My family and I just went here for dinner and it was fantastic! Great environment and service! I got the green goat cheese pizza (pictured) and I was in complete heaven. Instead of red sauce I got olive oil which I really loved. The waitress was very nice and got our orders in perfectly with no problems with what we altered. We also got the Brew BQ and it was also a very good pizza. Lastly we got the Gyro which was the perfect size and came with homemade pita and black bean hummus. Really great restaurant.

I don't know why it hasn't dawned on me before to write a review on this fabulous ice cream establishment. I've been coming here for decades every time I'd visit family in Emporia and I guess I just took it for granted.
The ice cream at Braum's is fabulous! I'm not a huge ice cream fanatic (like my wife) but I never pass this place up when we come to Emporia. If you haven't tried Braum's, please do...I think you'll be very happy you did.

Most Starbucks seem pretty standardized. Our coffee and Pumpkin Spice Latte tasted good, as expected.
What impressed me about this Starbucks was the great service. When I told one of the counter employees that
one of the bathrooms was out of toilet paper, she thanked me in a pleasant voice. She immediately started discussing with the two other counter employees who was going to refill the toilet paper. At many other restaurants, employees are not receptive to comments recommending that bathrooms be serviced.
My husband and I stopped here to pass time while waiting to meet a friend at IHOP. This Starbucks is a minute off an I-35 exit, near two motels (Hampton Inn and ---) and various restaurants. It is a comfortable, convenient location.

Diner specializing in Philly Cheesesteaks, Louisiana Style Po-Boys and Classic Hamburgers. Locally owned and operated.
I was having a craving for do-b and ordered carry out. The food is good. Slightly over priced
I was slightly disappointed that the drive through window didn’t work. The employees looked at me and I thought they might come to window but they didn’t. One suggestion is to have drive thru window available for carry out orders
Another suggestion is better cash register. Using the iPad and only having one makes lines long and lines especially longer if they are also on phone doing carry out order
Would get 5 stars if those improvement were made

Locally-owned gourmet chocolate shop with over 200 handmade confections and home to Pop-Choc. The popular destination opened in 2004 and is located next to the historic Granada Theatre.
My husband and I come to Emporia a few times a year, and every time, we stop at the Sweet Granada for its delicious fudge, made daily and in different flavors. Tastings are free, and if you purchase 1 pound of fudge, you get 1/2 pound free. In case you were wondering, my personal favorite is the amaretto fudge,
This candy shop is identified in Trip Advisor as a restaurant, but it is not. It is located next to the restored Granada Theatre on Commercial Street.

Was in Emporia this past weekend for the Dirty Kanza race and stopped in here on a rainy Friday morning. The barista asked if I was doing the race and I said yes and my latte was paid for. Apparently one of the locals donated some money until t ran out for free coffees for the athletes. I had a Vanilla Latte and it was excellent. The place is small with limited seating but we found a table near the back.
A few of the locals noticed my Canadian hockey hat and came over to say hi, welcomed us to their town and thanked us for coming. Sooo Nice!

The title of my review is all you need to know. Get the brisket, add some baked beans, add some cole slaw. It's absolutely top notch. Pulled pork is good, but every bbq place has decent enough pulled pork. If you come here you want what is best and what is best is the brisket.

Located in downtown Emporia on Commercial Street, the Java Cat shares its spaces with crafts and arts gallery. This craft environment adds to the shop's appeal. The coffee served here is skillfully made by knowledgeable baristas who are attentive to the making of the coffee and to the excellent service. On my visit I ordered a latte; it was superb, served in real mug. In addition, the Cafe has other warm and cold drinks: a variety of teas, and Italian sodas. The shop also offers assorted pastries, scones, biscotti, and cookies. My blueberry scone was superb and fresh. There are comfortable sofas and easy chairs for talking or reading. The windows at the front of the Cafe allow for lots of light and warmth. A wonderful place to stop if you are visiting the area or on the way to the Flint Hills.

Ate here last year about this time, and were not as impressed as last year. Atmosphere is colourful, and service was good. Food was average, not great, and certainly not bad.
Complimentary tortilla chips and dips were very good. Our server even brought us a hotter salsa for us to try. Because of the atmosphere, and service, we’d give it another try.

We had the most horrible service at this Braums drive through. We stopped on a Friday afternoon to order beverages and ice cream. The girl taking our order couldn't hear us well, so after several attempts of placing an order we drove to the first window. We ordered our drinks and I asked for a cup of ice cream with caramel sauce.
Her: you want a sundae?
Me: no. I want a cup of ice cream w caramel sauce.
Her: well, I will have to charge you for a sundae.
Me: whatever.
Her: do you want whipped cream, nuts and a cherry?
Me: (wanting to face palm at this point). No. I want a cup of ice cream with caramel sauce.
Her: anything else?
My hubster: I'd like the dollar twist cone.
Her: oh, that price ends at 4:30.
Hubby: it's 4:34.
Her: that price ended.
We debated wanting to point out that we had been trying to order items since before 4:30, but she obviously wasn't trained on customer service.
Hubby: I don't want the cone then.
Her: ok. The price is $xxxx.
Hubby pays and looks at the receipt.
Hubby: You charged me for the cone!
Her: completely ignoring us and taking the next order.
We decided to just get going and guessed that we were supposed to drive to the second window. The girls there hands us our drinks (which we're not filled as we ordered). Then she hands out the sundae. It was this measly, sad looking half-scoop of ice cream with a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Hubby: would you please put more caramel sauce on the sundae?
Her2: that's how much we put on (said belligerently). If you want more, I will have to charge you.
Hubby hands me the drinks and cup of ice cream as he takes his twist cone. Her2 shuts the window.
We don't have a spoon for the sundae.
We knock on the window. We call out. We even honk our horn. Nothing. Nada.
Luckily, we had something already in the vehicle I could use.
This was the WORST customer service we have experienced in a very long time. We left feeling cheated.
