The small Vegetarian Restaurant is the perfect place to rest during your visit in Cape Coast. It lies between the Castle and the Market amidst the busy town. Our patio, built in traditional style, has a nice view over the sea and the busy Atta Mills Avenue. Our friendly staff of 9 people are 100 % Ghanaian. 6 of them are former students of our Baobab School. Students of our school learn catering, cooking and practice their English. Our chef Madam Christie prepares together with Vida and Rose delicious healthy vegetarian snacks and meals- local and continental. Every day we offer a daily local dish. Our dishes with fresh tofu, soy chunks or oyster mushrooms are the specialty of our restaurant. Vegetable Pies, Banana Cakes and Coconut Cakes are all made with whole-wheat flour. Fresh Pineapple-Moringa Juice, Bisap or Ginger Juice are a must if you visit the Baobab Vegetarian Moringa Restaurant. All vegetables we use are washed in saltwater and many come from the school-owned Organic Farm.
I was so excited to find a vegetarian restaurant after spending 3 months in Ghana. I was slightly disappointed that my first 3 choices where not available (not tofu, pizza, smoothies, or yam) but we enjoyed our salad and Sandwich (the other food I ordered never showed up). I'm hoping that we just came on a bad night and they'll have more of the options on their menu in the future.

A Natural Wooden Structure With A Siren Environment And A Clear Sea View From The Restaurant, Located Adjacent The Cape Coast Castle.
Unlike some other reviews of this restaurant, my experience was both positive and enjoyable. My pizza was tasty and more than enough to satisfy my hunger. My two colleagues also enjoyed their food. The view to the ocean is great. Yes, the place could be...MoreIt is our pleasure, and we do really appreciate your views and will ensure to make the place clean and tidy till we see you again.Thank you very much

This is one of the best places to stay along the Gold Coast, and probably the best in Cape Coast town. It has direct access to the beach, the restaurant is very good and the bungalows, some with shared facilities, are relatively well maintained, although still rustic for your great African experience. This is a very popular place with expects and NGO workers, so it gets booked quickly, particularly at the weekends. The bar is a lively social spot for both the locals and the visitors and coverts into an open air club at weekends.

In 2005 we took cooking lessons from Essie. Was happy to see her in 2016! The joof rice is to die for.

We met Kofi and Africa by chance and accepted their invitation to their restaurant - New Life Cafe. We're glad that we did! The all-natural and intriguing menu items appealed to all 11 in our group (about 2/3 of the quaint capacity) with favorites including the chocolate /banana and pineapple/ginger pancakes, as well as the New Life Potatoes. We also sampled a number of the juices which were all yummy. Try the soy peanut butter and chocolate smoothie!
It's great to interact with the same person taking your order, preparing and serving your meal, including the quick trip out for the freshest ingredients. If you're more than a couple, it would be nice to call ahead so that they're able to obtain what you want. While you're waiting or resting after a good meal, there are a number of adjacent shops with the same positive vibe. Go visit and enjoy!

The place is in front of the ocean, with upstairs floor equipped with sofas. Delicious food and fresh juices. The owner is a lovely lady who put a lot of passion and enthusiasm in her work! It is 5 minutes walking from the castle!

"A local gem in the heart of Elmina, since 1994!" Gramsddel J is a very popular local restaurant and beach bar in the middle of historic Elmina, with great view of the historic Elmina Castle in Ghana. Established since 1994, Gramsddel J is a local hotspot with a tasty range of dishes including local Ghanaian dishes, African-fusion, American fare and Vegan/Vegetarian fare. All the food is fresh, especially the seafood dishes prepared from the day's catch. Chef's daily special for vegan and vegetarian dishes available upon request.
The spot has one of the best views in Elmina overlooking the main beach and the mighty fortress. It is a rustic place with facilities requiring much maintenance, particularly at the beachfront, but it is a lovely breeze place and they will open the beachfront section (often not used by the locals) if you ask. This is mainly for drinks, as the food is somewhat below average.

This is my favourite 'spot' (bar) in Cape-Coast. It's right on the ocean surrounded by Coconut trees and there's always a cooling breeze -- hence the name and you don't need to worry about mosquitoes in this location. They also serve food - sandwiches, omelettes etc. Service is good by local standards.
