We had dinner here on a Saturday night and enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is set in the main building of a resort that is more than 120 years old. This the surroundings are interesting and beautiful. The place was full and lively. It is hard to find but worth the effort. The service we experienced was excellent. Reservations are essential.
Food was very good but not to the level of a 5 star restaurant. Best things we had: salads, soup, bread sticks and bread, and the ravioli appetizer. Our steaks were high quality meat but needed something. Vegetables were tasteless. We finished the meal with fabulous coffee. The wine list is extensive.
Our meal for four with 4 glasses of wine and two beers before tip was $196.00 which we thought reasonable. Salads/soup were included with the price of an entree which was unexpected.

Fantastic spot to eat breakfast, we did not have any other meals there, but everything looked delicious. They do not really make custom orders it seemed, only what was on the menu. I asked for some minor alterations on the breakfast sandwich but they would not accommodate. Customer service was fine though, and I would visit again if ever going through Emigrant.

We spent 6 nights in the Emigrant, Montana area while visiting Yellowstone. A local recommended Follow Yer' Nose and after a full day touring the park, we wanted to go someplace casual for dinner. We sure were happy we went here! The food was excellent with a variety of house made BBQ sauces available. The wood they smoke with varies daily and they list the type of wood used each day, The brisket and pulled pork were excellent as were the sides of burnt end baked beans, cheesy creamed corn and mac 'n cheese...served with fresh baked breads/rolls from the Wild Flour Cafe next door ( same owners as the BBQ). The service is super friendly at the counter where you order and service was prompt even with hungry customers lined up about 15 ppl deep. You place your order at the counter, pay then they call your name when your order is up. You can sit at the tables under the open air covered patio with string lights and fun decor or at picnic tables in the grassy area. We were there on a Saturday night and it was rocking not only with locals but with a 4 piece band with people dancing at 6:30/7 pm. We enjoyed our experience so much that we went back a few days later for lunch. It was quieter at lunch since we showed up for a late lunch around 1:30 pm. I did not realize the side accompaniments can vary each day with more limited options for lunch for sides and entrees but still a great selection. When I checked their website later that week, it clearly lists the menu each day if the week. I was hoping to get the cheesy corn but it is only a Saturday night accompaniment. Whatever day or time you go to Follow Yer Nose BBQ, you won't regret it. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent.

I love this place. The food is always exceptional and you must order the soup. It is the finest I have ever had. The service is friendly, love Laura and Chaban. They really enjoy their customers and they are wonderfully interesting. Owner Colin is attentive, welcoming and super kind. He runs a classy place. It's worth it!

We stopped in this little hometown cafe for breakfast they are only open from 8am to 2pm. We met the whole family 4 generations and had a great visit plus a meal that is as close to home cooked as you can get. We just loved the atmosphere and friendly people. You have to stop by this one if you are ever in this area.

I’d like to think that Amanda was having a bad night … but our party of four were the first customers of the day, at 5:45pm. Amanda asked whether we’d like to sit inside or outside; we said inside. She then showed us to the...MoreWe are very happy that you ended up having a pleasant dining experience. We hope that you will give us another chance to provide superior service from start to finish.

Anyone who reads my reviews knows I regularly order a burger. Some are certainly better then others and the River's Edge creates a mighty fine one with home made fries. The burgers are 1/2 pounders so we usually split it:). No extra charge for the additional plate. The beer is always cold with about 6 on tap, and bottles in the cooler. A full bar is available. I talked to a lady leaving with a pizza and she opened the box so I could take a peek inside. It was a white pizza which I never expected to see here. Complete with artichoke hearts. The crust was beautiful and browned to perfection. If I hadn't already ordered that burger...anyway she lives nearby and claimed she was cooking that night. She was so friendly and nice which seems to be how people just are around here.
This place also has a pool table and a room on the side with a casino. Lots of parking and outside eating available.
I will tell you now, it would benefit from a regular cleaning. We always sit up at the bar so we are exposed to more then if we sat at a table. We come here when we park our RV down the road about 5 miles. And we come here nearly every time. So clearly we enjoy the environment and the colorful folks that enjoy the fresh and tasty meals as much as we do.
We shall return!
