this intriguing to find restaurant we had the most amazing exoerience. Friendly, professional, hospitable people from the front of house to the chef-owner. Best dining exoerience we had in Essaouira. Go for the seafood. Four of us fairly explored the menu and everything was outstanding. Wine was great, cocktails added to tge mood. Meeting the chef added a layer of friendliness. This is a small memorable place, book ahead, its worth the effort to find it

Grilling dishes on glowing embers was at the base of all cookery, and is an art our Chef Mohammed has mastered perfectly. Here on the second floor of the Riad Zahra with an ocean view Mediterranean cuisine is to the fore. Paëllas, lobster or prawns, sea fish, shellfish, meat ... At the heart of our cuisine are the superb natural products, which give out all their savours under the embers' influence, sharing their aromas with the grills and the products cooked on them. Jofre will help you choose dishes that are just right for you and will help you choose wines to match them. There's also a wide range of wines for you to enjoy.
This is a charming, upstairs restaurant with a homey feel and delicious fish. We enjoyed the sea bass and the monk fish. Both were cooked to perfection, and super fresh! The cafe is on a back street, so it's away from the hubbub of the...MoreDear Customers, I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your dinner with us, and we are very glad we met your expectations. You cannot find another place that serves 2-course for DH50! The address on Tripadvisor is wrong so better google it. I recommend downloading maps.me for offline navigation (of course, don’t forget to download the area you need!).
They have really good starters, seafood and pasta! They also serve excellent fruit juices! The dishes are all divine and excellent that we ate here every lunch! Service is excellent and friendly. It’s a very cozy small shop that can accommodate 10 people at a time. You better come here early because they only have 5 school tables (very cute!) and you would have to wait once it’s packed! Highly recommended!

Lovely restaurant where you can enjoy your food (cheff salade, pizza and crepe in our case were delicious) . It is located in a short street and if you look inside, the decoration will catch you because it is full of morroco items mixed with books and modern things. Besides, is really clean and the family is always smiling. English is not a problem.
Finally, they won't ask you tips (something to great for in morroco).
Really good !!
