The village is located within Elk Rapids Township, about 15 miles (24 km) north of Traverse City. It is physically split by the Elk River, which runs between nearby Elk Lake and Grand Traverse Bay.

Service was Excellent, the food was excellent, we’ve missed Cajun food and found a Honey hole! Started out with fried green tomatoes which were good except the watery sauce underneath took away from the crunch.
Husband had crawfish/andouille Etouffee and I had the the Catfish with crawfish-garlic sauce, cheddar grits and broccoli. Both dinners were excellent Will definitely be back!

We opted for ice cream treats after dinner one night. We ordered a variety of flurries. They were good...very similar to the offerings of Dairy Queen/Culvers/Tastee Freeze. There were a variety of ice cream creations to choose from. Bonus: they were open later than most businesses in town.

We stopped in on our way to a golf outing. Counter service only. I got the Breakfast Casserole, daughter got a bagel and fruit cup. Nice seating by the window!

Breakfast is served all day here, thank goodness, because the blueberry pancakes are so good, served with real butter, real maple syrup and real orange juice. The eggs & bacon are well-prepared too and the prices are reasonable and the service quick and friendly. What's not to like?

What a great little ice cream shop! Situated on River Street in the little village of Elk Rapids, the Ice Cream Peddler offers unusual flavors...great flavors. One of my favorites is the maple flavor (I think it's called Gary & Dan's Maple Nut). The size is a great value for the money, and the waitstaff are all cordial and pleasant...great place!!!

The food at Siren Hall is very tasty and the portions are large! Our only disappointment (there were 4 of us) centered on the wines and alcohol. The wine list is pretty obscure although we found an adequate Chardonnay, and we were told they had a specific brand of single malt scotch, but when it was served, it in no way was that -- too light in color and didn't taste like what my friend knows well. Still and all, we were happy diners!

We are locals & recently heard about this fabulous Soul Food eatery from a co-worker & had to check it out. I must have driven past this gem a hundred times over the past 4+ years. Took my boyfriend & two teenage boys,17 & 15, who all can pack it away... They LOVED It. Met Kolu & her son who are very friendly. The food was amazing! Quite a variety of both sides & meat, it was hard to choose only one meat & 2 sides for only $5. Three of us had the jerk chicken & one ribs of Huge portions! We tried the beans & rice, Mac n cheese, candied yams, green beans w almonds, mashed potatoes w chives..all were better than you could imagine. Every one of us left stuffed & raving how delicious it was. I've traveled all around the world & very rarely have had such a delectable experience!

I got lunch here as take out on a Sunday. The lamb pasty was fine, more dough than filling, but tasty and other offerings in the case looked appetizing. Service to take my order was quick, but then disappeared when I needed to pick it up and go, so I talked to the kitchen myself. They have an awkward set up, where you order to the right of the entrance, then pay to the left of the entrance and it doesn't look like they have any communication between the two.

I'm a frequent customer at The Town Club and a "local". This is our village's traditional "Up North" bar. Only this place has very good food-not just the usual fried stuff you find in most bars. The burgers are the most popular and for good reason. But I prefer the gyros. Nearly as good as I've found in good Greek restaurants. The Philly sub is a great choice too.
The Edmund Fitzgerald porter on tap is a great dark craft beer.

Take into account this review is based on a lunch time "by the slice" pizza order and not ordering a fresh pizza. We had been told this was a must stop for pizza so we did. Both my wife and I did not even finish our slice. Very little taste in crust and ingredients were less than average. Definitely the vacations biggest disappointment
